The location was great, close to the beach and shopping units.

Lack of facilities and services available at the hotel. The WiFi didn't work in my room, raised it with the reception who said it will be rectified but nothing was done.

Arrived for check in & was held waiting for 45mins! On entering the room was greeted by a stained bed cover. The sheets were too small for the size of the bed with hair on them when I pulled back the cover & there was no mattress protector on the bed. In other words the sheets had not been changed - GROSS!!!!

The room

Kind and friendly reception people, Many electricity consents in bedside and on walls, Good desk drawers, Very well illuminated with switch options.

Extremely Narrow Toilet Space:
- The shower floor is only 70 cm by 120 cm (see the photo). I am not fat at all, but I felt very inconvenient to take a shower. For fat people PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE.
- The toilet stool is sticking to the wall with only 5 cm of space (see the photo).
- The toilet door is also almost bumping against the stool with only 5 cm of space (see the photo).

The location is great, the rooms are new (recently refurbished), breakfast is amazing.

The location is perfect. Close to all shops and restaurants. Also 5 minutes walk from Posto 10, the hotel also provides you with beach chair and umbrella. Super safe area even for solo travelers. Fernando and Thais are always ready to help you at the reception. The cleaners also are doing great job. Everyday they were taking care of the room with attention to details. The breakfast has a lot of options(try the pancakes and add dulce de leche), the area is not too big but I never had an issue to find a table. 10/10 for me and i highly recommend it.

Noisy and tight

Location is the best thing about this hotel/property. Breakfast was decent with good staff at the breakfast place. Courteous.

Quality of fitting/fixtures in the room are old and caused discomfort i) Refrigerator made noise, so needed to be switched off - so compromised, and never had cold water in my own room and hot Rio ii) No kettles etc for water heating and no tea/coffee sachets iii) Sockets and wiring comong out - safety hazards iv) Room had an door to the attached room - noise from other room could be heard v) LED on split AC doesn't go - so bright room to sleep in

Excellent location in central Ipanema close to many nice restaurants and the beach. Nice and helpful staff.

Basically no noise insulation to the street so bad sleep. On two evenings we did not have warm water in the shower until the staff fixed some issue with the boiler.

Good Breakfast Options and offers such as Spa, Gym and Beach equipment. The location is great close to cafes restaurants and the beach area

The walls are so thin I did not sleep at all during the night because of the high noise levels of the air conditioning system outside. Luckily it was only 1 night we stayed there…. But I won’t return with this experience. The rooms could be cleaner and water should always at least 1-2 bottles be included for the guests

It is a little small, however very nice and clean place, well decorated and comfortable beds

Good location. Decent breakfast for Brazil (although would like to have healthier options - raw vegetables, healthy breads, cereal)

£150 per night for a small depressing room with restricted view of A/C units (and weirdly shaped - half the room was a hall between the bed and bathroom) - that’s 2.5 times what I paid for an executive room in São Paulo’s posh Paulista neighbourhood a week earlier. A/C was the worst I had in four weeks in Brazil, was either ice cold or too warm - nothing in between. I am sleep deprived as a result, despite it being more than double my average room spend across Brazil. Next time will take Airbnb for Rio, this is very poor value for money and it’s not even peak season…

The Hotel was in exactly the location I needed to be able to get to the historic section of town easily and also to be able to get to the Lagoa de Rodrigo Freitas and the beaches after work

The breakfast was fine if a little limited in choices.

The hotel needs a bit of a makeover - there were only two lifts which was not enough to cope with the traffic for 70+ rooms, Also, the lifts were in particular were in poor shape, noisy and bumpy and there was only one which functioned reliably,

The hotel definitely needs a makeover.

The staff was amazing and they have been incredibly helpful with us: they let us use the chairs and ombrella for the beach even on our last day, and they let us use the gym's shower before leaving in the afternoon!

I enjoyed the room, especially the beautiful sea view. The rooftop terrace offered an even more stunning panorama. Breakfast was plentiful and featured a wide variety of options, though I did miss having tapioca.

There isn't anything I can think of.

The staff was especially attentive and solved a major problem we had with a tour operator. The hotel manager was excellent in addressing our issue with the tour operator and was able to get our money refunded. When we had issues with our safe (the battery), the staff immediately addressed it. The location is one block from the Ipanema Beach! The hotel provides towels and umbrellas free-of-charge. There are wonderful restaurants nearby -- too many to choose from!

Compared to other hotels in Brazil, the breakfast could’ve been a little bit better, but nothing to too serious.

The location is great as you are right next to the beach with a short walking distance , the staff are really helpful and welcoming also . The breakfast is nice too and the bar area

The noise from other guests the room I stayed in was not very sound proof so you can here a lot of noise so if you want a good night sleep definitely make sure you opt for a soundproof room , also safe was not working and access card needed to be reactivated frequently

Best possible location you could stay at, for first-timers in Rio. The area is very walkable even in the evening. Going to the beach also works very spontaneously as it‘s a 2 min walk from the hotel. Breakfast was rich in options and very tasty. The Staff made us feel like we were taken good care off and always there to support us. Big thank you to them! The room is also very comfortable and has a good layout. Was cleaned daily.

The only thing that bothered us was the noise coming from the air ventilation unit, but having been around in Brazil for a while now, I guess that‘s just how it is and you can‘t escape it.
The facilities could have been a tick cleaner for our taste.
