Le Germain Hotel, Ottawa

The hotel is easy to find and in a great location. It is close to large shopping areas and city sights. The staff are very friendly welcoming and helpful. Our room was on the 11th floor and had an interesting view of the city. It was extremely comfortable and quiet.

There is only a small gym and no pool or hot tub which would have been nice.

Great size room, extremely comfortable bed. Cozy modern decor. Nice selection of drinks and snacks in the minibar (we were thirsty late at night). Very clean. Great location. I didn't use or see the facilities so I cannot comment on it. The staff that checked us in and out were very king.

My only complaint is that our room was missing new toothbrushes, slippers and bathrobes and I had to call reception and ask for them and waited 30 minutes then called again and waited another 20 minutes. Then I left the room because I was late for dinner reservations (but annoyed because I wanted to brush my teeth and couldn't and I had just come back from a camping trip and had gotten rid of my toothbrush beforehand) and again asked on my way out of the hotel. I was a bit annoyed at this matter as I returned several hours later and AGAIN the requested items were not in my room. So I called again and they brought it for me immediately. Unfortunately I used a harsher tone the last time I asked which I was not happy about doing either, however the staff didn't seem at all apologetic about the wait. But other than that everything else was fine.

The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive. The room was beautiful and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept on! High quality toiletries and tea and coffee. Location was great and really convenient

We had a beautiful generous room on the top floor (I think we got an upgrade!). All the amenities were high quality and generous. We had a nespresso machine in the room and there was one in the lobby. A dream come true for European travelers!

The bathroom was big and well equipped as well.

The location seemed not that great at first but then we realized we were 5 min walk away from all the action.

The staff was extremely friendly, responsive and patient. We also had breakfast at the property which was also great.

All in all an amazing experience!

What a hotel. The staff were just fantastic and they all really went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The room was perfect and we also loved the restaurant.

We had a wonderful stay, the hotel is located next to the Byward Market as well as a range of Ottawa's key attractions. We had a very comfortable stay and would recommend this stylish hotel.

Easy to access and conveniently located, valet parkeing available, friendly staff, room was clean and comfortable, it's a big plus to not have carpeted floors!!

We came back from a concert at 10pm and it was impossible to access the restaurant or room service. We had to order from UberEats.

Road noise at times

check in was smooth, staff were very helpful and friendly, room was beautiful, great consideration for one of my teens who had a nut allergy, food was amazing in restaurant for breakfast.

not enough towels in my room, noticed that my floor could have been vacuumed more, we didn't have house keeping come clean my room during the day

This is not our first stay at the Germain, its just wonderful we love everything about the stay. During the evening when we are out for supper the staff come and make our room cozy for the night, they close the electric blinds, bring water and tea cups and open the bed sheets. We love the

Everything as pretty much always great, maybe that the hotel bar/restaurant closes at 11h00pm. So we miss our night cap if our shows finish later.

Beds were very comfortable. The toiletries were excellent. The rooms nicely appointed. The lobby had a great smelling candle that made you feel like being at home. Cristof the manager went out of his way to make sure our stay was extra comfortable. He was exceptional.

This is our second stay at the Ottawa location and it’s great. The rooms are spacious and going for the prestige room was so worth it. The underground parking was right beside the hotel and location is super for shopping and restaurants.

spacious well decorated and exceptionally clean located in the corner with windows towards the beautiful city view. environment deeply quite.food(steak which I ordered) was one of the most high quality meats I had ever had.
purified water which was provided in each floor was unique in nature.had not tasted such light and clear water before.

breakfast time starts at 7 which is a little bit late, specially for those who have to head out early.
breakfast buffet as well as food menu is considerably limited which is out of proportion to other facilities.Lack of soup in main course menu is something that can't be overlooked.

Great property. Rooms are very clean and have a reasonable amount of amenities available.

Hotel was much smaller than other La Germain properties and did not have a lounge/bar or a spa.

Great location and staff very friendly. Malak was very welcoming and showed interest on what we were doing the next day and then offered us a late check out which I have never been offered without asking for it.

Whilst in the city and short walk to key attractions it felt a little out on its own - would have preferred to be more in centre of city though wonderful restaurant and bar made up for it.

Location was nice and close to many things but also close to a lot of homeless shelters close by which I didn’t love, waking around with my two kids.

As always the property was very welcoming with these amazing staff members. The staff is very kind and polite. They are always doing their best and they always go above and beyond to please the clients.

This was out wedding night, I had asked for a little extra to make it special. The staff had put out some petals on the bed and had lovely music playing in the room. There was also champagne and some macaroons. It was absolutely magical

The room amenities exceeded our expectations, especially the power window shades. The staff was very responsive to our requests and extremely courteous.

The area in front of the hotel to park the car to register was very small and not easily visible.

Parking was a problem. We had paid for 2 days but on our second day - there wasn’t a spot left. We heard others complaining about the same thing. But the woman at the front desk was lovely and tried to fix it.
