A very unique experience living right inside an ancient wall. They’ve made a great job making the space modern. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is well situated within minutes walk from the old town . There are some bars and restaurants directly near the Hotel. Staff at the Hotel is very friendly and responsive. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

Charming historic property in the bohemian Kalsa district. Very professionally updated to a modern and comfortable contemporary hotel. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast is excellent. The staff are very professional and helpful. And the courtyard around the hotel means that it is an oasis of peacefulness in a lively part of the city.

Staff was great, the hotel grounds with pool, hot tub and relaxing sitting area were great, and the breakfast was very nice. Close to water and short walk to sites - it was a good choice.

The entrance was a little hidden. No signage. Just a metal wall with a door hiding property.

All of the food was wonderful. The owners daughter, Carola, treated us so well at dinner. Finding special wines for us to enjoy.

Heated pool

This was our second visit here which shows how much we like it. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Breakfast is superb with fresh fruit, amazing array of pastries, cheese, etc. Lovely staff make coffee as you wish to have it. The bedroom is large and airy and ours has a small terrace enclosed by bamboos where we could sit and relax. Overall an excellent hotel.

Yolanda at the reception was amazing! She gaves us plenty of useful info about the city, helped with booking dinner, called our next destination to clarify things for us, and so much more! We’re very grateful! Breakfast area was cosy and choices were good. Suggest to include more veggies and fruit choices as well as artisanal bread. Central to all, yet quiet with windows closed.

Bastione spasimo is an absolutely beautiful and charming boutique hotel. The staff were extremely warm, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Located less than a 10 minute walk from Kalsa , it was very easy to navigate without needing transport. Lots of food and shops close by. Absolutely stunning property, would stay here again and again.

Location - bit of a scary walk to the hotel at night from palermo centrale if you are travelling alone. I would recommend you stay here if you are 2+ ppl

I can only give this hotel and its staff the highest of praise. Friendly, helpful, and creating a sense of "us" at this hotel. I will always recommend this to anyone that plans to visit Palermo. Me and my wife will be back, without a doubt.

Gorgeous property located in the Kalsa area, which was very charming. Added bonus was having a pool, one of the few hotels i believe that have one in that area.. this was very handy after a full day of site seeing. Very close to the main tourist areas. Very friendly and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough to help us. I also loved the garden area. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Palermo.

Hotel full of character in an excellent location for visiting the old town of Palermo. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly and welcoming. Paolo is a star. Great restaurants within less than five minutes walk. A real gem.

It was a comfy stay. We had everything needed. Location is quite central. Walking distance. Outdoors is beautiful, lots of plants and chill spots. Staff was very friendly. There is a pool and a jacuzzi. Plenty of pastries at the breakfast.

Pool we didn't use much as it was cold. The only thing I didn't appreciate in the room were the door of the bathroom and the toilet that were difficult to open and close. The croissants were sometimes soggy from the previous day. I would appreciate more veggies, vegan milk option and gf bread.

The cappuccino

Wonderful location with a great square in front of the hotel. It was easy to access from the train station with a 5 mn walk. Breakfast was really satisfying. The building itself had an incredible historical background.

Room was a little bit small but beautiful architecture.

We stayed for the final leg of our honeymoon and the staff left us a very kind note and gift in our room. It is in an excellent location within walking distance to all the major sights. Room was very comfortable. There is also a swimming pool which was great for relaxing on hot afternoons!

It’s an oasis in the middle of the city. Staff is friendly and take good care of their customers. Breakfast was superior. Pool is great after walking in the city. Location is amazing as there are multiple good bars and restaurants right next to the hotel.

Room really needs more power sockets. There is only one for each side of the bed and the other side was occupied for extension cord which was far also full.

Staff were super nice. It has a lovely pool. Really nice room, very different from a usual hotel room but was really comfy. Good value for money.

Difficult to park.

I absolutely loved staying here !!! The staff the amenities and location were fantastic The hotel is steeped with so Much history it gave me goosebumps! We stayed in what I call a ‘ cave ‘ room It was small but very well equipped It was very hot in Palermo and the room was as perfect to sleep in Aircon was fab ,room was dark did not hear a thing from the outside world !! Breakfast was great a good start to the day! The staff were amazing ! I’d like to especially mention Paul and Alex who just made our stay even better ! Absolutely loved after a long day of seeing the sights of Palermo to come back have a swim and cocktail in this boutique oasis before heading out to one of the local restaurants and really feeling part of the local.community Absolutely fabulous 🤩 we will be back

We had the most wonderful stay at Bastione Spasimo. Alex and the team went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. A beautiful little oasis in the heart of Palermo

The hotel was central to transport facilities, restaurants and shops but above all the hotel was a hidden gem … an oasis of calm and beauty from the hustle and bustle of busy Palermo with staff that could not do enough to make their guests comfortable.

Absolutely nothing

The outdoor space was relaxing and the pool was a great way to cool down in the afternoon. The breakfast was great and the staff was awesome.

There was a problem with the AC but the staff was on it and tried to fix it as fast as possible.

This is a lovely hotel in a great location. A nice quiet hotel within walking distance to all the main sites we wanted to see. Lovely and clean, beautiful tranquil gardens and a pool. Nice staff. Great breakfast. Would recommend.

The shower in the room was absolutely tiny. Other than that, no other criticisms.

Beautiful garden setting and friendly staff, location in Kaksa for us was perfect.

Our room was adjacent to a storage closet frequented by staff. You can see the the photos I posted with shower outside of the bathroom (?) and staff passing by, privacy was a bit limited. Other rooms did not have the same issue however, just our rooms.
