One Shot Mercat 09, Valencia

Everything!!! The location was fantastic, there’s a lovely restaurant right around the corner (I forgot what it’s called) and only a 5 minute walk to Atena rooftop bar which I also recommend booking if you’re visiting Valencia! The staff were friendly, the showers were lovely and our rooms were great, house keeping also very good and made our rooms look lovely each day. The roof top at the hotel was our fave place for selfies and was lovely to hang out there during the day. There’s also a supermarket next door to the hotel which was great!!!

Booked a twin room, turned up to a double room, requested twice for a twin upon booking, nothing could be done on arrival. Very poor. Floor was coming up in the bedroom next to the glass shower. Horrible smell in the hallway!

The room was dark, there was no privacy in the balcony area. This would have benefited from some clear dividers.
The breakfast room was very enclosed and there were no staff to assist. The selection of breakfast foods was also limited.

The hotel is modern and in a great location if you want to explore the city by foot.
The room was big and comfortable.
The breakfast was very nice - there were many things to chose from.
Also the staff was friendly and supportive.

It was not an issue for us but good to know: you need to reserve a spot for the pool as it is very small and there is not much space.

Every person I spoke with in reception was extremely kind and helpful. They were eager to make recommendations on restaurants, drinks, and transportation. They were also helpful with reserving pool time and any other general questions about the town. Really above and beyond!

The bed for me was quite soft and dipped so during the night my back started hurting and I'm a small person (5 foot 4 inches and about 120 lbs). Usually I never say anything about a mattress. It was fine, not terrible but because so much of the rest of the hotel was amazing, this was the one low point.

The location was excellent, in the middle of the old town with shops and restaurants minutes away. Staff were very friendly and helpful offering some great recommendations. Breakfast was fresh with good variety. Although the pool was very small with only 4 sun loungers they had a booking system which worked very well.

The shower and toilet were separate cubicles with the sink in the main room. The shower cubicle only had smoked glass so not very private and ours leaked flooding the main room and toilet. They did try to fix and offered to try and swap our room. My friend’s bed was dipped at one side causing her back ache trying to stop from rolling off. They tried to fix and it was better for a short while then started to deteriorate again. Mine was very comfortable however.

Excellent location! Not on one of the busiest streets so we found it to be relatively quiet at night (our room was internal facing which probably helped) but close enough to the central market to easily access restaurants, shops and bars.
Room was clean, spacious and comfortable.
The staff were absolutely lovely. Friendly, knowledgable and helpful. They gave our little girl a rubber duck to play with in the pool which was very sweet. The pool although small (which we fully anticipated) was lovely. You have to book a 1 hour slot in advance which ensures the area doesn’t get too busy. We had to wait a couple of times, but it wasn’t an issue. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as so many nearby options so can’t comment on that.

I booked for 3 of us, myself, my husband and our 3 year old daughter. We then got a message saying our daughter could either sleep in the bed with us (it was a super king) or we could pay 40Euros a night to have a sofa bed in the room. I suggested we could bring a small inflatable travel bed for her and they said there would not be room. We opted for her to sleep in our bed. When we arrived, we found that there was a sofa bed in the adjoining room. When we queried it staff told us that this was all included as we had booked a suite, which I should I add had plenty of room for a travel bed. I thought this was poor communication on their front and could have cost us a necessary amount of money.
Air con only seemed to work in the adjoining room of our suite.

Location and style.

Having to book a hour maximum slot for the pool- this was not stated anywhere on the booking.com listing when we booked.

Breakfast was ok. Shame they didn’t cook to order ie omelette etc. not too keen on microwaving my food. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Sadly some of the food looked a bit frazzled by the heat of the room.

Advertised bar etc but it was shut for some reason. I know there are a lot of bars around but at the end of an evening it’s lovely to just chill out in your own hotel.

Excellent location, right by the market. Lovely room with all the amenities (minus kettle like many Spanish hotels). Quiet, good shower and very comfy bed. Plunge pool was a nice added extra where we chilled as friends.

Rooms were a bit dark but ok! Shower smelt a bit damp.

Small hotel right in the middle of town, very cosy and comfortable. Great service, friendly and always helpful.

A bit outdated room, with visible little damages. For example cracked plinth all over the perimeter.
We got a dark room facing the next building. Not a problem for one night stay, but still, the whole impression of the room is “cold”.

Please replace your soap! 😂 It's hardly worth the name. Also, the bed was a bit strange, comfortable but slightly sloping at the sides. Restless sleepers might end up on the floor.

Great location in the heart of the Old town. Friendly stuff. Clean, spacious rooms. There is a swimming pool as well, but we haven't used it in February. Breakfast was all right..

More fruits and vegetables in the breakfast menu would be good!

Location was excellent. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Bed was comfortable. Accommodation was clean and well serviced each day.

Bedroom storage could be improved. We didn't like the low height of the shower and the door in clothes hanging area opening back to block off sink and we would prefer sink in the bathroom. There was an unpleasant smell on entering the room. Breakfast area not very inviting.

The adjacent Karak restaurant is also most definitely worth a visit!

No coffee maker in the room.

Modern, stylish, clean, spacious, perfectly located, mini supermarket opposite, reasonably priced car park nearby, helpful and friendly staff on reception.

No coffee or tea making facilities in the room. We paid for breakfast and the hot selection was kept warm and the yoghurts were not refrigerated. Gluten free options restricted to lemon cake (no bread, crackers or cereals). Fruit options limited to apple, orange or kiwi.

Very convenient location to visit the city centre. Very big room. Nice design.

There wasn't any drawer or shelf to store clothes inside the wardrobe. Only the pole to hang on the jackets. The room has plenty of space and it looked, despite the design, that somebody wasn't good enough to finish the interior of the wardrobe. Also, the terrace was closed and although it was announced that the swimming pool was closed during this season I think it would be a good point to have the chance to sunbathe for a short time.

Room was very comfortable and spacious with a large and comfortable bed. The painted ceiling was great - our very own Sistine Chapel! The location was excellent, right in the centre of the old town. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Was not keen on having the washing basin in the bedroom, would have preferred a more conventional layout with a separate bathroom. Also the high chairs and tables were not very comfortable for eating breakfast. Both minor issues though.
