Inside, the design is a striking contrast to the exterior’s boldness. The interiors embrace a serene, Scandi-minimalist aesthetic, featuring clean white lines and high-end Italian design pieces from brands like Moroso and FontanaArte. Natural oak floors, mosaic-tiled bathrooms, and leather-clad canopy beds create a calm, sophisticated retreat, offering a peaceful sanctuary after the day-tripping crowds depart.
Guests have the unique opportunity to live like a local, navigating the quiet, labyrinthine streets of the island at night. Each house includes a cozy communal living area and kitchenette, perfect for relaxing with a book or a glass of wine. While the houses are spread across different parts of the island, Burano is small and entirely walkable, making it easy to explore.
The island itself is a treasure trove of culture, home to the historic Lace Museum and the iconic, leaning bell tower of the Church of San Martino. You can cross the wooden bridge to neighbouring Mazzorbo to wander through the ancient walled vineyards of the Venissa estate or catch a vaporetto to explore the glass-blowing workshops of Murano and the historic sites of central Venice.

Overall we we happy
Location away from tourist area. The welcome from the ferry stop .
The shower was difficult to work out how to use. My husband scolded his hand trying to work out how to use the shower

Disappointing and certainly not value for money
Considering we paid a lot for a rather small, poorly put together room, we assumed breakfast would be included and not an extra 30 euros! The actual breakfast was good.
The person who met us to show us where our room was, was rather unfriendly and walked very fast without telling us properly where things were and what was what. All he really wanted was to take credit card details for the tax. We luckily asked if breakfast was brought to us and were told it was extra and a 15 min walk ( it was raining and we weren’t offered an umbrella. He didn’t bother to give us directions to where the restaurant was. There was a box of rubbish left on the window sill when we arrived and was still there when we left. (He really should have moved it prior to our arrival.?)We were woken at 4am by guests making coffee just outside our room and moving suitcases above us and talking loudly- we assume getting a flight home. The sound insulation was not considered. We feel that the owners are taking advantage as there is no where else to stay on Burano. The actual restaurant was excellent, even though is was poorly sign posted and hardly lit!

Pleasant but paid for breakfast which was never eaten.
Gorgeous bedroom and bathroom. Complimentary wine offered.
Heated tiled floors.
Breakfast was a 10 minute walk away from room on another island!
No clear instructions on how to check out.

Fabulous stay in Burano
- Really peaceful just off a central part of Burano.
- Extremely comfortable, warm and felt like a little bit of luxury.
- Met at the water bus stop and taken to hotel.
- Felt safe as a solo female traveller.

Beautiful and charming staying in a colourful corner of Burano
There was a bath in the room and we didn’t expect it, so was a very pleasant surprise
Breakfast was served in a different location, which is set up in a beautiful vineyard but it took us 15 minutes to get to it, and I don't think is ideal as per your first meal of the day if you consider you have to check out at 10.30

The Casa Burano Experience is not to be missed!
Casa Burano is a beautiful original building with three different rooms located in the heart of Burano, about 10 minutes walk from Venissa on Mazzorbo island. Elegant from the first footfall inside, the room was expansive and comfortable for a short stay with an exceptional shower and tub as well as an incredibly comfortable bed. The downstairs tables are very useful for a snack or a little work--but the room is for lazing around when not visiting nearby Torcello or taking walks among these islands. Burano is a wonderful retreat from Venice proper but with Venissa so close for superb dinners and breakfasts, as well as lovely small places in Burano, you cannot miss the experience of feeling like you have found a secret--and do not want to leave!

I loved everything about the property. The location was perfect for my daughter and I.
