Villa Dagmar, Stockholm

Nice location and great courtyard.

Our room was very small.

Villa Dagmar is a lovely treat of a hotel, in a great location. The indoor terrace is just a gorgeous place to escape the streets, and the breakfast room is stunning. Breakfast and the service at breakfast was exemplary. Our rooms were very comfortable, unfortunately, I inadvertently gave our children the bathroom with the stand-alone shower, and ours was over a bath (which I don't love). We didn't use the spa. We loved our stay there, and would return happily.

Nothing really, rooms are well sized for inner city Europe, but not huge- if that is your thing.

It was fairly empty so several restaurant services and room service functions were closed; which was an inconvenience. Selection of ‘bistrot’ food was limited.

Villa Dagmar is well located in the centre of Stockholm. It is comfortable with excellent helpful staff. The food in the restaurant is tasty and inventive.

If you want a quiet stay ask for a room which doesn’t overlook the garden bar. There is piped music from 7am to 1130pm.

Decent breakfast spread. Hot options were delicious and buffet was comprehensive. Delicious baked goods (& granola), lactose-free yoghurts, melon, cheese and cold meats and some berries. Service a bit stretched even though we were not at rush hour. Rooms compact but worked perfectly.

Gym a bit miserable. Struggled to get response from reception/concierge/house keeping on the phone. Worked in person but our room was a long way from reception. Maybe leave teabags in rooms, not ‘on request’.

Beautiful decor, particularly downstairs.

Our room was rather small with very limited hanging space.

The hotel location was excellent. Most parts of central Stockholm were within walking distance. The Breakfast was excellent, both the parts ordered from the menu and from the buffet. The coffee was especially good.

The room was a lot smaller than the pictures suggested. The light switches in the room never made any sense, even after 3 days of trying to figure them out. You never knew what switches controlled what light in the bedroom, which were 3-wayed with a switch by the entrance.

Beautiful boutique hotel right in the center of town, next to great restaurants and shops. Gorgeous quiet, comfy rooms and beautiful breakfast buffet. The staff were lovely, especially the servers at breakfast. Amazing location. Highly recommend.
