We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel! The location was perfect, right next to the main station and multiple public transport stops, and just a short walk away from the opera. The staff working at the hotel were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious with a LOT of choices.

At some point during our stay, the breakfast times were shortened to 9:30am which we found a little early, especially since the staff packed up all the food within minutes.

There is a lounge at the same floor of my stay. It’s nice and comfortable. We ate there. The food variety of the breakfast buffet was great. Location is excellent

Location was excellent- across the road from the railway station, close to transport, close to attractions.

Breakfast was plentiful, however no English breakfast tea for x 2 days. No kettle in room - needed to ask. Limited support re tourist attractions however there is a tourist information in the railway station.

Everything about this hotel is amazing! Starting from the location, you cannot get anymore central than this hotel. The quick and efficient check in from the friendly, welcoming and informative staff. Then the stylish, comfortable and clean room. The breakfast is out of this world! So much choice, so fresh and so tasty! The spa facilities are an added bonus. There is a steam room, sauna, two gym rooms and a small pool. The only problem when we stayed was that the sauna did not work, but it was fixed and worked on the second day.

Hotels location was brilliant. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and sorted out any issues we had. Would recommend to all.

The only issue we had was that the climate control in the room didn't work. Oslo was having a heatwave, and this meant our room got very warm. They did supply a fan. The rest of the hotel was cool.

Room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Breakfast buffet was good. Location is excellent. Staff was very friendly at all times and competently accommodated all our requests. Elevator system is really clever and efficient.

The relax area really needs some work. Sauna was broken. The ceiling of the stream bath is in dire need of repairs. Pool temperature would have been adequate for a sports pool, but much too cold to just hang out in.

Outstanding breakfast and steam room. But the sauna was not working through out the 3 night stay.

We booked a larger room with a queen and twin beds thru booking.com. But Clarion staff claimed we booked a standard double and it was booking.com who did not transmit the rooms' specific to them. We paid us $150 more for 3 nights versus a friend who booked a double standard room. We had the same size as theirs. We asked booking.com to refund for the smaller room but no response. I think this is Clarion Hotel issue not giving us the specific room we booked because they were very full. We didn't have this sort of issue with booking.com before. Still booking.com should resolve this issue with Clarion and refund us. otherwise there's no incentive to book better rooms with booking.com

Good, well-located hotel however you do hear the trains going by even on a high floor (10). They stop at around midnight so it is not all night. Bkfst buffet is huge and good. Coffee is not hot, but lukewarm warm, even when ordering from the coffee bar. Location and very comfortable beds are the reason to book this hotel.

This nhotel was larger than I thought and extremely busy. Whilst the amenities are probably what I paid for, I found the room a bit on the small side.

Elevator a bit confusing and crowded

The food quality and variety at breakfast was incredible and staff were fantastic. The location is perfect. The stations on each level for fresh drinking water were nice to have. The look of the bedroom and access to streaming channels.

The sauna wasn’t working which was one of the reasons why we booked the hotel. The ceiling of the steam room needs an update. One of us likes to drink tea, the other likes to drink coffee, it would be easier to have a kettle in the room as it was difficult to get rid of the coffee taste from the machine in the room despite cleaning it. Only minor details that wouldn’t put us off staying again.

In our room something had not been cleaned properly in the fridge and it smelled very very bad! Check-in is 4pm and check-out 11am which is only 19 hours for a 1 night stay. We could only check in very late (due to an event) after midnight and when requested a late check-out of 1 hour they were not able to accommodate it which was a little disappointing.

The best hotel gym I have experienced. Bed and pillows comfortable. Nespresso machine but no way of making tea and decaf capsules unavailable. Excellent breakfast

I tried to confirm a twin room booking on 3 occasions but hotel stated it depended on availability- never had this problem before. When I arrived with adult son we were eventually given a triple room so he had a fold up bed- two twin beds would have been better. Loud pop blaring in reception could be heard outside on pavement and made the rooftop terrace unusable for us.

The overall experience was fantastic. Staff, food, Location and basic amenities are top notch!

The room was too small, no window to open with a view of the concrete center of the building. There was no proper closet, drawers or any place to store our clothes so had to live out of our suitcases for the entire time which wasn’t convenient.

Solveig at reception was fantastic! She was friendly, professional and quick to resolve an issue I had with the room on arrival. As a solo traveller, I felt safe and well taken care of. The location is central, the breakfast buffet was excellent and the breakfast staff were very professional too. A great overall experience!

There were some cleaning oversights at check-in. Two used wine glasses and an opened bottle were left in the room. Also, the breakfast area floors felt sticky on two mornings, which affected the otherwise pleasant experience.

Lovely staff, amazing selection at breakfast. Perfect location so near the train station.

Pool and gym was very small but adequate as not busy during our stay.

The hotel is well located and has good facilities. The rooms are a little drab and could be upgraded.

Rooms are fading. The restaurant was expensive but not extreme but the wine prices were extremely high.

We got an upgrade! That aside, it has a couple of great bars, an excellent breakfast, terrific location, and a splendid view from the penthouse.

When I arrived, the lobby was completely empty, not a single staff in sight. Had to do self check in and get the information about the hotel myself. The pool is laughable at best (just a tiny circle). The showers and wardrobe for the pool smelled like rancid piss.

I stayed for one night in a duplex twin room. The location is very convenient, close to Oslo Central Station, which makes it easy to get around the city. The breakfast was perfect and offered a wide variety of options. The staff during breakfast were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, but it definitely needed more lighting at night. Overall, it’s a really nice place to stay – I’d happily come back

*hotel is "too big" _ probably the largest in NOR *quite crowded at breakfast, which is excellent, but crowded, mainly seems to be their guests passengers waiting for cruise ships or group trips (older guests) *cleanliness of the corridors _ I think they should replace the coverings with better quality (textil carpet tiles) ones that would be easier to clean, considering the frequency ... *cooling/ventilation regulation in rooms needs to be improved

Very centrally located, a few minutes' walk from the main rail station (so no need for the ridiculously expensive taxis!). Staff are excellent: well-trained, informative and very helpful. Reasonable selection of bar meals in pleasant surroundings. The standout feature is the breakfast: a fabulous selection of every conceivable item and with 'a cook-to-order counter.

The 'superior' room was still quite basic and minimalist. Breakfast starts at 07.00 which is too late for many travellers: we had to rush ours in order to catch a train!
