The St. Regis, Atlanta
Expert reviews
“Atlanta only has a handful of true five-star experiences, and the St. Regis is one of them. For a city hotel, guest rooms are massive, starting at 440 sq. ft., with suites ranging from 680 sq. ft. to the Empire Suite’s spacious 2,800 sq. ft.”

“Rooms have an airy feel thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, the luxurious pillow topped St. Regis bed with 300-count Egyptian cotton sheets, and large bathrooms separated from the sleeping area by sliding barn-style doors.”

“The St. Regis Atlanta towers over Buckhead, one of the most prestigious addresses in Atlanta. Its impressive European-style architecture, fine custom furnishings and décor, top of the line amenities and impeccable first-class service set a new standard for luxury in Atlanta.”
“Located across the promenade from some of Atlanta’s best shopping, this elegant hotel offers destination dining, a lively bar frequented by locals, and a popular spa. Spring for a room with a balcony overlooking the Buckhead neighbourhood.”

All you need to know
If you are looking for pure, unadulterated Southern luxury with a side of global swagger, the St. Regis Atlanta in Buckhead is pretty much the gold standard. Opened in 2009, this 26-story landmark functions like a neighborhood in the sky, mixing a five-star hotel experience with ultra-exclusive private residences.
The masterminds behind the building’s look are the renowned architects at Rabun Rasche Rector Reece. They purposefully channeled a massive “Beaux-Arts” vibe, taking heavy inspiration from the classic grand hotels of New York and Paris, but styling it to completely blend in with Atlanta’s traditional heritage.
Inside, the design screams high society. The interior team actually drew inspiration from the area’s cinematic and artistic history. If you wander into their acclaimed Atlas restaurant, you aren’t just getting dinner—you are basically eating inside a museum, thanks to an extraordinary collection of 20th-century art hanging on the walls, featuring original masterpieces by Picasso, Chagall, and Matisse.
And the history of the actual dirt it sits on is wild. Back in the 1960s, this exact luxury hotspot was home to a massive Sears department store. Talk about an upgrade!
