Hotel Fasano, Rio de Janeiro

Room is super confortable, view is amazing if you have one, rooftop is the best, breakfast is perfect, service is super good.

It was our honeymoon, and they gave us the only deluxe sea room view with a tree in front and no view.
Fasano, you should definitively downgrade that room on a city view it’s a serious lack of respect to your clients.
But they changed the room after one night and gave us a discount.

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous wooden walls in the bedroom. Bed very comfortable, lovely bathroom. Hotel staff excellent, rooftop pool beautiful and certainly one of the best features.

Breakfast at an additional cost (~€30 each) seemed excessive at the price we were paying. Breakfast was quite good, although have had better selection in this price range. Breakfast room not the most scenic as it’s crammed up against the building next door. I found the general ‘dark lighting aesthetic’ a little distracting but perhaps other would like it. ceilings quite low and always thought I would hit my head off something (I’m quite tall though). Rooms certainly smaller with less space to put luggage, found it a little cramped.

Amazing location for Ipanema beach. Staff were very friendly. Rooms were really nice! We also enjoyed the restaurant.

The plastic glasses they use for drinks in the rooftop bar weren’t very nice. Many of the staff don’t speak very good English which made it hard to communicate at breakfast and in the bar.

Staff ( most of them) at the restaurants and the porters could not speak english or any other language other than Spanish, so whatever we wanted they could not understand and communicate with us. The room is in need of modernisation. Cleanliness of the room was not excellent and in particular the towels very old and used. Bedding not excellent either. The TV remote control would not work. The hotel ground floor grounds are small.

, the facilities were delightful Certainly one of the finest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The service was absolutely spectacular and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and actually all I wanna do is come back.

Sometimes it was noisy when sleeping, the banging of other people doors etc. Apart from that everything else was great.

The view upstairs was beautiful.

The service was poor. While sunbathing upstairs, I had to go to the bar myself every time I wanted another drink, as the waiters never came around to check if I needed anything. They were nowhere to be found.

Additionally, the night staff was rude and unprofessional. As a result, I decided to switch hotels.

I don’t like the staff and the way they talked to my friends when I just wanted to have a drink with them in the roof top . They pretended no guests were allowed at all . When you pay this price for a room you don’t want to be treated poorly . Especially cause some other colleagues staying at hotel had guests and it seemed no problem for them to access the bar . The general impression was rude staff trying to stay polite the whole time. The whole welcoming experience felt fake and dishonest . I would also sometimes ask for hot water and it would take an hour before getting it . For the price of this hotel I was extremely disappointed on how I have been treated .

For such an expensive room, your hotel shouldn't even be charging for your espresso pods. it's off-putting. ur hotel is overrated. very pretentious hotel.

I spend most of my time in hotels and I surely can say Fasano Rio is an extraordinary one - the details of the interiors, the level of the staff, the coziness of the pool, the convenience of the location - some venues are overrated, this is not one of them

The rooftop pool and the the coziness of our room was very nice. The food was great and Praia De Ipanema is the best beach in Rio in my opinion, which makes the location phenomenal. The hotel provided security at the beach which was nice and made us feel comfortable spending the whole day there.

The room service and overall service was a bit slow but the friendliness of the staff made up for it. In my opinion, the value of the room is a bit overpriced. We stayed in the deluxe room with the sea view and thought it was really cozy with beautiful decorations but thought it was overpriced by a few hundred dollars. We spent 3 nights and spent money that would be at least 6 nights in a just as nice or nicer hotel in Europe. If we were to pay just a few hundred more dollars, we could have stayed at a standard room in the Burj Al-Arab in Dubai, the only 7 star hotel in the world.
