Everything! The house is beautiful, the location is great near bars and restaurants. The hosts were super helpful. We will definitely come back again!

Walking distance to Santa Teresa. Lovely breakfast offered each morning on the patio. Nice pool to cool off in after a day exploring Rio. Our room was very large with a rooftop deck with great views. Owners offered a few tours. We opted for a hike to the Christ statue. Also a private favela tour.

Beautiful tropical setting, kind and helpful host, delicious breakfast, ready access to wonderful restaurants and bars of Santa Teresa neighborhood. We are already planning our return!

We had a wonderful stay! The property is beautiful, and the owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and a great way to start the day. The location in Santa Teresa is fantastic, with many great bars and restaurants nearby.

The only minor downsides were that the bathroom seemed a bit outdated, there was no hot water in the shower, and the pool pump was quite loud in the mornings. Also, the room was a bit dusty. However, these small issues didn't significantly impact our overall experience.

The bed was awful unfortunately which really impacted our enjoyment, very little sleep was had.
It was rustic which we liked appearance wise but the shower leaked through the wall into the bedroom which wasn’t great

The property is beautiful. The host is wonderful, super friendly and offered many great suggestions. They offered a lovely breakfast with a wide variety of food, including assorted fruits, crepes, breads, eggs, fresh juice, coffee & tea.

The moist tropical climate has made the bed covers and curtains quite musty. They need to be washed.

Bindu and her husband are AMAZING hosts and made me feel right at home. When they learned of my interests, they were sure to give me their personal recommendations of places to visit and go while in Rio!

The location is walking distance to everything but quiet enough to get a great night's sleep. As a solo woman traveling, I felt extremely safe walking at night, and there was a guard posted on one of the nearby streets as well.

My bed was comfortable, room was spacious, and breakfast was tasty with the natural.juice being different each day :-).

I would HIGHLY recommend staying here (Sta Theresa) over the busier areas in Rio. As I stayed in Copacabana and Casa Beleza the only thing to note is that sometimes Ubers don't care to take you because it's a lot of driving uphill and some drivers don't know how to follow the GPS to the house (my last driver got lost is how I know). But this only happened to me once, and I wouldn't change staying here at all as Bindu also has a taxi service she offers guests!

Everything was great! I would just keep a landmark handy for Uber if you don't rely on the called taxi service which is higher priced.

The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The building and rooms are beautifully decorated and the breakfasts are brilliant.

Sometimes difficult to get a taxi up to Santa Teresa and the tram was full when we tried to use it. Fine if you’re up for a lot of walking!

General atmosphere very relaxed, good location, good service in general. Breakfast was particularly amazing!

The only detail would be the water pressure wasn’t very high but it’s a minor issue.

Gorgeous property in the hilly district of Santa Teresa. Friendly dog and two tortoises wander around the gardens.

Note there are steps to negotiate with luggage to all rooms. The rooms external to the house have lots more steep steps.

We really enjoyed staying here. The house and the garden are beautiful and the hosts made us feel very welcome. The breakfast is amazing and we enjoyed the terrace every morning. We loved Santa Teresa neighbourhood and would definitely stay again!
