The style ( those vinyls which you can play at your room!), the attitude ( DJ at the bar) and breakfast! There is no breakfast buffe, you have to come and choose from excellent breakfast menu. Or, if you want - go explore other excellent breakfast places nearby. I loved that there is no waist, which is inevitable when there is breakfast buffe

Love the location, not too far from city but in the funky suburb of Surry Hills, where wine bars, pubs and delicious food / restaurants are almost on every corner!

The room was very small, but suitable for one person and one night.

The location of the hotel was very convenient. It was so easy to walk to all.we needed. The hotel was modern with lovely decor.

The shower, toilet and wardrobe areas were very dark! It was certainly lacking some lighting. The pillows were uncomfortable as they were too soft.

Conveniently located, Ace Hotel Sydney is an easy spot for those who prefer not to stay in Sydney CBD. Staff were accommodating to needs and made for an enjoyable stay.

Our room was a little bit dusty. The lobby is also a little bit rowdy especially in evenings - so don't recommend if you're looking for a quiet spot.

The toilet and shower area is dark no light i have a poor eyesight they don’t have light in the shower area and you don’t wear glasses while having a shower that is why I don’t understand the point of having as shower with no light. Second the bed was really used. You can feel the springs of the bed are already uneven and really bouncy. There is no microwave in the room 🙂

Fantastic location within walking distance to public transport and many local bars, cafes and restaurants. The room is as comfortable and the balcony a great size.

The aircon turned itself on repeatedly, despite me having switched off the power. Lighting in the bathroom, shower and toilet was so dim that it was difficult to put on makeup (I was attending a wedding)

Good location in Surry Hills and very close to the Museum train stop. Good restaurants, bakeries, and bars all within walking distance. The room was very comfortable and clean with very strong AC. We also liked the daily happy hour at the bar downstairs.

Not a huge fan of hotel rooms with bathrooms that are not in a separate room with a real door.

Super friendly staff, and the hotel itself was super cool, with a great sized room and amenities. It was also awesome to see they're doing something different with an awesome vibe and even small details like the record player in the room.

The pillows, this was the only thing. Otherwise was an awesome stay.

The room was very stylish and fitted out beautifully; some quirky additions which I really enjoyed; overall exceptional design provided all you needed in the small footprint.

Room fit the definition of small! If you were spending more time than just 'bed time' then you might feel a bit hemmed in.

Centrally located and a busy funky place. The rooms were roomy comfortable and very clean. The staff friendly and helpful. The lobby bar was obviously popular with locals and guests. Food was good.

The tall steps to get to the front desk. Difficult to lift bags etc.

Location was ideal for me. Restaurant and food were great and lobby bar was a nice place for coffee or a drink. Had breakfast once and that was good quality but used the coffee shop mostly

Gym was small so more than two people and it was very cramped. Also when I wanted to extend my stay I was told to phone the reservations line, I would have expected the staff to call for me - in the end I emailed and got no response so used booking.com again

The room was clean but the lights around the mirror are not bright for makeup. Also the way how the shower and toilet doors are build creates so much noise so at night the second person is waking up for sure if the first person uses show or toilet. Too much acoustic

Great value the night I stayed. Rooms are completely blackout. So many hotels have so much light from iPads, aircon units the lot. Well appointed and great design. And love the 12 noon as standard checkout

Lifts were very slow

I love the Ace Hotel Toronto. It's for this reason that I booked the Ace Sydney. The design language is consistent and the location - right in the trendy heart of Surry Hills - it great.

The rooms are smaller than other Ace locations - this is probably a Sydney thing - but still was a bit of a let-down as my standards were we by Toronto. The brunch as also average by Australian standards.

Sydney doesn't have that many good boutique hotels. Ace is one of the exceptions: great location, solid F&B and good-looking, comfortable rooms.

We loved the atmosphere of the Ace hotel. The rooms were very nice and comfortable.

Little things like having no hand soap on the vanity, the shampoo wasn’t actually shampoo, and not enough space to hang towels after use. The mini fridge was too full to put any of your own things in it.

This hotel is so extra and full of character, we fell in love instantly. We brought our pet along, and the staff were so kind and accommodating. Even with some restrictions in the common areas of the hotel, they made sure we were always comfortable and taken care of. Beautiful room, great food, and such lovely people. We’ll be back for sure!

Fantastic location and exceptional staff. Very comfortable beds, and very nice room. Had everything we needed.

Our room tiled floor was dirty and needed a vacuum and mop and two of the glasses in the room were dirty and had not been cleaned. There was food and sticky stuff on the outside of them and liquid residue on their inside surfaces.

The hotel offers a relaxed city cool vibe, the suite was spacious and the L shaped sofa was great to relax and enjoy the view of the city. The beds were comfortable and helped us sleep soundly through the night. Drinks and dinner had just enough charm to them to make staying in feel special.

The room was serviced late, there was hand lotion where hand wash should have been. I called 3 times for room service and could not get what I wanted or any communication around options. I also was hung up on when I called at one point.

Love the colour scheme of the entire property, calming and welcoming at the same time, no overdue but just enough!

Lack of amenities in the room, you need to ask for small stuff(soap, tooth brush etc.) and cafe food is average.

Distance to Central station. The decor and overall design was great.

Great location, just a short walk to Surry Hills where you’ll find plenty of lovely cafés and restaurants. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we were lucky to stay on the 17th floor with a beautiful view. On our last day, the hotel surprised us with champagne to celebrate our stay at Ace—such a thoughtful gesture that made our first trip to Sydney even more memorable. Highly recommended for couples looking for a hotel with a lively and vibrant atmosphere. ✨

Room a bit small

Good location, great staff, great public spaces

We had a medium-sized room, which was just big enough for the two of us and large bags after we moved the guitar in the room! It has a somewhat strange setup with the basin area within the main room. The shower and toilet are separate, so there is no big problem.

I thought the room was too dark at times as there was no main light. The shower was good, but nowhere to hang towels. Stupid!
