The location is excellent, very close to the train station and within walking distance to main attractions. The guest kitchen is spacious and well-equipped. The hostel staff actually keeps it very clean, though some guests don't maintain it well. Also, the room size was acceptable for a hostel.

Need improvement on Late Check-in coordination: I informed the hostel in advance about my late train arrival, and they acknowledged it. However, they forgot to send me the entry code for the main outside door. My friend and I had to stand outside in the freezing cold weather for quite a while, unable to reach anyone. Luckily, a kind guest opened the door and helped us. Although the keys were prepared inside, we couldn't reach them without the outside door code. I highly suggest the hostel be more careful and attentive with late check-in details for the safety of future guests, especially female travelers. Room & Facilities: The bunk beds were very unstable and shook every time someone moved, making it hard to sleep out of consideration for my friend. There were also too few showers for the number of guests. Lastly, the common area was right in front of our room, and other guests were incredibly noisy late at night, making it difficult to sleep.

It seemed clean and quiet. They have free luggage storage for the day you arrive or for the day you leave. And also you can help yourself with a free coffee until 2pm in their buffet 🫶🏻 The whole vibe is chill and aesthetic plus the location is so good! People at the reception were very nice.

The configuration of the whole place was odd and confusing but it was okay for a couple of days. One thing that actually bothered me was room service that came into my room while I was there, changing my clothes and wanting to take a shower. The guy just came to the room totally unbothered without any "sorry" or considering cleaning another room while I finish. He took some of my stuff and throw them without my permission..

Great location and staff. The building is beautiful and has a dynamic that creates a community of travelers. Very clean and comfortable. Great price.

location was good, along one of the main streets, 15/20 minutes waking straigth from the bus/train main station. opposite direction from gamla stan) nice and clean common areas, it has its own style, retro ang original decoration. great kitchen, very lively and crowded in a good way, free pasta to cook yourself. Very nice sauna space. it is all one floor undergroung, but the room has little windows (at least mine)

Good location staff and great place to meet new people

We had a late check in and early check out. Everything was handled online before and after. We felt very safe with the key pads on the door. WC was very clean.

The price was cheaper than a hotel room, but a little higher than I would have liked for a hostel private room.

I stayed in the 6-bed female dorm, which was clean and spacious. They provide lockers, though keep in mind they aren't quite large enough for full-sized luggage, perfect for smaller valuables though. While the shower was a bit on the small side, it was functional and served its purpose well

Facilities are good, has everything you need, eg good kitchen, showers, bar etc staff very friendly and helpful making everything easy

Nothing really, one or two minor maintenance issues to be expected in a busy hostel, eg loose tiles in shower, a few wonky taps..

Very social and friendly people who enjoyed socializing.

The facility offers excellent value for money; I would choose the same place again if I went back. Above all, it's very clean and reliable.

When we arrived, the code for the room did not work so we called but the girl could not really help us. She called her manager but he did not answer. In the end I tried myself to find the missing number of the code by trying all combinations and I was succesful. Also, she did not know that the door had a trick to be opened, first push, then hale. It was late and we were tired so this was not the best experience

We travel with toddler, and it was an amazing experience! Biggest recommendation!

Kitchen was reasonably well furnished, though can be very busy in the evenings.

The pillow was kind of pathetic. You might get roommates who decide to be drunk and loud at 3:30 in the morning in the room.

The location was perfect; close to the Terminal train and bus stations, and very close to the centre of the city and Gamla Stan. The kitchen is fully equipped. All in all, for the price you pay, it's pretty adequate.

Firstly, i didn't like that you have to pay extra for bed sheets. It is not overtly expensive but it's the principle. Also, the cleanliness and the state of the rooms left a bit to be desired. Finally, my room happened to be the furthest away from the showers and it was annoying. I would appreciate if they had more showers spread out over the building.

This place feels like home. Super clean, in the middle of everything. Very close to central sitation and the main street, has own lovely bar, big enough kitchen with every tools you need and social area.

Well As the hotel's name clearly suggests if you're only traveling with a backpack, the rooms have small lockers with power outlets. However there're only a few lockers downstairs for storing luggage which isn't enough. I hadn't been informed about that either I found it myself. I had placed my suitcase under the bed and someone from my room stole my name tag on the on it which I had carefully bought in NY as a very memory. I know who it was but by the time I realized they were gone. I've never had anything like this happen to me anywhere. It's very surprising.

The energy of the staff was amazing. The sauna is really good advantage you can meet and talk to new persons there. amd there was even free pasta which you can make your own food with.

Your sleep depends on you roommate's, Friday & Saturday if you are planing an easy calm weekend, then City backpackers might be the wrong spot. Might as well just roll back the years and enjoy the moment.

everything was super clean, the facilities were great, and there were plenty of sinks and bathrooms so you never had to wait for ages to get ready. the fact there is a sauna was an amazing bonus. beds super comfy with super fresh new white sheets - felt like I should've been paying way more. Location is great - most places in the city walkable within 30mins, and a five minute walk away from central station so really easy to use public transport

Very clean. Lots of bathrooms and showers.

It felt very homey. I loved that everyone has to take their shoes off at the front, that the hard wood floors were creaky, and that it was old school themed in the common area.

Everything was great. Absolutely perfect for the price. Good location. Comfortable bed, clean room (woman) and common spaces. The kitchen is big enough for everyone, and you also have the chance to wash clothes if you would like to. In the “living room” you can find card and board games. For me this place was 10/10.

The cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in probably, super cosy and warm despite the cold Swedish February outside! The kitchen and chill out areas were great and spacious, the sauna was hot and super clean, the staff were helpful, the hostel felt very safe with the secure key codes for the rooms and external door, and the perfect location too

It would be great if towels were included and not an extra charge

The hostel has successfully turned around every disadvantage it has. So well done! 1. Confusing building structure → Draw the map and label every corner and space. Equip electric locks at every exit to ensure safety. 2. Cold basement → Provide wool blankets and cushions. And don’t forget the sauna is a necessity. 3. Depressing winter days → Add colorful designs and lend skate shoes for free. Other lovely advantages: provide free pasta, kind and dynamic staffs speak perfect English and multi-languages, free luggage storage within 24 hours.

Highly recommended! Excellent location. Great kitchen: Large space with a huge fridge and complete kitchenware. Work-friendly: The desks in the public area are perfect for laptop use. Comfortable shower: Hot water was consistent and relaxing. Convenient: Big shared sinks that are great for hand-washing clothes. I would definitely stay here again when I return to Stockholm!
