Hotel Ovolo 1888 Darling Harbour, Sydney

Quirky unique boutique style hotel in a good location. Accessible to most of Sydney’s attractions. The staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and the rooms were comfortable. The breakfast was not a set price, so we could order off the menu which accommodated our preferences of either a light or a cooked breakfast. Would recommend the Woolstore 1888 for your visit to Sydney.

The room was great, the bed was so comfortable and location excellent. The lack of water bottles being replenished and 2 days of not replenishing the tissue box was annoying and had to ask reception late at night.

Comfy bed, quiet hallways, thoughtful room amenities like beverages in the refrigerator and plenty of tea bags with the kettle, well placed USB charging outlets and good lighting

Breakfast at the hotel was delicious with great options, but you pay more for the convenience

Lovely atmosphere in the bar and lounge downstairs. Excellent service from the staff, who organised a nice surprise for the birthday person amongst our group. Top location near Darling Harbour, walking distance to the Lyric theatre.

Rooms were on the small side (although we specifically booked the small one, so that is on us), but the problem was getting on the bed was not easy with no room down either side so we had to climb over the end. Bed was very soft, which some may like, but not for me.

We loved the all the features left from the original building. Breakfast was delicious

Unable to connect to wifi. ‘Alexis’ not working. Remote control for tv not working properly. Maybe these issues were to do with the fact that we arrived on the day rebranding was occurring

Comfy room with a free minibar. Close to Darling Harbour, with a light rail stop not far from the front door. Great vibe and lovely staff. Their breakfast recommendations were on the money :D

A little cool could have been an extra blanket in room. Also some bath salts for the bath would have been a nice thing to have.

Great location, close to Darling Harbour - we were attending a show at The Star, so very convenient. Plenty of places to eat nearby and fairly easy to access. These hotels are distinctive.

Mostly good, the only negative was the bathroom - size was OK but overwhelmed by a huge bath with the toilet (strangely low) poked in beside the sink. As with most hotels, never enough room on the vanity for your "stuff"!

Great location tucked away in Pyrmont, with a quick shortcut through nearby carpark you can be on Darling Harbour in 3 minutes! 5-10min walk to Pyrmont bridge and beyond. Vibrant and modern lobby with glass elevators and a candy bar!! Complimentary drinks in our room too was a nice surprise. Cosy, clean and well presented room with nice amenities! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and check in/check out was swift. Would gladly stay again!

We arrived very early in the morning and they had a room ready for us to drop off our bags and go out exploring the city. The historic building and it's elements was beautiful and relaxing. After a long day my boyfriend found the bar stocked with good local whiskey and in fact, we ended up bringing some home with us! Perfect location to the harbor, cute cafe's and green spaces.

There is nothing I didn't like. Our stay was perfect.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Woolstore and we can’t fault it. It is quiet and comfortable, but the attention to detail in this carefully restored heritage building and the calm, boutique ambience makes it something very special. It’s possibly one of the best hotel experiences you will ever have.

A simpler breakfast menu would be good, but this is only a very minor issue.

Staff were friendly and super helpful. Little extras were a nice touch. Great location

The room is not clean. The furnitures were covered by the dust, the shower has mould on the wall, the pillow could be better and the Apple TV was not working.
