If you want to experience a traditional ryokan but with tasteful modern additions definitely come here. It’s absolutely delightful and the owners have gone to great lengths to make it comfortable and hospitable. We loved our stay here and felt we got a taste of traditional Japanese style living.

The location to the subway, the hospitality and size/style of room, as well as the view of the city scape which was quintessential Tokyo at its finest - thank you for an unforgettable experience.

There isn’t anything to mention - but save your pennies, it’s worth what you pay but is in no way cheap. Just to comment but as by no means a complaint in anyway - it would have been nice to be able to pay for access to the hotels club lounge (I didn’t realise you had to do this as part of the room type booking you make at the time of booking), but I respect the policy of the hotel completely.

The room size is big for Tokyo, it's perfect if you stay with the family. The location is pretty convenient. The ataffs were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was also very nice.

When we checked out and were ready to leave, we booked a car to pick us up at the airport. The front door staff was not very helpful without luggage. He was just standing there and did not offer to help get our luggage into the SUV. We had to ask if he could help. He then helped with one piece of luggage, stood aside did not continue helping us, which I found very weird. Other than this incident, our stay was very good.

The Location and the view were perfect!

The bar with non smoking area was restricted, also with lower ground with no view was a bit of a shame.

Everything was excellent. The hotel is beautifully designed, well maintained, excellent facilities and very peaceful. The rooms are large and well appointed and very quiet. A handy location on top of many Metro lines. We will definitely return .

Cleanliness was top-notch & attention to detail was amazing. Spacious room with a great view. Dining was amazing too - tried Suiren and the cafe on the lobby. Great amenities too. Service was available in both Japanese and English.

Love the design by Kengo Kuma & Ed Tuttle. Location is excellent especially with 2 Metro station accessible via elevator to basement part of hotel. Room is very big and comfortable.

Strangely the internet connection in the room was very slow; hopefully it was a temporary issue for the room and the hotel.

The location is excellent. Easy to get to by train, beautiful location. Very peaceful area to come back to after seeing the sights and shopping in Tokyo.

Bed a bit too firm.

An exceptional hotel. Very generous room size by any standard, well appointed room, attentive staff. A short walk via the temple to local restaurants, and lift access to the metro stop downstairs which connects to several lines. Wonderful views from our room. They were accommodating of our 1yr old and we couldn't have asked for much more during our stay!

Good location with great design, service and amenities. The location is in a quiet neighbourhood but still having convenient access to most places of interest for tourists. The place has been designed by noted Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and has a good vibe. Service and amenities were also exceptional and especially loved their jinbei pyjamas (much better than the ones we had in Four seasons Otemachi). An excellent property overall.

Nothing I didn’t like but suggest should have merchandise to purchase. Loved their Jinbei and would have loved to get one to take back home!

Perfect location and the service was excellent

When I booked through Booking.com, my cards were refused when I was trying to book the room which was ay around 4,000 Euros. I tried everything I could and could not get the booking confirmed. Finally a couple of days before I was due to travel, I finally got through but the price had gone to more than 6,000 Euros. So it was frustrating that I had to pay about 2,000 Euros more.

Amazing view from the room. Room cleaning was impeccable, the best we've had in Japan. Very good location in central Tokyo, easy to travel to the different neighbourhoods.

In-room dining was pretty mediocre compared to Tokyo food standards.

Incredible location with metro station access from the basement + bus from Narita stops at the hotel. Rooms are excellent. We stayed in both the Club Deluxe and the Premier King and of course, the latter is that much more special. both rooms had sneaky views of Mt. Fuji so that completely sold me. The club lounge is better - in terms of quality of food and drinks - than others I've experienced. Staff is super nice. It is popular for business events, conferences and weddings and while there were a few during our stay, nothing restricted us from having a good time. It is a large hotel in the middle of an amazing city. I'd recommend the Capitol for a few nights in Tokyo to anyone looking for an elegant, classy and comfortable stay.

We checked in around 8:30pm given arrival in Narita around 6. Food options were very limited for what I think isn't too late. The restaurants were closed and room service was rather limited (particularly for vegetarians) and it, too, ended at 10:30.

High profile hotel, quality of service, kind and qualified personnel, set-up and size of the room, central location, you can go everywhere by metro (4 lines are literally just at the foot of the hotel)

We stayed in this hotel for the first time in 2013. Then in 2014, 2015 and now again in 2024. Despite the fact that the rooms have some age to them, everything is completely immaculate. Beds are comfortable, shower is amazing and the view from the large windows is lovely. Staff are friendly and helpfull. Location is excellent due to direct access to four metro-lines. Not to mention the outstanding dinner at Japanese restaurant Suiren.

The room was exceptionally comfortable and clean, especially the bed and the bathroom. One of the most comfortable set-ups I've experienced in a long time. View was stunning. I'd come back just for the tub. The location above the subway station was perfect and taxis were always on deck. An extremely good value for the quality.

There was absent staff at the spa on two occasions, which made inquiring about services difficult.

Room is spacious and comfy with a nice view of the Tokyo cityscape. The location is superb as well, being connected to Tameike-sanno train station. There is also a convenience store just outside the hotel beside the train station. Amenities were all great and service staff were very hospitable as well.

This was a once in a lifetime experience - Excellency on every level - You expect something great for the standard, but it's beyond expectations of how good my stay there was - Extremely friendly staff, extra service, and everyone speaks english - This is a hotel you should have on your bucket list!

The bathrooms and shower were so nice!!! The staff were all very nice too. The French toast at breakfast was the best we ever had.

We booked for 6 people but they only had 4 beds in the rooms, so we had to ask for 2 extra beds.

I didnt love the location of the hotel but other than that it was amazing. Customer service was phenomenal and the room was comfortable. The metro was close. I just didn't realize how big and confusing the lobby and hotel were.

Modern, clean and luxurious property that is conveniently located in a quieter area (but still very convenient) which we really enjoyed. We also appreciated access to four subway lines as the subway station was right below the hotel. Breakfast at the hotel was delicious too- plenty of options and variety.

A bit expensive but totally worth it

Everything was good. The hotel is centrally located and directly connected to a few subway lines. The commute to Ginza, Shibuya, Shinjuku is super convenient. And it's within walking distance to food street. Special mention to the concierge team who is superb to help us reserve a few restaurants, including Sukiyabashi Jiro. Their services are very professional and friendly.

It’s a beautiful hotel with beautiful views of Tokyo. It’s very clean and the staff were very friendly.

It’s not a choice I would make again for a family hotel. They do not allow people under the age of 20 in to the pool/ gym and casual bar area. We felt a little isolated in the room while at the hotel.

Quite location, yet accessible transportation to other areas. The subway station is in the basement of the hotel. There is a beautiful shrine located outside the front of the hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful with amazing views from the room. Short walk to fun resturants and bars.

The hotel provided excellent service with excellent concierge assistance. The rooms are fairly large and comfortable with oversize bathrooms. Very good access to the Tokyo Metro.

The neighborhood although very central, was somewhat less engaging than I expected. We tended to head to other areas of Tokyo, which is one of the most interesting cities.

Lowest priced 5 star hotel. Conveniently located to metro lines.

It’s located slightly north of the crazy Shibuya district, which is great to visit but I’m not so sure about staying near. It’s next to the government building areas, so it’s ever so slightly quieter (at least as far as Tokyo goes). There’s a subway station in the basement, and if you’re brave enough, all of Tokyo basically lay at your feet. We arrived rather late at night and discovered to our amazement that it is adjacent to a beautiful shrine, which was empty and dark and positively magical - buzzing with cicadas and downright enchantment. The building itself it exquisite and beautiful, with views all around. Everything you could want in a pinch is a short walk away - from convenience stores (everywhere) to walk in, quality but not pretentious restaurants. Arriving about 9pm as we did, we were starving, and within minutes wandered into a ramen place that was busy but not haughty and we proceeded to devour a sumptuous dinner. The hotel also has a glorious indoor pool and spa on the 14th floor, which opens at 6:30 and which I visited every morning for some laps and relaxation. The staff were incredible. I traveled there with my daughter, who speaks Japanese, but when she wasn’t around, they were conversant in english. Also, check out the incredible whisky bar on the 4th floor. Room was absolutely silent and clean. Comfortable beds. Incredible views. When I return to Tokyo, I shall return to the Capitol Hotel.

Beautiful, truly modern Japanese with top notch service. Every detail thought through. Quite, comfortable.

As we arrived tired after a 13.5 hr flight, we decided to eat at the hotel. The sushi omakase at the Japanese restaurant Suiren was exceptional. Highly recommend it. The hotel staff were super kind and friendly. Loved the Japanese hospitality.
