The Westin Chosun Hotel, Seoul

This is the Best Hotel in Seoul. Top location, very nice, friendly staff, Everything is very CLEAN and tidy. The food in the executive lounge is very delicious and staff there so nice. Every year we stay here and only in case of unavailabily we can change it.

The central location, the very good maintenance and distinctive white tea fragrance.

The price is not value for money. Should extend some discounts for stays >6 days.

I had an incredible stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic, right next to Myeongdong and the Avenue Shopping Mall, making everything accessible. I used the Club Lounge, and the staff were exceptional—very attentive and accommodating. Special thanks to Jenny and the lounge team for ensuring I had gluten-free bread to suit my dietary needs. This was my second stay, and I’ll definitely be back again!

Location is excellent, just a few step from shopping and business area. Breakfast is nice. Room is clean and comfortable. Kate at Business Center is very helpful.

We eat only lunches in Aria, they were wonderful! The room was very good: bed, bathroom with tiny light, big windows, noise-cut system. Excellent for jetlaggers.

Some Japanese-speaking staff at reception deck, please. Put some simple dishes in the room and some coffee cream too.

Fabulous location close to centre of Myeongdong and transport links. Very nice breakfast and real coffee made by a barista. Staff are very knowledgeable and courteous and were happy to stop for a chat and a smile 😊

Location. Lots of shopping and eateries. Very accessible to public transport. Hotel is near the busy Myeongdong street and yet in a quiet section of the area. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful

I didn't like the room which only has a shower inside the bathtub. It is quite difficult to climb into the bathtub for older guest, The website does not state that the room only have bathtub with no separate shower.

The hotel was luxurious but was a little old. The location would be better if it is closer tonMyeongDong Night Market.

I didn't like that the hotel did not have a washing machine room. People who travel for a long period need the use of a washing machine.

Great hotel in the great location in the heart of Myeongdong. 5 stars hotel not by luxury but extreme comfort and friendliness. There is everything you might need for body & soul. Entire staff is extremely polite and helpful. Love this place!

Location was great. Staff was friendly, hospitable, and helpful. Always with a smile on their faces. Guest relations officer, Ms.Lim, came to bring me a small cake in our room as it was my birthday and it was a pleasant surprise. I love the smell and cleanliness of our room and the soft beddings as well. Breakfast was fantastic. Fresh shrimp and vegetables, smoked salmon was excellent and not too salty. We will surely come back.

The amenities were not replenished when our suite was being serviced by the housekeeping. Not impressed with club breakfast, very limited choices especially on fresh fruit and it is always the same 3 fruits during our 5 days stay. our room faces the shrine temple and there was a prayer session on 1 of the morning, it was noisy.

Beautiful hotel in an excellent location. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy and although food in the lounge is limited it is very yummy. A staff member came by our room and gave us a welcome gift of nuts. I will definitely stay at this hotel when I return to Seoul.

I liked the proximity to Myeongdong and the altar of heaven next to the hotel. I liked the history of the hotel.

Everything met my expectations. My only suggestion is I wish the fitness center had more access to wipes around the floor to clean machines.

We loved staying in Westin josun! As I am Korean visiting Seoul to see my family, I’m familiar with area. Jung gu is where most of heritage sites around also known as shopping district. Super convenient to walk to most of sites or quick walk to the underground station. Love how classy this hotel and staff were absolutely amazing!

Rooms are bit dated but still we had great time.

The accommodation, the location, the service and the overall experience is excellent. The staff is very kind and provides service at very high level. We felt secure, comfortable and cared for. The sports and the pool facilities are also amazing. I had a birthday during my stay and received card with nice wishes and congratulations and a box of very delicious chocolates. Thank you for the exceptional experience!

If you plan on doing a lot of activities around Myeongdong, this is the hotel for you. It was centrally located for all of our activities and within walking distance. There is also a metro entrance right near the hotel. The staff are impeccable and do everything they can to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Aria breakfast buffet is amazing so if you are deciding between getting breakfast, choose yes!

Clean rooms and excellent service. Good location. Close to restaurants and attractions, and public transportation, shopping stores etc.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. Most sightseeing, dinning etc. can be done directly by foot from the hotel. The Personnel is lovely. No need to mention any names as they were all perfect. Clean, quiet, comfortable and the spa are is a bliss.

Staffs were super friendly. Breakfast was served with not too much foods but prepared with totally suitable sorts of delicious foods for breaking fast. Location was so perfect that we can go to many most famous tourist attractions of Seoul within 20 minutes of walk.

Lack of diversity of foods at cocktail hours is a disappointing point. Approaching metro stations nearby, City Hall and Euljiro il-ga, is relatively inconvenient because it needs 10+ minutes of walk to reach there in scorching hot summer of Seoul. If it was other season, that may not be such a shortcoming.

Bar and restaurant prices much too high. We avoided eating in the hotel because of this.

If there was smoking area outside it could have been more convenient instead smoking in the public parking and next to the trash. The bed was hard to have a nice sleep.

Excellent hotel, the Westin never disappoints. All employees were very polite and helpful, nice facilities and delicious food served on breakfast and room service. Location is also great for exploring Seoul city center.

It was simply a superb stay of 2 nights with spacious room. Excellent location and front desk staffs are very helpful and accommodating! Nice pool and my kids had a wonderful time.

For the price we pay, the hotel cannot even afford to provide toothbrushes in the room. Sometimes hotels are taking sustainability too far and compromise the guests experience.

Feels a bit dated and not as luxurious as I would’ve expected.

The staff was so friendly, professional and accommodating. The property was beautiful, modern and spotless. The room was large and extremely clean. The location was so convenient, next to several train lines making it easy to get to all the sights in Seoul. Also very easy to travel to the hotel from the airport using the AREX train and metro. On our flight out of Seoul, we opted for the hotel to arrange for a hotel van with child seat, very easy! I would gladly stay here again!

The room itself was quiet. The hotel is only a couple of blocks from the bustling Myeongdong "street food carts" area. It was easy to get from the airport to Seoul Station by train and then catch a subway for only one stop to City Hall Station which is very close to the hotel. Unfortunately there was a family on the same floor who let their children run in the hall and yell up until 2am. Since I had booked tours that left early every morning the short nights of sleep took a toll. As a kind suggestion......maybe hotel staff can place families with many children on the same floor as other families with children.

Like the included cocktail hour with food and beverages. Staff Service at cocktail hour and breakfast was exceptional. We also enjoyed full access to the spa, sauna and pool and fitness area.

Rules around use of the pool were overly fussy.
