Great location and facilities

Needs better in room coffee machines.

It was connected to the Rideau centre so no matter the weather we did everything we wanted.
The restaurant was right there and the food was delicious.

The restaurant was amazing but expensive. The wine was way over priced. Not sure if the hotel has anything directly to do with it but mentioning just the same.

Our bed was so squeaky that we could not turn over without it screeching. Terrible for sleep.

We had breakfast somewhere else.

Check-in process was a bit slow but tolerable.

Excellent quality bedding and spacious family room

The front desk and restaurant staff was very helpful and pleasant to interact with. The view from our room (2112) was fantastic, our dog loved looking out and watching everyone too! The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and we loved the "Pet in Room" sign for the door! It was a thoughtful addition and made us feel welcome with our dog.

The housekeeping staff was not particularly friendly. When we asked for a refresh of coffee and sugars/ cream, the house keeper at the time seemed a bit annoyed at the request but we thanked her for helping us, of course. We also requested a second robe and slippers as we wanted to use the pool. The front desk staff was friendly, but the staff member who brought up the items just handed them to us at the door and walked away. It was just a weird interaction.

My husband and I both loved the breakfast buffet and the bed was very comfortable to sleep on. We had Rashid as our waiter while we stayed there and he was very friendly and made our stay extra special

Requested Parliament View and what a view it was, thank you. We were there for our wedding night in 1984. A lot of upgrades made since then, thank you. Loved the bathroom.
And you elevators - very interesting. Haven't seen anything like it. And very smooth.

There wasn't milk or cream available for coffee. No shower cap. Need longer/bigger towels - and more.

Housekeeping bit hit and miss

It was at a convenient location downtown. We liked that we could just leave our vehicles parked and just walk to see a lot of things near by.

We wish we had balconies.

The location was great and having access to the mall was great.

Not necessarily anything directly about property but more so the area , we’ve found it has so many homeless and drug out street people since our last visit , sadly it made us somewhat uncomfortable.

Location, the Shore Club, staff was excellent

We had a room with two double beds but only one easy chair
Our room was on the 23rd floor with glass wondows floor to ceiling
We would have liked to be able to sit snd enjoy the view
We needed an additional chair!
Also, the watersaver toilet did not flush thoroughly!!!

Location was great. Friendly staff

Pool water was cold. Room could be cleaner. Sheets didn’t fell fresh, pillows were so so. Didn’t feel my car was safe on parking lot.

The room, the fact that it is connected to a mall and I like the breakfast and the friendliness of the people there. In a previous trip I also ate in your fine dining and had a good experience.

When I checked out it was very early in the morning. I think 4 am or something like that and the receptionist who handled my checkout got all the details of what I wanted in my invoice/receipt wrong so I left her the details and my calling card to just email me the correct one as my Uber had already arrived. I never got that email. Also, she told me that the debit card reader wouldn't work when somebody intervened it suddenly worked. I found that strange.

The location could not be better: within walking distance of Shaw Centre, Parliament Hill, and CF Rideau shopping center.
The room was spacious, well-maintained, and offered a magnificent view of the city through its large window.

Nothing really!

Always a pleasure to stay at the Westin, lived there view from our huge window.

I hate the lifts/elevators, it’s the worst system I’ve ever come across in a hotel. We spent ages trying to go up and down. It didn’t help that there are no stairs available after the 4th floor. This is my only complaint and it was shared by quite a few other hotel patrons we were stuck with trying to go up or down.

We were offered reduced housekeeping which we accepted but they only attend on 2 occasions over a 9 day stay, I wouldn’t agree to that in the future. Alternate days would be better

Good hotel in a great location. Comfortable, modern, clean room.

There was noise outside the room during the night. Not sure the source but seemed mechanical in nature.
The 8th floor didn’t provide a great view.

Room over looking the Parliament Buildings - Fireworks out the window were spectacular.

Great room size, bed was very comfortable, love the built in shampoo, conditioner and bath wash. Chair was comfortable also

Breakfast selection was great with both buffet and menu. A little pricey for the buffet but good selection.

Other then price being a bit high, food and staff were great.
