Atlanta is uniquely dubbed the “the city in a forest” as a result of a topographic feature that includes rolling hills and dense tree coverage. This distinct topography makes the city even more attractive to visitors. Atlanta has been described by National Geographic as a “Place of a Lifetime” due to the 36% tree coverage of the city. This is the highest in the whole of the United States’ major cities.
