Clarion Hotel The Hub, Oslo

Everything except the air conditioning. It’s very warm during summer. And not possible to turn down to a comfortable sleeping temperature

The location, the amenity, the breakfast and in particular the caring staff

There is no place for luggage in the rooms . Do not book an economy double room unless you are a solo traveller or a couple with no luggage. Even when moved to a larger nicer room there was no place for suitcases except the floor

The location of the hotel just across the road from the station is extremely convenient and the main reason we chose to stay there. The breakfast was the most extensive and varied that I have ever experienced. Wonderful!!!

There was a queue when we checked in. More reception staff at busy times would be helpful.

I did not get a chance to enjoy anything, because being kept awake all night i had to use my energy to go to meetings, then straight back to the hotel to catch up on some sleep.

The noise at night, prostitutes and gangs of men arguing in the side street! Then the next night it was roadworks and more gangs arguing, it seemed like it was a meeting place for criminals right next to the hotel so even if the bed was very comfortable. The noise was too much for me as i had to get up early. So i was happy to leave.

One of best hotels I have stayed in. The Foyer and Bar area outstanding. The buffet breakfast choice outstanding. Room 1080 was perfect for me as a single man nowadays.

Nothing really annoyed me

Great location, great breakfast. Beautiful lobby and dining-room..

The size of the room. It was so small it didn't even have a closet! If a couple rented it one person would have to jump over the other to get out of the bed. Ok for a single person. I think that a smaller desk against the bathroom wall would allow the bed to be moved around the room.

Location was fabulous. The service was excellent and friendly. The restaurant breakfast was outstanding and food at the bar was quite good.

We thought the rooms were small and would have appreciated having more lighting, a chair to sit in and more space for hanging our clothes.. We even upgraded to a larger room which had more seating but still lacked lighting and hanging space.

Breakfast buffet was amazing!

Noisy at night if you open windows. Lots of people leaving clubs and fighting.

Location

The breakfast was the most extravagant buffet I have ever seen. Sadly, I did not know when making the reservation that The Hub would be a venue for the Inferno Fest. Even though my room was on the opposite side of the hotel and ten floors up, the heavy bass came through the structure. Otherwise the room was fine, and management generously the night we were kept awake until 3:00.

I had to leave very early and could not sample the breakfast, but the room was very comfortable and the location convenient.

Bar prices seemed high, even for Oslo standards.

Queue for check-in took 15 minutes as there was only one desk and the person was being slow and talking too much ! this was annoying after a long journey !

Spa floor was constantly flooded. Reception staff were of little or no help when I reported that I had left my prescription drugs behind. Even though I was going to spend another 4 nights in Clarion hotels, there was no interest in arranging find or forward my drugs!

Great location and breakfast. It is easy to walk about to the attractions. Really close to the railway.

There is only 1 chair in the room. It would be great to have 2 as we stayed for 4 nights. This is a comment for all hotels - if you want people to reuse their towels there needs to be somewhere to hang them.

The rooms could be a bit larger

The hotel is ideally located opposite the train station, with easy access to the airport. Buses and trams to all areas of Oslo also depart from this point, facilitating travel around the city. Many areas of interest, as well as plenty of bars and restaurants, are within easy walking distance. The staff were very accomodating and ensured we were allocated a room which we were happy with.

The Spa and fitness area are small considering the size of the hotel, and at the weekend it was imporrible to get access as they were too crowded.

We had an unplanned two night stay at the Clarion Hub in Oslo after we missed our flight connection due to Oslo airport being closed for some hours. The hotel is very centrally located a couple of minutes from the train station. Staff were all exceptional- friendly and helpful. After a very difficult and stressful time at the airport it was such a delight to relax in a beautifully clean and comfortable bed- great pillows and mattress, and a decent sized tv with access to a good range of channels. The breakfast was really superb, just sad we had to leave so early on 18/3 so that we missed the full buffet experience! We were given a basic ‘takeaway’ breakfast but this was not a patch on the feast that is available at normal hours. Our first night was in a very small room as it was all they had. We moved to a larger standard room for the second night which was indeed very much bigger and more luxurious- especially the bathroom. I could have quite happily stayed in this hotel for much longer and quite sad when we had to leave- it was that good!

For a kettle to be provided rather than a coffee maker- otherwise I can’t thing of anything else we would have changed.

Very convenient location near the city centre and public transport.

Our room was very small and we had stayed in several Clarion hotels and expected better. There was no space to get to the window without waking up partner.
