Very chic and cool NYC vibes as soon as you walk in the door. Staff were exceptionally friendly and professional and couldn’t do enough for you. Rooms were spacious and the whole space had such a fabulous vibe. Awesome mini bar and room service. Location was excellent. I will definitely be back as I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant or roof top bar.

Can’t find a thing!

The staff welcomed us late at night, we were surprised the party going on next door in the bar! Once up in the room there was total silence which we needed after coming from Europe, it was so quiet and dark we slept until friends arrived and the hotel had to ring and wake us up to receive them. The bed was very comfortable obviously ! The location was perfect for what we needed. I loved the atmosphere both in the bar and on the 18th floor. The room comes well equipped too.

Ace reminds me very much of Ovolo Nishi in Canberra. Classy, quirky, artsy and professional. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. I LOVED how well soundproofed the rooms were!!!

My stay was very smooth. The only bum note was the coffee situation. They need a pod machine. It’s 2025, granulated packet coffee is not chic. And sadly, even the espresso I ordered at the lobby was so bad I couldn’t drink it 😭

The staff are super nice and helpful. I enjoyed the food at both the downstairs and rooftop restaurants. I had 3 or 4 meals at the hotel and every one of them was tasty and well-prepared.

There are a few steps leading up to the hotel reception, so hauling your luggage can be a bit tiring — but thankfully, the staff are all super friendly and happy to help.

Everything - the community vibes was amazing, staff were beautiful and happy, food was delish, drinks were awesome - I felt like I wanted all my friends to stay in the hotel with me because it was a vibe- they loved visiting too!

The only thing was the metal clinking sounds every now and then that was coming from the vents but mentioned to staff and may have just been something off with the aircon. Otherwise maybe some harder pillows please - but I didn’t ask so that’s on me!

Lights too dim in bedroom. Hard to read and do work. For those into mood lighting that’s fine, but how about install a dimmer so the rest of us have a choice.

We had a room on 2nd floor , directly above the back door exit. So a bit of noisy. When we stay again, I’d ask for a higher floor.

Extremely comfortable bed and pillows. Colours and decor very warm and appealing.

Lighting in room could have been brighter, especially with such a dark and moody colour scheme.

I have wanted to stay at the Ace Hotel since it opened - Finally got to tick it off my list! Great location, amazing style, incredible mini bar - I loved my stay and will be back!

The pillows were really flat, if you are someone like me who prefers more firm pillows I would recommend bringing your own

Room was cosy and beautiful. Bed was comfortable, despite CBD location very minimal city noise. Check-in and out were very easy. Restaurant service was quick, and food was good

This is always my favourite place to stay in Sydney. The staff at the front desk and in Kiln Restaurant are exceptional. It’s so close to everything.

There’s no parking on site, and the car parks close by are quite expensive. The staff in the downstairs cafe are a bit off handed and arrogant, very much out of keeping with the rest of the hotel staff.

Helpful staff let us check in really early after a long flight

My room was comfortable and warm with a great bed. The staff were polite and accommodating. Loved the toiletries and that there was a steamer in the room. Really good for the price.

Found it tricky to use the chromscast without logging out and logging in to the WiFi a few times, and the music downstairs could be improved.

Bed could have been a little higher, Staff in restaurant should be more alert regarding customers orders.

Ten minute walk from Central. 20 minute walk to main street of Surry Hills for dinner. Room was large and comfy, and bath salts given for the bath. two free drinks for the rooftop bar

the taps turn the opposite way which takes a bit of getting used to. Not much of a view from Level 8.

Huge fan of Ace Hotels and this hotel was perfect. Location was great. Walkable to many cafes and restaurants. We were able to check in early which is always appreciated. Staff were super friendly and helpful with tons of great recommendations!

They whole place is great! The rooftop bar/ restaurant upstairs is beautiful as well as the lobby bar, on top of that the staff within the whole hotel were amazing! So kind and welcoming. The room was perfect, on the smaller side but not tiny, super cute looking as well as comfortable! Honestly nothing to fault ☺️

Parking is a bit far and expensive

One of the best hotels I ever visited. The interior design, style and overall attention to detail both in the room and in the building was fantastic and the hotel was such a pleasure to stay at, superb cleanliness, really amazing style and room, great bar downstairs, I had truly wonderful time, would absolutely come back and would recommend. Especially for this price, fantastic.

The facilities are all excellent. Very well equipped gym, fabulous restaurant/bar/communal areas . Rooms well appointed. The general vibe of the hotel is very cool and a place that you are happy to linger. Highly recommend.Location is perfect - placed close to the CBD and to Surry Hills.

I think the Ace Hotel have nailed it so I can't really find anything to dislike.

Beautiful, aesthetic rooms. The staff were all lovely and so helpful. Cafe in the lobby was really yummy. Record players in the double double room were a nice touch.

The photo booth was broken which was something we were looking forward to using.

funky little hotel in great location

I loved the Lobby bar and Loam cafe and the all round friendly vibe. The hotel has warm and welcoming feel: beautiful, characterful decor and such cool and charming staff.

The room was a bit squishy for 3 us but would be very comfortable for 1 or 2
