The standard room was very spacious with a king bed, large desk, seating, and a large bathroom. My room faced an interior courtyard and was very quiet.

Outstanding hotel, outstanding staff, outstanding experience.
Simply the best location, super historic grand building and facilities. Some of the staff are stand-out incredible, especially the younger members of the team who have attained interpersonal skills far beyond their years. You’ll read my negative points and think perhaps I was disappointed - I wasn’t - the positive experiences of the staff generally and place massively outweigh my niggles. I will 100% go back.
I couldn’t try the Michelin star restaurant as my partner is a vegetarian and there is no support for those diners. The spa is not included in the stay which at this level is cheeky - £70 or so to use it but on a £3k bill for three nights I would have preferred it to just be included even if they charged me in the price. Same for breakfast - £80 for two people (but I note that the lack of breakfast seems to be a booking.com thing - I think the hotel themselves offer packages that include breakfast. I have to also add that when I expressed surprise about the breakfast the lady actually did that free for us on the spot that morning which was a kind gesture) - the front restaurant - the Veranda(?) - we tried twice to eat there at 8pm but were turned away as it was too busy. In a five star hotel you don’t really expect to be turned away from dinner as a resident. Finally, the staff in the Soleil bar were not attentive - they were not busy but it seemed impossible to get their attention - we sat for 30 mins without a drink, finally managed to get one but felt uncomfortable that it was just so hard to get service. This was absolutely not the case in every other part of the building, where service levels were outstanding.

A wonderful hotel
We absolutely loved this hotel and would highly recommend it! It was fabulous.
The breakfast was super with a lovely view.
The best thing however was the buggy service which took us to our destination. The staff were so kind and extremely helpful.

From the negative side only one thing - u must pay extra to go to SPA, which is completely weird to me, as the price of the hotel already isn’t cheap.
I would rather go to my hotel gym when i m back home… i have an amazing SPA over there… so that’s weird!

One of my favourite hotels in the world
I have been to more than 90 countries and this hotel is one of my favourites. I have stayed here several times and this place never disappoints. From the beautiful historical building and decor, to the gorgeous spa and awesome concierges.. I can highly recommend this hotel

Amazing - really first rate
Everything - it’s worth the money. One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Very comfortable and cosy rooms, which are quiet and have everything you need. Staff are excellent and friendly. Food is first class - bar and restaurants are great, even room service is amazing, but you do get what you pay for! The spa is lovely too.

Elegant Ambiance with Some Drawbacks
Grand Hôtel Stockholm is an architectural masterpiece, offering a prime location in the heart of the city with stunning waterfront views. The historic charm of the building, combined with modern touches, makes for a visually impressive stay. The hotel's spa is a true highlight, providing a luxurious retreat, and the dining experiences at Matbaren and the Seafood Gastro were exceptional, with high-quality ingredients and impeccable flavors. Its central location also made it easy to explore Stockholm’s main attractions, adding to the overall convenience.
The spa, while excellent, was located far from my room, requiring me to navigate through a crowded conference area, which diminished the sense of exclusivity. The service felt stiff and snooty at times, lacking warmth and personal attention. The elevators were slow and outdated, and despite the hotel's grandeur, the rooms felt small and quite basic for a property of this caliber. Additionally, the extra entry fee for spa access was extremely high, making it feel less like an included luxury and more like an upsell. Lastly, while the hotel claims to be cash-free, they still accepted cash in certain areas, leading to inconsistencies.
