Re Federico Boutique Hotel, Syracuse

Great quiet location in the old part of town just a few steps from the sea wall. Able to swim. Away from the modern part of the city. Reception when we arrived was lovely. Allowed us to check in early as room was ready. Arranged a taxi for us to train station 20 euros. About 8 minute drive. Rang us to say we’d left mobile phone on seat and driver came back to us at station. Extremely helpful in all ways. Property has a lift.

Fantastic location in beautiful city. Easy to drop off bags and park. The hotel is excellent with spacious rooms, very helpful staff and good range of facilities. Although we chose not to have breakfast, we did use the Hotel's cafe, which was great. Hopefully will return soon.

The breakfast selection was extensive and plentiful. The staff are delightfully helpful and provide good local advice, particularly Emily. The rooms are clean, bright and spacious, and the hotel decoration presents well. Our stay was a good length to explore Syracuse and its hinterland.

It needs to be stressed to people booking that have a car, that under no circumstances can cars park on Ortigia island. Spaces are jealously protected for locals and parking illegally will undoubtedly result in a fine and wheel clamping.
Note that the public carpark is 800 metres from the hotel, and taxis have a flat fare of 20 Euros. I'd recommend using the hotel's valet parking service at 25 Euros a day. It's cheaper, and less inconvenient that having your wheel clamped! 😁
Having breakfast in the room is not something that we are used to, and we would have preferred it in a more public environment.

Excellent high quality and renovated boutique hotel, as you can imagine it is very unique in Sicily. Located in the old town, plenty good restaurants in 5min walking distance. in Very clean, friendly and flexible staff, 10 minutes walk to public parking 15€ / day. Good easy breakfast

Very charming small hotel, very cozy and in excellent condition. The room was very spacious and comfortable with a king-size bed, and the bathroom and kitchenette were very clean and well-equipped. Perfect location to visit Ortigia.

It was great! Room was super comfortable , everything was clean and modern and the host super kindly put us in a room with a great terrace where we were lucky to have our breakfast

We were upgraded to a larger room with a balcony. The room was fresh and large with a kitchenette. We also had a small round table and a sofa. Everything was excellent. The staff were very accommodating and helpful with dinner suggestions. Loved it in Ortigia really cute town.

We had a small issue with the air conditioner fan but this was fixed the following day.

A small hotel in a great location in Ortigia. The property is immaculate and the room was extremely spacious and very confortable. A small kitchen available but not required for us. The aircon was very efficient and welcome relief from the heat. Bathroom was well set out and we had no complaints. We would definitely return and happily recommend.

Nice, spacious and comfortable room.
A/C was working properly to cool temperature down as it was extremely hot when getting outside.
Small boutique hotel and nicely decorated with character.
Location was superb, a couple of minutes walking distance away from all key attractions of Ortigia.
Very convenient is the fact that there is a coffee/snacks shop connected to the hotel. No need to go for breakfast inclusive, as you can have your breakfast at your own pace and at whichever time in this coffee shop instead.

Did not like the fact that reception is available only until 9pm. Should you arrive to check in after 8- 9pm, there is an extra charge of 20e ( 50e if after midnight).
Small letters but a couple of more details for further improvement : toilet seat was broken and espresso machine available at the room I could no plug in the socket.

Can’t beat the location- size of room was very generous. Staff very warming and helpful

Elevator kept breaking

Really good location, able to walk everywhere. Rooms were big and spacious. Small kitchenette was handy. Staff were VERY helpful in helping us retrieve our lost luggage fron Catania airport.

Cute small hotel in Siracusa. Room is nice and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and ready to help. Breakfast is tasty. Location is very good - all Ortigia attractions are in walkable distance, sea is nearby, but the street itself is quiet.

The step down to the living room and spare bed a little tricky for my 84yo mother but did not impact the stay.

Clean and modern equipped room. Hotel is good maintained. However, none of that matters when the noise around you is keeping you from sleeping. Noise from the street. Noise from the staff early in the morning. To sleep good - mission impossible.

The hotel is located on one of the city's busiest streets in terms of traffic. Not good for relaxing, very difficult to sleep. I don’t recommend the stay in this hotel

We had a very spacious room with a large seating and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen . The decor was clean and modern and the reception staff were exceptionally helpful on our arrival and departure

Room was actually a suite/small apartment with bedroom, bathroom and living/dining room. Spacious!
