Super room, fantastic location opposite the beach. Staff were amazing and so helpful. Highly recommend the hotel

The gym was not the best

The breakfast was amazing and the staff were very friendly. They were very accommodating and you felt very safe in the hotel.

There were a few marks on the walls and scuffs on doors in the room that wouldn’t normally be seen in a five star. That said I am absolutely nitpicking as another 5 star hotel down the road we stayed at initially was in much much much worse condition. I would still recommend people to stay here

I liked the sparkling wine when checking-in, I liked the chocolate left in the room each day. The staff were attentive and friendly, the bed was comfortable and the views from the sun terrace were fantastic.

Fantastic location, literally across the road from the beach. Walking distance to other areas. The hotel itself was beautiful and well looked after. Breakfast was lovely and restaurant excellent.

My only, very small complaint was the size of the pool. But I understand it is rooftop so space limited anyway. The bar attached was lovely with good service.

The hotel experience was truly remarkable! The staff were professional and attentive. The restaurant was nice. The rooftop pool was beautiful. My biggest concern was the lack of piece of mind in the booking process. The fraudulent messages I received on multiple occasions suggesting I hadn’t paid and might lose my reservation. Upon contacting the hotel directly, I was reassured. However, no one wants to go through that. But, I was pleased to see the seamless check in upon arrival. The check in time was minimal and the staff were very well prepared. I would highly recommend the hotel and would stay again.

It was a bit pricey. To provide everything that was provided without compromising on quality and cleanliness can still be achieved for a little less, I think.

Comfortable bed, clean room, showers that worked well, brilliant buffet breakfast with a freshly cooked egg station and really friendly, helpful staff. Restaurant prices reasonable too.

The hotel is located right in front of one of Copacabana's landmarks - Posto 5. There are plenty of services and restaurants around to choose from. The staff was super friendly. The view from the rooftop is great and the pool area quite good. The breakfast was fantastic!

Great roof top pool and bar with perfect views over copacabana beach and towards sugar loaf mountain. Food was good and reasonably priced. Big room with comfortable bed and pillows. Friendly and helpful staff.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly. My sister and I forgot our adapters to charge our devices & the front desk was kind enough to let us borrow some.

Location is excellent. Staff are really good and will help with anything. Restaurant for breakfast is superb both food and staff, had one evening meal in the restaurant the menu is Italian and was first rate. The prices are reasonable and the free sun beds on the beach are a really great. Beach is packed at weekends but the staff always found room for us. Rooftop bar is good and the bar food is up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Rio. The hotel faces sunrise and every morning there were several hundred paddle boarders waiting for sun up and cheered when it came up.

There was nothing that caused a problem but If I was being picky the coffee pods in the room were not free and I would have expected them to be included in a 5 star hotel so nothing to stop me booking again.

Amazing facilities and beautiful pool but the rooms felt a bit dated. Updating the rooms would make this hotel a 10.

The staff was beyond excellent. The staff at the front desk were friendly, informative and went beyond. They helped me get ahold of the tour operator when they didn't show up in time. What I really appreciate was an early checking. It made all the difference since we had flown a very long way. I know it is not always possible to do this

Location is great - across the street from Copacabana Beach as all hotels are - none on the water side. Close to Ipanema beach as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from the pool deck gorgeous! The pool is small but all he hotel pools are small in Rio. The partial beach view wasn't much. But there was a lovely tree outside our room. And a great cafe and pharmacy around the corner. The hotel is not North American 5* standard but I would say a 4* at best. It was clean and not run down. It just wasn't fancy.

Could use more pool deck chairs but I did love all the tables for having a drink and a snack as well.

Lovely hotel in a great location right on copacabana beach. The bed was really comfortable and the room and bathroom were spotless. The staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Would definitely recommend this hotel for any trip to Rio!

The view was sensational. The staff and service was outstanding. Always clean, food was excellent- so much choice for breakfast. Best hotel ever stayed in for this kind of trip. It was our honeymoon and could t have chosen better place.

Would be good to have parasols at the pool as it was so hot (which is a great problem to have) genuinely the only thing could have improved on

late checkin time (3pm) does not fit to flight arrival time - had to wait 1,5 hours to receive access to my room, the rest was just perfect!

Our stay at Miramar was absolutely perfect, as always. From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the entire staff made us feel right at home. The room was amazing—cozy, beautifully decorated, and featuring an incredibly comfortable infinity bed that ensured a restful night's sleep. The restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly and kind, and the breakfast was nothing short of fantastic. The delicious food was the perfect way to start our days and prepare for exploring the beauty of Rio de Janeiro. The pool area was simply unbelievable, offering stunning views that made it hard to leave. The hotel’s location is ideal, and the beach service was impeccable, adding to the overall flawless experience. There are only amazing things to say about Miramar, which is why we always choose to stay here. It’s a truly special place that never disappoints.

It’s always bittersweet to leave Miramar and return to the chilly streets of London. This paradise will be dearly missed until we can return.

Our deluxe sea view room had an amazing view of the beach. All staff were friendly and almost all spoke good English, including front desk, concierges. We were let in early to our room which was helpful. Our luggage was stored after we checked out. There are free chairs and towels for guests on the beach opposite, which is supervised by hotel staff

We asked about a car to the airport and were quoted a large amount. We decided to get an Uber which was very reasonable in comparison.

Lots of wasted space in the room (entrance hall, wall separating the room in two parts with one part not useable)

For a hotel that size, the gym was very small and didn't have enough equipment.

Great hotel, perfectly located if you want to be on Copacabana Beach. Wonderful views of the bay, including Sugar Loaf from our room. The prices of drinks were reasonable, and we ate in the Restaurant once when we were tired after a day being tourists. The standard of the food surprised us very pleasantly, and we had a really excellent bottle of Brazilian red wine (Familia Bebber - Cabernet Franc) at a very good price. The restaurant didn't seem to be very popular - perhaps because it's in the hotel and a white table cloth kind of place. Shame - the food is very good and service excellent. For more informal dining, try Venga, about 150 yards to the South along the Avenida Atlantica.

Check out is 1200 which is very good, unless you arrive early and are hoping for a room to be ready! We arrived at 0800 from our flight and got into our room at 1400.

The location, the staff, the room all were great.

The restaurant downstairs was just ok and expensive for what you got. We went there for dinner and breakfast. At breakfast, the things in the warming dishes were all cold! Scrambled eggs are not nice when they are cold.
