Hotel Neptuno, Valencia

The location was excellent ; staff super helpful and friendly, especially at breakfast they couldn’t do more. They definitely made the week at the hotel

The rooms were a little tired looking and repairs done were not befitting a 4 star (shower unit) and generally the hotel could do with a refurb in places.

Very clean and comfy rooms, complimentary toiletries provided. Very friendly staff, helpful and accessible 24/7. Location is outstanding - you can see the beach from the restaurant windows and feel as if you are on the beachfront.

Overall experience was very very good across our two night stay. Only very very minor - conditioner would be a nice bonus included in the toiletries (very much NOT a necessity though!) and complimentary coffee was decaf only.

All the staff (reception, housekeeping and restaurant) were friendly and helpful, all were very happy to help us with our questions etc., couldn't ask for more from them. The photo's online of our room was accurate to what we had when we checked in and water provided in the mini-fridge free of charge, all the basics you would expect in the room including a safe, tea/coffee making and minifridge, bathroom items provided (including disposable razor, soap/shampoo/bodywash etc.), breakfast was good with fresh scrambled eggs made to order (however, there are a lot of options for breakfast locally which were less expensive), location is excellent, right on the beach front (beach towels are provided in the room which was good). Had a lovely stay here.

The roof pool was lovely for a toddler, access to the beach was very easy, room service was fast and reasonably priced (though options limited), mini bar items were complimentary

Mattress and pillow were not the best. We had the option of only a sheet or a very heavy blanket. Something middle weight would have been helpful for hot hot summer nights with AC on as AC vents blew directly into the bed but it was too hot to leave them off.

Location and views were amazing

The beach club noise kept us awake until 3am a couple of nights.

Was a bit loud during the nights, as it is close to the club/summer concert arena.
No normal mini fridge, just mini bar, so a bit hard to store any food/leftovers as the temp is not cold enough.
No microwave.

This hotel is recommended for a city trip to Valencia. The location next to the harbor and the beach is ideal for a walk along the promenade. There is a streetcar stop and various bus lines nearby, making it easy to get into the city. There is also a hop-on hop-off bus stop nearby.

Our room on the harbor side was large enough and functionally furnished considering that we were out and about all day and were only in the room to sleep. In the evening the music (bass) from the nearby beach club could be heard, but we didn't mind. The room was clean and the room service was very reliable.

The breakfast buffet had a good selection of meats, cheeses and fruit and egg dishes were freshly prepared. A good start to a day in the city.

All in all a successful stay and we would come again.

Our only criticism concerns the staff at reception. When we entered the lobby, we never heard a "Hola" or "Buenos días" or saw a smiling face that would have made us feel welcome. This is not what we are used to from Spanish hotels.

Great location by beach and port, nice sea view room.

Night club in port playing music until 4am, so conscious of it even with windows closed and AC on.

- Great location directly by the beach, travel to city within 30 with public transport
- Standard rooms nothing special, clean

- Beware of the “pool”, its more of a bathtub, only 30 cm deep
- Breakfast can be found cheaper and better in the surroundings
- Lounge and public area could be improved, does not really invite to sit down and read.
- Rooftop terrace could be improved by serving drinks
