Hostel STF af Chapman & Skeppsholmen, Stockholm

One of the best property with excellent location at an affordable price.

Location, view from the window and place it self was excellent. Would stay there 100% again if visiting Stockholm again. Location is approx 1km from city center, but very quiet and feels almost remote if when you walk around the island. Also there is a place to leave your luggage before check-in and after check-out, which is very convenient.

The things we liked the most were the staff, the cleanliness and the location.

Excellent location (quiet, near middle of city and main attractions, peaceful area, lovely views over water and towards Royal Palace. Building in good condition. Breakfast very good range and amounts. Bedroom had everything expected and necessary. Toilets and shower rooms always clean and near to room. Staff very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Would definitely use again on next trip to Stockholm.

Very minor point. Size of breakfast bowls were annoyingly small.

Best location! Walking distance from the station (20mins), bus 65 stopping nearby (15min from Central Station) even though it's a lovely location surrounded by nature and by the sea. There's a cosy café at the ground floor. Didn't use the showers/kitchen but they seemed clean and functional.

Friendly staff, simple but a great breakfast buffet, mesmerising lake view and a perfect location for travellers who would like to explore Stockholm. The facility should also be credited for their actions to create awareness towards sustainability at the facility!

Everything was great

The location is perfect. It's close to many of attractions in the city. Everything is at walking distance. Rooms were clean and well maintained. I got a new set of bedding when check in and the staff was friendly and warmly welcomed me. The bed was comfortable for a fine a sleep. Washrooms were clean and had hot water. This place is worth for the money and i would recommend.

Only downside is there are only limited number of showers and toiltes per floor. When it's fully booked i do not think that would be sufficient. Luckily, i didn't face any trouble as I travelled off-seaaon.

Clean cozy perfect place to stay. Staff especially Paul is kind and helpful. Pictures shown in the ad represent the reality. Location is marvelous, a nice 15 minute walk to the old city, and you can see the old city Gamla Stan through the window from your room. In addition in front of the hotel the "af Chapman" glorious ship was anchored, which is like a fairy tale. I would definitely stay here if I went Stockholm again.

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed. Excellent wi-fi, bathrooms & toilets were very clean. You have everything you need in the kitchen. Walking distance to the main attractions.

beautiful & cozy location, close to the centre so well connected with public transportation (8min walk to nearest station though) nice to be able to book a room privately as a group friendly & helpful staff the sink in the room is great! we recommend taking the Pendelbåt to Gamla Stan!

Everything was great! I would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for something great but affordable. I stayed in room 201 and the view was magnificent. The breakfast was great as well

I loved the location of the hotel in front of the sea, with a beautiful boat. This Island is amazing to walk around and take nice pictures. I loved the view from my bedroom and the public area are very clean and cosy.

It was my first stay at the hotel and after this experience I’m going to stay there more often! I loved how clean and safe this place was. People who worked at the reception were all so nice and helpful! They spoke english so well!

Breakfast was very decent, Staff were very helpful and nice, In -7 weather the whole place was very very warm, not overcrowded at all and everyone was very clean and respectful. Overall an unreal stay x

Location superb - view of the Royal Palace on our own private Island. Ferry service to Skansen excellent. Lovely breakfast (again, with a view!) Guest kitchen very handy.

Nothing! Excellent option for a downtown stay without the price tag - but a wonderful experience in the old naval academy. Cafe as well as breakfast buffet - just great!

there were few bathrooms/toilets near our room and they were constantly being used and you had to wait. One drunk guy in our hallway threw up in the shower because bathrooms were occupied. but they were clean overall, just that unfortunate incident.

The location was perfect.

The beds only have usb A to plug in, if you dont have this type of usb there are plugs in the wall but they are far from the beds and you have to get up from the bed to reach for it.

An absolute gem. Absolutely fantastic staff that have true heart for service. So down to earth, fun, helpful, kind and genuenly proffessional. The place is clean, tidy and orgonized. The rooms are great, I stayed in a 16-bedroom and it was perfect, no climbing needed and it was spacious and comfortable. There is a common kitchen and loads of bathrooms on all floors. There is also a bagageroom. Hostel with the best view in town.

That my holiday was so short, would have loved to stay few more nights there.

Lovely stay in this hostel for a weekend with two friends. Great location, amenities, service and breakfast! Well connected to the rest of the city!

Where to start... the view from my side of the hostel was exquisite, the room was spacious and well-equipped, all the shared facilities are plentiful and pleasant to use, the place is extremely well-organized and the staff friendly and professional. The very good onsite cafe is a huge bonus (a better option than the buffet breakfast, in my opinion).

This is only an issue to hypersensitive people, and obviously not the hostel's fault, but on the two weekend nights the bass and low drumbeats of the music from the pubs across the water made it difficult for me to sleep despite earplugs.

Perfect location with a wonderful view

Breathtaking views and perfect location, close to the main touristy sites in the city, walkable distance to the old town, national museum. Delicious buffet breakfast!

Extra small toilet and bathroom, but the good location out weighs these little details.

The breakfast had everything I could ask for. The location was great. We walked in to town for shopping and took the Taxi for a show as it was pouring with rain (otherwise we would have taken the boat). Very comfy beds with fresh bed linen.

The shower was very small and no where to put your clothes. The cleaning and bed linen felt fresh but we did find rubbish in our room.

Amazing location direct at the water, great equipped common kitchen

I loved the location! The place is on an island near the old town. I enjoyed walking from there, crossing the bridges and walking around the wonderful streets of the old town. The breakfast was very good for the price. It was overall a very clean place. I would love to visit again in summertime.

Although the location is close to the old town, it is a bit far away (about 25 mins on foot) from the central station. However, there are buses from the island and a metro station within 10 minutes on foot. I stayed at the 16-bed dormitory with a low ceiling (as it's right beneath the roof of the building), so I had to be careful while walking.

Super good location. We stayed in Stockholm for one night to listen to Tosca in the Royal Opera. It was a perfect stay with a 15 min walk to the opera house. Located exactly in the city center, very nice historical building. The next morning after the opera we visited Toys museum with the kids, which is literally 3 min walk from the hotel.
