Good location! Super breakfast

The hotel is in a great location along Copacabana and the view from rooftop is phenomenal. The water in the shower was hot and at a good pressure. The staff are kind and happy to help. The doorman is on went above and beyond to give local advice and to make sure we felt safe, which we really appreciated. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel and instead went to a cafe nearby.

The rooms are perhaps a little dated for a 5* hotel but we were comfortable throughout our stay.

The location is perfect, and the breakfast is amazing with lots of buffet options including salmon and sparkling wine and fresh omelette and crepe station which they bring to your table once ordered. The staff was very attentive and often greeted me by name. The rooftop bar also has a beautiful view and a good bar. We also really enjoyed the sparkling wine upon check in. The heated bathroom floors were a big plus in the morning.

The standard room is small, looks onto a brick wall and was noisy during the weekend on the lower floors. We were so tired the noise hardly bothered us. The lobby is small and can get chaotic during busy check in times. There is a small tent with towels and chairs on the beach but don't expect much from it.

The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating - thank you for the coffees while we waited to check in. We were given good recommendations for dinner/ lunch options close by, which we indeed very nice. We are grateful for the hospitality of using the Miramar's chairs/ towels etc on the beach, which is across the road from the hotel. The location is spot-on fantastic and bang-on Copacabana. We chose not to have breakfast at the hotel, as we wanted to explore and try local food, which are literally all along the streets in any direction.

The gym is quite basic and likely not to be satisfactory those with a more dedicated fitness routine. Additionally, the steam room had an unpleasant odour on several occasions during my stay. Please consider using eucalyptus / similar de-odourants. A heads-up for fellow travellers: the final price on Booking.com may not reflect the full cost. Between the local service fees and Rio’s current tourism taxes, the "at-checkout" price can be significantly higher. I recommend contacting the hotel directly before booking to confirm the total additional fees so you aren't caught off guard. The staff at Miramar were very gracious and apologetic ( thank you)

Gym could be better

This was our third time staying at the Windsor Miramar Hotel and we look forward to staying there again. The people working there are all very friendly and helpful. Several of them remembered us from earlier visits. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The breakfast was super with a large variety of delicious food. The location is excellent, right across the street from Copacabana Beach and a short walk to Ipanema as well as a short walk from the metro station for easy access to downtown. The hotel supplies and sets up chairs and sun umbrellas free of charge for guests on the beach. Restaurants and shopping are also a short walk away.

The only problem we had was with hackers who send what look like official Booking.com messages trying to get us to give them our credit card information by saying that there is a problem with our card and we need to re-enter it. This has happened to us several times with other hotels booked using Booking.com. In one case (at another hotel) our booking was canceled, but not by the hotel. Booking.com doesn't seem to care. I phoned the Miramar Hotel directly to straighten things out. There was no problem with our credit card. I definitely recommend this hotel, but will book directly with the hotel next time and avoid Booking.com

My stay at Miramar was excellent. The only bad thing I have to say is Fabricio from the front desk was very unpleasant and rude.

The hotel is very well-maintained, classy in design and furnishings. The rooms have everything you need (including towels, shampoo, and a hair dryer) and are comfortable. The air conditioning is a great help. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Copacabana. You can go out in the evening without any worries, as there are police posts everywhere. It's a tourist-friendly area with very good bars and restaurants. Hotel security is excellent — there is always a guard on duty throughout the night. The staff are five-star. The panoramic rooftop pool terrace is spectacular, and the hotel provides free towels and beach chairs for guests. We didn't try the restaurant, but it looked good at first glance. Check-in and check-out are very straightforward. Staff speak English. Highly recommended!

Nice room, very comfortable beds, Nice location, excellent breakfast, professional and friendly staff.

Third time we stayed at that hotel. We quoted the confort lower than previous times because we heard the motor of the swimming pool (16th floor) during the day in our room at the 15th floor. Rooms at the back are also more noisy in the morning (laundry in the vicinity) from 8 am on. Nevertheless, overall feasible but not an ideal room location.

Right by copacabana beach with free towel and shade service.

You couldn’t get any shade on the sunbeds next to the pool so was a bit difficult with our baby who needed the shade. We couldn’t enjoy the pool as much as we would’ve loved to.

Staff were very friendly and provided a great service. Location was perfect right next to the beach. If you’re looking for a clean and comfortable stay in Rio I highly recommend this hotel. I went on my birthday and I was surprised to answer my hotel door and be greeted by one of the staff members with a cheesecake to celebrate which was a really thoughtful touch.

We loved everything!

Everything about Miramar was perfect. Everyone was so helpful and kind from restaurant recommendations to tickets to the Maracana! Rio is a beautiful city and miramar is a great place to stay.

Location was perfect, directly overlooking Copacabana beach. Great breakfast with a variety of different food options. Great views from the roof top terrace. Rooms were comfortable enough.

Great location on Copacabana beachfront. Good value for money. Nice rooftop pool with good bar service. Room was spacious and clean. Decent WiFi. Plenty of seating at breakfast. Staff were generally friendly and helpful except a couple. Housekeeping were very efficient.

Lack of vegan options at breakfast and no allergy labelling. The lady at the breakfast check in was quite offhand almost rude despite us only really needing to speak to her briefly to check our room number. She was the exception though as most staff were very nice.

Fabulous location, very comfortable bed and lovely rooftop bar overlooking Copacabana Beach. A Every member of staff was smiley and helpful. Also liked the provision of sun chairs and parasols on the beach near to the hotel.

Coffee in the room was chargeable and that's disappointing. It's not a cheap hotel and a couple of coffees in the room each day is negligible. Other extras, water and chocolates were provided and were appreciated.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The rooftop pool was an oasis from the excitement on Copacabana.

The front desk recommended several restaurants and helped us book a great one. The bellman was also very friendly and helpful . Uber works everywhere and even a return taxi accepted credit cards do no cash needed

Was surprised to be charged for coffee as part of the mini-bar. Usually this is complimentary in every hotel I have stayed, 3,4, and 5 start properties. Bed was a bit worn and had a sway in the middle.
