Scandic Holmenkollen Park, Oslo

We will miss waffles for many years to come! Beautiful complex. Good expresso. There is a one more big separate space for breakfast, very private - I think for people from the part where there are apartments or sth. We had a surbooking and were offered a different room, we had to go to the reception twice because of this, but in the end the reception accepted our suggestions, which was a great plus. Thank You. We had good time there.

During breakfast (around 9-10h), cleaning woman cleaned the large entrance mat using a vacuum cleaner for 30 minutes. This can be done after breakfast at 11 a.m :/ We were there during Easter and the sauna and swimming pool were closed throughout this period - there was no information about this when making the reservation.

Stunning view of Oslo and the fjords from the hotel, totally worth the stay, even more if you book a room with a view. We had a spacious, beautiful and clean room, with a breathtaking view. The bed and pillows were incredibly soft and comfortable, had a great and relaxed sleep. Fabulous breakfast, best I have had in hotels, plenty choices and freshly made varieties on the spot. The surrounding nature is breathtaking.Very friendly staff. Next to ski jump tower, don’t miss the chance at least to have a look at this great place.

We booked this hotel not only for the beautiful room with great view, but also for the facilities it offers. We had the bad luck that during our two-nights stay the hotel had ongoing renovations, without previous notice. The first night we could not have a drink at the amazing bar with view because it was closed the very noisy works continued until midnight, making it impossible to even have a drink at the other bar on the second floor. The next morning the whole bar space was closed and one of the restaurants as well. We had to re-arrange our plans for dinner and went to the city center, and actually it turned out much better - thank you Scandic :) We understand that they need to make improvements and renovations, as well as the fact that there is never a good time to do this, but it would have been nice to have a previous notice in order to make arrangements.

The view here is absolutely stunning and it's amazing to be able to see it from your hotel room! Additionally, my husband and I arrived early from our ferry and were thankfully allowed by the staff to check in early. During our entire trip, the staff was nothing but kind and courteous.

If you are arriving by public transportation, be prepared for quite a walk uphill. The hotel is much easier to access by car otherwise.

Such a beautiful hotel with fascinating design. The old and new created a rich history. The location above the city and the fjord was stunning. We had a great room and it was a nice 0.5 mile walk to the T-bann (tram) that took you down the 1,000 vertical feet next to the Olympic Ski Jump to the city center below. Easy parking in the packing levels below.

This comment is true to almost all of Europe ... the large thick comforters are hard to regulate given the rooms often are hard to manage the heat. An open window doesn't always work.

The spa is not free for guests and unluckily underground. I was surprised because they ask you to wear a swimwear for sauna, which is not good for hygiene.

Close to ski attractions. Amazing panoramic views. Very good breakfast. Clean and spacious bathroom and room. Equipped with hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Unforgettable nice smell of cosmetics in bathroom, seems like a good quality products.

Was very dirty under bed sofa. Spa is closed on Sunday and opening hours are shorter for my taste. There’s no slippers.

It was a lovely hotel and our room was very cosy.

The only thing that we didn’t notice until we arrived was that the pool didn’t allow under 16 year olds and you had to pay extra

Beautiful building and very stylish. Room was nice. 8 minutes walk to the metro. Included breakfast buffet was great.

Food a little pricey but so is most of Norway in general. Children not allowed in the pool at any time.

Everything! We booked a night stay for our girls trip and the hotel was breathtakingly beautiful. We arrived early and the receptionist allowed early check in without any charges! Had the most lovely room, it was spacious, the toilet was super big, super clean! The brekfast buffet was cheap and super generous! It was the best european breakfast buffet spread we had been on!

We stayed at this hotel for the second time because we enjoyed it so much on our first visit. The location in Holmenkollen is fantastic, offering stunning views over the Oslofjord and easy access to hiking and skiing. We also loved spending time in the hotel’s spa. One of the highlights for us was the food. Even though it was a buffet, which we were initially a bit sceptical about, we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was fresh, delicious, and stylishly presented. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Our room was spacious, modern, and spotless, with very comfortable beds. On our last day, we had an early morning flight, and the hotel kindly prepared a breakfast to go for us in advance. We really appreciated this thoughtful gesture.

Towards the end of our stay, the room felt a bit cold, and we weren’t able to adjust the temperature.

Very nice hotel recently renovated with all confort needed. It is a bit away from the metro station but it is nevertheless ok with a beautifull view on Oslo especially for the 31/12 at midnight !

Parking price is a bit high but it is common in norway

Pool access is charged for and kids have no access to pool - could easily had a two hour kids window per day and paying extra for the pool comes across incredibly cheap

2x lamps didn’t work

Hotel is conveniently located on a hillside overlooking the Oslo city, so you get to see the beautiful sunrise and sunset over the sea and city. The hotel is beautifully renovated, seamlessly merging tradition with modern style. Room was spacious and clean, lots of fresh towels were provided. There is a ski jumping centre - one of Oslo's main attractions - located just few meters from the hotel - great for sightseeing.

The hotel parking is not free, in fact it is quite expensive, which is something you should expect when traveling there.

Breakfast was excellent and had many really healthy options and also Norwegian specialities. Excellent and very modern gym facilities.

Soundproofing was not that good. The spa wasn't open during my stay and that was a disappointment.

The double bed is just that: 2 beds, and I slipped between them when I woke up. Room was a little small.

Height difference is high, after walking up and down few days your legs will be sore. Recommend to rent a small car. Place has e-scooters, but they have strict perimeters. Covering small areas here and there. Room cleaning lagged for us the whole trip.

The restaurant was wonderful and the manager or at least the person in charge of it was fantastic. That was the best meal that we had in all of norway. We had great food everywhere but that was our number one

They're always needs to be a telephone in the room. Also the light switches are hard to figure out. For three people it was a very tight squeeze.
