Great location - walking distance to many sites

Great old hotel that has been well maintained. Location can't be beat in Ottawa. Very friendly staff.

Pool was busy and we had to make a reservation that we did not know we had to do the first day.

It was like being in a museum/art gallery!

Most staff were dressed very nicely. Not all, however. There were also a couple errors on the menu at Zoe’s.

Our room was a bit run down and worn.

Historical property. Unbeatable location. breakfast was very good but pricey. Nice bar.

Grand old building in a great central setting! Staff were very good. Room had a great view and was quite with a great bed!

Room had abit of a funny smell to it. Restaurant on the terrace was very disappointing for a fairmont. Burnt pizza! But the service was good and it was discounted. And the breakfast price was ridiculous! Just eat somewhere else than the hotel. Car parking at checkout was carnage people waiting an hour for the valet to get their car. Luckily we parked across the street which was alot cheaper.

Nice historic hotel. Perfect location, especially for Canada Day! Comfortable bed. Clean. Room with two bathrooms was awesome for our family.

There was a smell that happened with the plumbing that was bothersome. We mentioned it and they seemed very concerned. Should have mentioned it sooner. Should not have assumed that old hotels just have bad pipes. I’m sure they would have addressed it as soon as we noticed it.

It was central in location.

The air conditioning was malfunctioning and hot in the room.

The only problem was that the room smelled bad. Like a wet dog. Especially the bathroom. Everything g else was excellent.

The hotel is very nice and very well located, excellent service and the restaurants, breakfast also very good.

We did not like the room we were offered because of the noise. The bed was too small and the pillows unfortunately smelled of sweat. This bothered us a lot ... In the restaurant the food was very good, but the table we sat at was dirty, and there were paper napkins under the table, perhaps from the clients who sat before us ... we did not feel very comfortable eating looking at the table in that situation. All this can happen with a full hotel and high demand for the restaurant but small details that should be controlled.

It was very close to most of the major attractions.

We did not use their parking facilities but chose to park across the street ( way cheaper). The only negative about the room was that the air conditioner didn’t blow a lot of cold air. When we called the front desk they said it was a site wide problem.

Entry and parking was chaos and only one lane. Hard to get in and out.

Location is close to everything I wanted to be near. Great views too. Friendly and welcoming staff.

Watching a movie both nights was frustrating- was glitchy and worked poorly. Paying for wifi seems archaic - should be included with room or made aware in booking process. Pool - architecturally stunning, needed cleaning as did the women’s change room.

The location was excellent!!!!! We were walking distance from museums, art galleries, waterfront, cultural places and restaurants. I also really appreciated that we could add an extra bed, because as a family of 5 (three kids) we can hardly find hotel rooms for 5 people!!

The style of the room and bathroom was maybe a little bit old fashioned. It may need some renovations. But they are overall acceptable!

Breakfast and dinner was fantastic

My daughter noticed halfway home that her apartment key , gym key card and a leather fob were missing from her car keys. We had the car parked at the hotel. She called the hotel when we got home, but did not here anything back. The parking situation was crazy both coming in and leaving. We gave them a 30 minute heads up when we needed our car and then waited another half hour at the entrance. It was chaos.

Location is great

The hotel parking fee is very expensive, and guests should at least have discounts or free of charge. And I have paid the room fee on the booking, but the hotel still charged my room fee again by credit card, so that the process of negotiating a refund was very troublesome, which caused me a lot of inconvenience.

Location was great and we did a Walking tour with Kirsten, who was very informative Staff managing the valet parking were really friendly, especially when we accidentally drove in the Exit The River Cruise was worthwhile taking

Location was ideal, room was clean with nice view. Staff was friendly and cooperative, breakfast was nice.

I could hear people were talking coughing in adjacent rooms, need better soundproofing. It would be nice to have toothpaste that I didn't pack assuming it would be there.

The location is fantastic. The lobby was gorgeous.

The Ad shows they have free underground parking, but it wasn't true. Although they have, it is constrained. In that case, I had to park in a public garage, National Art Gallery's garage, which wasn't free and a 7 min walk away ($16-$25/day). They didn't tell us that there was a wedding opposite our room. We cannot sleep until 11 pm. The wedding guests were very loud. The room was a bit outdated. For example, the blinder was crumpled, and the bed floated like waves.
