Amazing quirky hotel in a converted prison!

Rooms were relatively small obviously being an old cell and were lacking in things like no kettle, tea etc. we paid a premium because it was a last minute cancellation on our AirBnB and it was the Taylor swift concert in town. Based on normal rates I would say this was okay and not bad value though. Based on what we paid, which we think was the last room available, it was very expensive.

Everything was good

Character, comfort, unique location on the island so peaceful, idyllic surrounds. Excellent parking, 5 mins walk to the excellent Stockholm Metro, lots of options for activities on the island, nice bar and restaurant.

Nothing! In fact even the unexpected restaurant closure due to a public holiday meant we ate elsewhere, a highlight of our long holiday - would highly recommend Rianns Krog (10 mins walk) if you're staying a few nights.

Original, give me a good story to tell. Reasonable price and location.

Expected due ti the context, but the room is narrow and a bit oppressive.

Everything went well for our visit. Reception staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast excellent.

The property itself, the cell/ bedroom, the variety of food and drinks for breakfast, the helpful staff, the hotel’s quiet surroundings, its intriguing history , the little beach, the nearby restaurants, easy access to transport, everything- We loved it!

Brilliant setting - a lovely, green island with lots of paths to run or walk around. Room (or cell!) clean, tidy and the layout clearly well thought through to make the most of the space. Good choice of food at breakfast too. An easy walk to the metro/buses to get into central Stockholm, or a pleasant walk by the water instead when less pressed for time. Would happily stay again.

The location is gorgeous. Like a tropical island. Gorgeous building and surrounding area. Would suit a longer break and plenty of water activities.

Bedding too soft but that's subjective. Kind of far away from the city centre, off on its own. It used to be a prison so that tracks

Perfect location. Just a few minutes walk to bus or subway which connects to everything you’ll want to see yet wonderful quiet place. The “prison” vibe makes for a fun change from other hotels. We opted for a “large” room and were quite happy about it.

Incredible atmosphere and the history. It’s hopefully the only time you get to spend sleeping in a gaol cell.

Coz beds, tiny room but spacious enough for us three.

The personal in the restaurant (was horribly unfriendly). The kitchen personal was very kind and stood there. We asked them if the kitchen is still open (21:45). The said: yes, come in. We do something for you. And then the nightmare began: a very unfriendly old lady said: kitchen is closed (the tone…). We said, that the people 5 meter away said that it’s open but if not, we could leave. With in unbelievable unfriendly manner she gave us the menu and after 30 minutes she left, not before I told her how unfriendly of a person she is. Disgusting behavior for a nice hotel in total.

It’s a prison and feels like it so got an experience it.

The price BUT we went during the Taylor Swift concert so the Taylor Tax was in full effect.

Bar prices out of jail expensive

Everything was great. The location was beautiful and close to all main points. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was delicious. The installations were just great. Very pleased.

Nothing at all to point out. As said previously, everything was great. We were really happy about our stay.

The nature around, the interesting history of the place, great breakfast! The Museum and the exhibitions were great, too.

The room was small but it didn't matter...

I liked most of all that it is in a historic building, a prison, that my room used to be a cell. It was a small room, but big enough for me and much more comfortable for me than the previous occupants. The whole hotel was lovely, with a museum in one wing. The breakfast was excellent and the surrounds on the island made a lovely walk.
