Awesome buffet…Impressed

The toilet in the bathroom kept malfunctioning…Not flushing

The bed was super comfy, the hotel is beautiful and we got some prosecco in the room as this was our special trip. The rooftop has a beautiful view and the facilities seem good although we did not have time to use it. The connecting boat to the city centre goes every 20-30min.

The service was far from 5 star facility level. We asked for an early checkin a few times and were left to believe it would be honoured but when we arrived only 1 hour before the official check in time the room was still not ready. The staff was not very well informed whenever we had questions. We also were charged three times for our room with some explanation we will get refunded the other two. Lastly, there s plenty additional charges - even the WiFi!

The hotel's location is excellent and the room was very nice with a wonderful view. Breakfast was very good and with a wide choice on offer. Reception staff & concierge - all highly professional & friendly. Although the shuttle service has to be paid for, it is very well run, good value for money & the men who operate it do so professionally.

For a 5 star hotel, it is disappointing that the only water provided in the room has to be paid for from the mini bar - 6 Euros for a small bottle. We were very disappointed that having paid for breakfast on the final morning, there is no provision for having an early breakfast, i.e. slightly earlier than 7am. We understood the reason for not allowing the whole restaurant area to be open, but simply wanted to grab a couple of items before making our way to the airport. Even though I spoke politely & courteously to one male staff member, his response was extremely rude, and rather than allow me to get a few words out by way of explanation, he talked over me & with a high degree of arrogance.

The fact that you had to book into the pool area to enjoy it. No one S mentioned this until I was stopped at entrance. There is no way everyone could get a spot there as it’s too small

The hotel is beautiful, it is away from the hustle of St Mark's so it is really great to return to tranquility after a busy day out. There are some fantastic little restaurants just down the road and a convenience store that has everything one needs. The water taxi runs frequently from the hotel straight to St Marks and Zaterre later in the day which is perfect and it runs regularly enough that planning your day is easy. The hotel pool area is amazing and sets it apart for me.

It was difficult for the staff to understand us and for us to understand the staff which was frustrating. There was no complimentary water in the rooms which is unexpected. Our shower facilities in the room were not great. The light fitting was loose in the shower giving a grubby look, the shower leaked so we ended up using all the towels to mop the floor. The lights in our room seemed to be affected by what the people in the room next door to us were doing. I think the coffee facilities in the rooms for this establishment and its rating were not up to standard, should have little Nespresso machines or the like. The concierge desk was not as helpful as one would expect from this sort of hotel. They advertise Omega and Rolex in the hotel but when we asked to purchase they said no. There was no attempt to contact either franchise to inquire whether they could send someone out to the hotel to do the transaction, they simply stated that we can go into Venice and find them and inquire. We then had to request a map from the concierge and then had to ask where the watch dealers were. We also inquired about an artist. This time the concierge just said that we must google them, so it came down to us then asking whether they would mind doing the inquiry for us. Again a lot of prompting required for what I feel they should automatically do. Maybe my expected service levels are just higher

Breakfast was very nice here, a full spread of all sorts of breakfast options. The hotel itself was very nice, clean, and open. The spa visit was very nice, relaxing and a nice treat for inside the hotel.

We did not know that you had to pay a one-time fee to use the ferry, not a problem but they charged my 13-year-old son a fee to do so. I only learned after we left children under 18 are free.

No complementary water in the rooms

Excellent location, very clean hotel with excellent, welcoming staff. Efficient shuttle service to main island. Would definitely stay there again if visiting Venice.

Sound isolation between rooms was not great, could hear television in next room.

You have to book to use the pool in advance and could only have 2 hrs use a day. you have to pay additional at breakfast for an omelette. Most if not all 5 star hotels normally include this.

Unclear re directions to the hotel and the means of transport to get there. Response to my email communication (which I was told to do by the hotel) with details from the concierge on travel was too slow and only came after we were already in the hotel a day. A lot of ambiguity and confusion around the shuttle bus service provided and the cost of it. We purchased water bus tickets for 5 people at a cost of €175 because the shuttle service looked to be more expensive at €15 euro per person but this was actually not the case which we found out ourselves despite asking several times.

The rooms were nice. Spacious and provides good option for families. The shuttle boat to town is great. Staff were nice. Breakfast was great with loads of options.

The sofa beds were not so comfortable. The price of drinks in the bar were too high.

Amazing building, beautifully finished. Rooftop was great amazing views, friendly staff gorgeous views.

There was conflicting information provided on multipolar occasions we were told there were no pool slots left at the desk we were told to visit (this had to be the same day as you want to visit the pool you can’t pre book) we then went to the pool on the rooftop and tried to book and we were told they have all slots available. Drinks were expensive on the rooftop and throughout, room was fairly cozy

Wi-Fi was weak 

Skyline Bar in the evening is very nice. Roof top pool is fantastic, but you need to book a slot in the morning. Roof top pool also has a nice bar area. Some rooms have been refurbished, some look like they are due to be, but still in good condition. Busy but nice hotel, nice to stay a little outside the busy Venice main areas, which are only a 5 minute shuttle boat ride away.

Reception can be busy at times, but there is normally quite a few staff working.

The prices of food and drink at the hotel were astronomical- but excessive on roof top - €12 for a glass of wine is crazy in the ground floor bar!! And then add €3 for the same glass of wine but on the roof top!! Not required!!

Booking a slot for the swimming pool. Poor value for money. Breakfast was poor but expensive.

The hotel is a former mill and pasta factory turned into a magnificent building located on an island in front of Venice reachable by boat shuttle. View on Venice from the roof bar and swimming pool is splendid. Personnel especially concierge is very helpful ( great support for a late arrival due to stormy weather at airport) / do not forget to reserve a time slot for swimming pool during summer period /. Breakfast is perfect and not too busy since there are two buffet rooms. Excellent dinner at one of the restaurant of the hotel at the terrace in front of the canal - I will definitively return for both business and leisure purpose

The rooftop pool and bar - make sure to book on the day to get a slot! The regular water taxi/shuttle - it ran till late as well. The bed was really comfy and we had a nice view of the water from our hotel room. The bedroom was nice and cool. The staff were friendly. Everything was really clean! They had gluten-free options for breakfast and dinner.

Although we were upgraded (for free) to a superior room with a view, the room wasn't that big. The bathroom didn't seem like a superior room bathroom either - water pressure was low in the shower, and the decor was a bit outdated. The price of food for breakfast and dinner was quite expensive. The directions around the hotel were not very clear - but once you knew your way around, it was fine. I thought it was a bit cheeky to charge for the water taxi per person, as I think it should've been included in the price of the hotel.
