Our room was at the side next to the restaurant so was a little noisy during the day so not conducive for relaxing outside and over-looked by passersby

Stunning view of the Temples of Concordia and Juno from room balcony and dinner terrace. Rooms and amenities were luxurious with the price to match but well worth the splurge. Equally priceless was the view of the temples lit up at night accompanied by fabulous service and dinner at the restaurant. We also enjoyed a very good and varied "made to order" breakfast menu (included with our room rate).

They serve breakfast in a building with no view, with no option to be seated on the terrace. (Same with dinner, but we were forewarned and went to the historic center instead)

I would travel around the world to get back to Hotel Athena. We loved the restaurant and pool, the magazines and views. We needed a little down time and this was delightful. Thank you for a truly relaxing and regenerative stay.

The location is absolutely out of this world. Most of the staff are exceptional and very professional.

One of the receptionists that showed us to our room was not very friendly. She didn’t tell us anything about the facilities and came across a bit displeased with us, but I understand she may have had difficulty speaking English. However the man behind reception was very professional and very welcoming on our arrival into the hotel.

Awesome location with direct access to the Valley of the Temples. Lovely room, gardens, pool and gym. Staff tried hard but not really premium quality. Food, dinner and breakfast , were ridiculously priced as were the drinks. Would recommend a one night stay to visit the Temples then move on!

Service in the restaurant and at reception was poor, main meal, pork, served cold, waitress said a 15 minute wait for heating or replacement, not happy and no apologies for an expensive experience thoroughly ruined.

Just outside the archeological park, the hotel has the feeling of a 5 star, with a quality restaurant

The view of the temples from our room's window and patio was fabulous as was the patio. Definitely recommend a room with both (view and patio). Bathroom and shower were also fabulous as was the property's foyer, dining area and lounge.

We wanted a room with 2 beds - we were two female friends traveling together. What we got was one queen sized bed and a very narrow cot-bed which made the room feel small since it was obviously an add-on and which was not terribly comfortable. Two normal sized twin bed would have been much better - the room was too small for two double beds. We were also unhappy that the breakfast that went with our room was just carbs and sweets, no protein, or fruit. The staff were wonderful though and the setting beautiful. Having a smaller snack or lunch menu would have also made the stay easier.

It’s truly a five star hotel, everything is live up to its standard, and the location can’t be better.

The location cannot be beat. The view of the temple makes it a very special place to stay.

It was a bit pricey but the view makes it worth it.

Fabulous location mere minutes away from the two best-preserved temples. The restaurant is excellent, serving creative dishes and providing superlative service. The rooms are large and beautifully appointed. The gardens are a treasure even on a drizzly day.

Whilst restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient, dinner food was tasteless. Crockery and glasses were worn and marked. Dinner service did not live up to standard of the hotel.

Not a dislike but take an uber to the old town as parking and driving tricky on the small streets. In addition to the temples the old town on the hill is worth seeing and having a meal there

Perfect location and beautiful rooms. Small but I was upgraded to a room with a beautiful Greek ruins. The staff was friendly and kind but check out, which is usually around noon in higher. Luxury resorts was at 11 AM forcing us to rush to wake up have breakfast pack and get out quickly.

It is a small luxury hotel of the world so it should be tied also to Hilton but because I couldn’t book directly as they said, they had no rooms through the Hilton website I booked through booking. They were kind and helpful, but I lost all possible perks, and points. It is a good reminder to always check booking even when you go directly through any Brand services that you were loyal to. I find if I can’t find directly what I want I hop onto booking and they help. The problem is I had to pay more for a room and didn’t get the top upgrade. I normally would’ve got and then also had to pay extra for the breakfast, which is usually free for a Diamond member at Hilton. But I’m so happy that booking did have the room as I really wanted to stay here in this beautiful Location.

This is definitely a five star luxury hotel with exxcellent facilities and staff. I highly recommend it. The views of the temples are stunning especially at night and the hotel gardens are great.

Excellent location if you’d like to stay just outside agrigento close to the valley of temples (the hotel has its own entrance to the site). The staff are very attentive and friendly.

certain areas look a bit tired and the restaurant (albeit serving excellent food) could be nicer and less clinical. There are also no slippers in the room which is strange for a hotel of this Calibre.

Bathroom didn’t have a proper door. There is a glass partition between the bedroom and the bathroom. The partition is frosted glass around the toilet and transparent glass around the rest of the bathroom. There is no sound or visual privacy.

Amazing location! Backdoor access to the Valley of the Temples! Pick a room with a view of the Temple — you won’t regret it. The restaurant is also very good and the staff provided excellent service over the holidays.

Annoyingly, the outdoor furniture was constantly wet — the upholstery holds water and never dried out during our two-day stay. Our room had a charming terrace with a view of the Temple Concordia, but we couldn’t use it because the seat cushions were always water sodden. No point in getting a terrace if you can’t use it. :(

The restaurant dinner was fine dining. But we did not enjoy the food.

It is of course special to stay within the park. The hotel has the own entrance, which makes the entry simple but also unique. The room itself was very comfortable. The staff friendly as you expect from such hotel. The restaurant has a very good cook. The meal seems expensive compared to other local restaurants, but if you consider the quality, it is fairly cheap. The dinner was very delicious!

I would love to see more smiling staff in such hotel. Everybody was kind, but they looked unmotivated. We have not tried the spa. The cost of it did not inspired us to risk. The hotel is within the park, so the half of the room cost is probably due to this feature.

Absolutely fabulous experience. The location (literally inside the Valley of the Temples archeological complex), the room (VERY thankful for the upgrade to a room with Temple view!), the service and staff, the amazing breakfast. Best hotel we stayed in Sicily, we would come back anytime.

Our room was lovely -- we so enjoyed the terrace with its views of the Valley of the Temples. The pool and property are fantastic and the easy access to the UNESCO site from the villa was another plus!

The location was perfect, the food and drinks were very high standard if expensive, the room was very comfortable.

There were some minor misunderstandings with staff due probably to language difficulties, but we weren’t expecting that. The weather was very wet at times.
