With roots dating back to the 1800s, the Palace Hotel of San Francisco is an iconic landmark located at the southwest corner of Market and New Montgomery streets. The current hotel is sometimes referred to as the “New” Palace Hotel. This distinguishes it from the original 1875 Palace Hotel built. That structure had been destroyed by the fire caused by the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. With its rich history, the Palace Hotel is a member of Historic Hotels of America.
With the original architecture still in place, the hotel pairs authentic elements with modern décor. This one-of-a-kind style is filled with light and warm colors. This Palace is truly fit for royalty but affordable to everyone. This luxurious style is extended to the accommodations for guests. Lovely time in San Francisco and this hotel gave us the comfort and security we were looking for.
Location was great. Close to Oracle baseball park and a short Uber ride to Fisherman's Wharf. Hotel staff was professional and friendly. I highly recommend The Palace Hotel.

Comfortable,Mostly friendly and well located.
Vey warm and efficient greeting upon arrival by the check in person.
The daily chargers to my Credit Card for incidentals .I certainly understand the need to take my Credit Card details to cover any potential incidentals but I have never come across daily charges being applied that don't have any real relationship the the actual charges I had,I made an enquiry to the reception counter on day 2 to find out how they work and the response was a blunt-it is just to cover incidentals -I knew that and I am a well travelled person.
My very big complaint is that upon checking out I paid balance of my Bill on a different Card and asked for the pending charges to be cleared which I was told would happen .This has not happened after 2 days.Not good enough.

Classy old fashioned hotel.
The Reception at the hotel was very good ,The Concierge services were very friendly and helpful. The Breakfast was very good and set in a magnificent dining room. The location close to the Modern Art Museum was very good for our limited time. The recommended Hop on Hop off bus tour was excellent.
The room definitely needed more storage facilities. The fixed suitcases under units whilst artistic wasted valuable potential storage.

It was an unforgettable experience. We felt safe and had fun!
I love the ambiance you get from the beautifully old building. You feel like you've walked into a time capsule of the 50s.
How hard it was to pull in and find parking. Granted this is not the Hotels fault. The streets are all one ways so be mindful of surroundings.

Exceptional
The concierge were very helpful in planning out the places I wanted to visit. While the parking was expensive (although it is San Francisco), the car was easily accessible and always available when I needed it. The staff were great!

4 fabulous days in San Francisco.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. I loved the larger room. The shared amenities were very festive. There is also a museum worth a visit and of course, there is the Pied Piper Bar and painting. I'll be back.

Excellent
Location was excellent. The room was very clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and excellent, very professional. They made us feel welcome. Lunch in the bar was very good. No complaints.
The menu in the Pied Piper bar could have had more choices but a good selection of drinks.

Beautifully appointed hotel!
Rooms, beds and linens were wonderful. Location was good and easy to walk to Union square and to restaurants.
The breakfast was good in the garden course, drinks were good in the Pied Piper Bar as well.
Room service was great as well!
Waiting a long time to be served at reception.
