Stunning location just in front of the Greek temples, very comfortable and fully equipped room, delicious breakfast and very refined gourmet restaurant. Very pleasant and well kept gardens with a beautiful pool.

Wonderful location in the Valley of the Temples. Very nice staff, and both breakfast and dinner were exceptional. Highly reccommend. Also private entrance to the park.

Absolute gem in the middle of the valley of temples. All the luxuries of a 5 stay hotel in a boutique setting. Private entrance to see the temples from the hotel. Beautiful to see the temples lit up at night from the hotel. The food in the restaurant was spectacular. We loved this hotel and highly recommend it.

If you come to see the temples, there is no better place to stay than this hotel. It was so lovely to be able to walk out of the hotel and be at the temples within 5 minutes; and to look out of the window and see the Temple of Concordia right there on a hill above you. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else when I return to Agrigento.

Visited in December so Villa was relatively quite (which was perfect)! View is beautiful from room and patio. Gardens are lovely! Breakfast was excellent and staff very accommodating, patient and kind. Enjoyed one dinner at the restaurant, which was excellent. Most highly recommend our tour guide, Liz Garcia Millan - www.lizgarciamillan.it who taught us so much and made our experience informative and gave us special memories for a lifetime; as well as giving us a wonderful recommendation for a restaurant in Agrigento.

We liked everything but especially the location. It felt like a dream. The restaurant was fabulous and far exceeded our expectations. It was great value for the money. We also appreciated the private entrance to the archeological park.

Absolutely nothing! We stayed at beautiful hotels in Palermo, Siracusa and Taormina but Villa Athena was our favourite. The unique location cannot be beat!

So annoying to force us to hace someone lead us to the bedroom, lead us to the gate. It is not 1950 anymore

Location, quality of the facilities

Fantastic night view of the lighted temples. Excellent breakfast selection included. Easy walk through the private entrance to Valley of the Temples.

I thought dinner was a bit too expensive for the quality.

Manuella was the best host ever and the test of the team looked after us well too. Food was excellent. Location and view is unbeatable. Highly recommended.

Not much to say really. Some of the service was not the greatest. Overall though, it was a fine stay we we would recommend to others.

Very classy hotel, a walk away from the Agrigento Valley of the Temples. Front desk staff gave us a gate access card to access the archeological site on foot, very convenient: we felt very special. We took several hours to visit the temples, it was quite eye opening to see so many temples all in the same location. It is very interesting from a cultural standpoint. The hotel was very cozy and the beds were very comfortable: best beds in Sicily! I booked a "wellness" massage which was one of the best I had in many years. The staff was really helpful in helping us buy tickets for the Valley of Temples and finding local restaurants to go to. We also enjoyed the pool, although in early December, it was like an ice bath, temperature was around 10C. It is really rejuvenating, try it.

The hotel is splendid in every regard, but the direct view of the principal temple is magnificent.

The hotel is very well designed with many comfortable seating areas and stunning views of the temples . We had a memorable romantic and delicious dinner while temple gazing and enjoying the pianist .

This is a very classy place. What a gem. It is really a full service resort with a la fresco dining overlooking the Greek monuments, gym, swimming pool, gardens, etc. The predominantly male staff wore suits in the evening and then less formal attire during the day. They are outstanding! I chose a fish selection from a refrigerated case with many species, they prepared it any way I wanted it. If you have allergies or dietary requirements, they are well equipped to accommodate. I highly recommend this resort and it is hard to believe our rate was less than $200 US per night…..I would pay much more knowing what I know now.

Stunning just absolutely stunning. View and access to the Valley of the temples. Food, cocktails and wines wonderful. A little expensive but totally worth the experiences on offer.

There is no denying that this is a beautiful location right in the stunning archaeological park at Agrigento. Our room had its own terrace with tables and chairs, both upright and loungers. The room was large, bed comfortable and the bathroom well provided with Ortigia product. Everything you would expect from a top quality hotel. There is a bar from which you can watch the sunset and the illuminated temple on the hill - but the view is very much spoilt by the huge umbrellas over the seating area in between which were left up all the time. Drinks were surprisingly not the most expensive we had in Sicily and came with a complimentary plate of antipasti as big as a starter course. There is also a terrace restaurant with a view over the park which is strangely uninviting - it felt like a huge missed opportunity to have a prettily decorated area; if you took away the view the restaurant looked really drab and ‘generic’. It put us off to the extent that we opted not to eat there and went into town instead (where we found a really pleasant garden restaurant). The staff were courteous. There is plenty of parking on site and very good concierge assistance. We didn’t use the swimming pool but it looked lovely. This hotel is expensive, but you get what you pay for.

The resteraunt was extremely over priced. The menu was unclear. We thought the fish was 18E but that was only the price per ounce so it was 120E which was completely ridiculous. We felt totally ripped off by the price of the dinner. But it’s a lovely place

Restaurant over priced

Food was excellent. Huge choice for breakfast, no additional cost for cooked eggs to order.the best egg Benedict ever, lovely coffee, home made yoghurt. Extensive wine list,good price range. Wonderful sushi. View to valley of temples from restaurant,illuminated at night…magical.
