Ace Hotel, Sydney

Funky little hotel - room was very small but as I was working it wasn't an issue. I was only there to sleep. Staff were great - i initially booked the wrong date and they waived all non-cancellation fees so I could rebook the correct date. It was during the Taylor Swift madness and the price wasn't exorbitant considering the scarcity of rooms that night.

Room was definitely "cosy"

Great location not far from Central Station. Very nice decor and lovely bar downstairs to enjoy late at night after exploring the city. Restaurants of all sorts near by and public transport very close with trains and trams both handy. Loved the styling in the room and foyer and the staff were very very friendly.

The location. The staff. Was given a room upgrade so the room was amazing. Massive bed. Was just a really good stay!

There was nothing about the property that i didnt like.

Great staff, location, hip looking. Super different vibe and it was amazing. The bar was super fun too and they gave us a free drink each.

Bed could have been bigger

Great rooms. Even the medium room felt very luxurious and big. The bar was great as were the restaurants/cafe. The room was immaculate and always cleaned to perfection. Staff were lovely. Honestly everything was exceptional.

The only thing missing was a swimming pool but that’s not even a flaw really. Maybe a bit better lighting in the bathroom and potentially consider a on-the-house minibar in a boutique hotel of such calibre.

Loved the Decor and design. My room was quiet and the bar and restaurant area were beautifully designed so you felt comfortable to hang out there. Staff were helpful.

The decor was lovely, food was delicious and convenient location.

Rooms are a little small and in room dining is quite limited.

Love the feel of the hotel, the hospitality and the general vibe. Just a really nice, relaxed place to spend time.

The rooms are smaller, but have everything you need, and use the space really well.

Nicely decorated, good service, and we got a free upgrade to a medium sized room.

We loved the location and the room was lovely. Comfy bed, bit noisy as we were on floor 17 under the roof top bar so we could hear people moving chairs etc. Great bar, cafe and restaurant area but we didn't really have time to spend in there. Wish we had more time.

Being under the rooftop bar as we could hear people moving their chairs around. We ordered room service breakfast one morning and they didn't have the decaf coffee we ordered so brought normal so it got wasted but the breakfast was lovely.

Cleaning average

Located in a great location, able to walk to museums, shopping and restaurants. Room was large and everything was very clean and aesthetically chosen. Both the lobby restaurant & the rooftop were great too! Everything throughout the hotel is very considered, art in all areas and the hotel didn't seem overly "busy" - so lifts up and down were quick too!

The record player didn't have any instructions and wasn't working at all. Staff had to come back 3 times to sort it out and switch it over. Would be great if there were some basic instructions alongside it. The shower doesn't have anywhere to hang your towel, so we had to leave clothes/towels on the edge of the bathroom sink and reach out to grab them (probably not an issue if travelling with your partner, but we were friends sharing the room).

Cool vibe and friendly staff

The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The hotel decor was really cool. The room we had was exactly as we expected, we had two double beds: I slept in one with our little guy and my husband slept in one with our pre-schooler. The restaurant was also so nice and again, lovely helpful staff! Perfect location too, near Museum station and felt safe around at night.

I asked for a copy of the invoice at checkout and was told it would be emailed to me. 2 days later still not sent!

Loved everything about hotel - accommodation, food, service, location were all superb. Very cool, laid back vibe. Staff were extremely helpful & fun. Wished we could have stayed longer.
