Golden Well Hotel, Prague

The food was amazing. The room was romantic. The other guests were friendly and nice. The staff were polite friendly and helpful.

The coffee machine in the bedroom - but, so what.

Charming and comfortable and cozy yet elegant, with tremendous views from 3rd and 4th floors, and convenient to all the sights of Prague’s old town

Cobblestone streets and sidewalks are quaint but mean you may need to carry your bags up the last 50 yards uphill since rolling luggage is not designed for cobblestones lol

It is in a quiet and beautiful location with a fantastic view of the city from the breakfast room. The staff pays amazing attention to detail surprising us with Star Wars extra special touches.

I almost don’t want to tell anyone about this property- to keep it myself, alas I cannot. This Hotel is one of the most exceptional lodging experiences of my life, and I’ve traveled extensively!
Its a former Prague Castle, extended building, just at the base of the complex and a former home of the Court of Rudolph II’s Astronomer Tycho Brahee amongst others.
The service, setting and amenities are truly world class. The food was excellent and I was in heaven staying here!

The breakfast was exceptional. The best we’ve had since we’ve been in Europe. We had omelettes which were awesome and also French toast and crêpes which were amazing. The staff were advised it was our daughter’s 15th birthday and they brought out chocolates at breakfast and also took Kate to her room during the day. A really nice touch.

The breakfast was exceptional and the best variety of food of all our stays in Czechia. The breakfast staff were very welcoming and kind, nothing was too much trouble.
Check-in was seamless and our every need was attended to. The room had a gorgeous view and a lovely elegant style.

I found the shower over the bath a challenge, without a handrail. When you are trying to keep your balance on the slippery bath tub and change the water temperature with complex tapware, it's a bit of a comedy !

Great location next to the castle. Extremely comfortable and clean with impeccable service and a warm welcome. The rooftop restaurant is not to be missed. Excellent food and an unbeatable view across Prague

Prague is a magical city and the Golden Well staff are amazing.

We were sad that we didn’t book dinner in advance and the restaurant was sold out during our stay.

Exceptional. Everything has been beyond and above. The location, the room, the amenities and the breakfast. A special mention to the ladies whO run the breakfast. Quality is the word that sums up my whole experience. Highly recommended to people who respect their leisure time and their budget.

Upon arrival, the gentleman at reception was completely knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and arranged a guide for us.
While all staff members were extremely polite, in the following days, some of the reception staff were not as knowledgeable.
That said, everyone did take care of all of our request.

Cozy warm elegant facilities across the board. Helpful staff from check in, to breakfast, to the rooftop restaurant. We really enjoyed the services of the hotel and the location.

The Golden Well is in a perfect location, on the western side of the River Vltava and slightly separated from the busiest streets throughout town. It's quiet, impeccably maintained and the staff are very helpful. Their rooftop restaurant, which hosts breakfast, has an expansive view over the city and was a perfect place to enjoy delicious food and start the day. We will definitely stay here again.

The staff were very friendly especially David. The hotel was so inviting and cozy - a few minutes walk from Charles Bridge and The Old Town. Breakfast room is on 4th floor with view over the city. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety and again very helpful staff.

Top notch all around with a helpful outgoing staff. We had an exceptionally clean room with comfortable bed. The Hotel is a great location, very quiet on a dead end, but only a short walk(5 min max)to public transportation ( tram line with multiple connections to get anywhere in the city). Neighborhood bars and restaurants both geared toward tourists and local spots a stones throw away. It was very walkable to big attractions like the castle, museums and Charles Bridge. I spent way too much research trying to find the right place to stay in Prague having never been there before. Beat my expectations in every way.

This is an exceptional property, and provides one of the best experiences my wife and I have ever enjoyed at a hotel. Everything about this hotel is outstanding. The staff cannot do enough for you and the rooms are equisitely decorated and apointed. If you do stay, take full advantage of the happy hour from 4pm to 6pm and the fantastic cusine and views from the restaurant terrace. Very highly recommended. The location is perfect for access to the castle, rived and the Charles Bridge. Bear in mind access to the hotel is by cobbled street on a hill which may not suit some travellers.

The relatively steep walk up to the hotel on a cobbled street. Drop off is on a busy triangle on a hille with many parked vehicles which does detract somewhat from the amazingness of the hotel.
