our bathroom was a bit small

The location was great! Beautiful view. Staff was very friendly and responsive. We discovered that our toilet was broken when we first arrived; they responded within 1/2 and fixed it.

I was on the 20th floor and it was very noisy. Noise was water through pipes and other building noises not related to guests. This made it difficult to sleep. Bathroom door was very difficult to open and heavy. At times, I was afraid I was going to get stuck.

Love the buffet breakfast …especially the lox and croissants. Like that it’s centrally located to everything.

Slightly dated rooms. Stayed on the 20th floor, with a great view, but by 9 pm, dance music started, seeming to come from an adjoining room. It turns out that a wedding was taking place on the 22nd floor and the noise was so loud that we had trouble falling asleep. By 23:00, we had called reception twice and they finally managed to bring the noise down, due to the excessive number of complaints. Restaurant for breakfast was overcrowded. We waited in line for 30min and when we realized it would be another 20 min, we ended up buying a coffee and a croissant from a coffee stand besides the entrance. It turns out that in Ottawa, on a Sunday morning, brunch restaurants don’t open before 11:00. Not the hotel’s fault, but maybe something could be done to accept more customers, at a faster pace. Quite pricey! It aims to be a high end hotel, but at 650$/night with all the fine print taxes included, it’s quite a bite to chew!

Bath accessories like shower gel, shampoo, body lotions, and conditioners were very nice. Room cleaning was very satisfactory. Basketball was enjoyable. Access to the mall next door is definitely convenient. Stuff at the restaurant were very hospitable.

1. Staff at the reception needs better training to handle rush. Saturday, most likely the hotel was full and the reception area looked like a railway platform, without enough places to accommodate checking-in guests. 2. Although I had made full payment for my room reservation, the checking-in person double charged me without checking with me. 3. Room was not ready by 2 pm and I was told to wait at the reception with my 2 kids. We travelled from Toronto in via Rail and were tired. Very unceremoniously after waiting for almost an hour, we were handed over the room access cards and that's all. It felt like "wam, bam, thank you mam". Very unwelcoming. 4. Room needs to be spruced up. There were cracks and holes. 5. Breakfast menu is very ordinary. Didn't feel like serving cosmopolitan international guests. 6. Some Swimming pool is too small.

Room on 13th floor was comfortable and well maintained.

No complaints.

Got a nice room with a view on Parliament hill. However we were too low to experience the whole view. Beds were comfortable, breakfast was outstanding. Loved the location.

Nothing negative to say here.

Location is amazing. And love being attached to the Rideau Centre. View from our room was gorgeous.

Location, service, cleaness.

Asked for hairdryer and champaigne glasses to the room. Got it after 3 hours and 3 phone calls. Slow service. Everybody looking to be tipped.

The staff, from the check-in staff, wait-staff at Daly's, were very helpful, courteous, very accommodating.

The room on the 15th floor was tired looking; furniture, carpet was old, bathroom needed renovation and the room had a stale smell. The elevator from the Mall Parking Garage to the Hotel didn't work during our stay. One elevator in the hotel was out-of-commission as well. Our room on the 11th floor was in better condition but the sheers were ripped and the curtain track needed some TLC. View was toward the canal, Parliament Hill and was wonderful, enjoyable.

Excellent laid out room with fantastic city & canal views. Location wise it is one of the best centrally located properties, bonus being directly connected to Rideau Center Mall having excellent shopping & eating possibilities besides giving excellent connectivity through the Rideau Center bust station as well as O-Train station within the mall.

Location, breakfast

Some of the Indian staff need more training and to be told that all visitors of all races and color need to be treated equally. Also, staff need to be more tolerant of teenagers. Ask more questions when they try to get breakfast, and make sure they are taken cared of without their parents. My bed had something like sand and a napkin. I only noticed at 3 a.m. in the morning. Then I was so busy with the boys the next day, I forgot to report it.

The room was spacious, well lit. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel location is excellent
