The location was good.

The room was too small

Location; ride from JFK airport made us feel like princesses; free coffee (even though was bad, but we really need caffeine) and water; common area; clean towels and beds made every day.

Dust in the room, mostly in the carpet and windows; noise from other rooms; loud heating system; bathroom with no ventilation; limited storage room. We stayed for 12 nights in NYC and that was too much for such a small room, even if this was the best priced place we could find in Manhattan.

My sister and I stayed at Pod 39 for 6 nights during our trip to NYC. This was our first trip to New York and it was a fantastic location. As two girls in our twenties, it was a very safe and great location. We were on the 15th floor and the view was amazing!! It is a little expensive, but it was to be expected due to the location and the time of the year we went (November). The rooms are small (hence the word “pod”!), but has everything you could need! They are very clean with a comfy bed, heating and AC, space for your luggage/clothes and a great functioning bathroom, with hot water. The ice machine on our floor was a great touch, a water machine would have been fab. The staff were super friendly and answered any question we had. Would definitely recommend!

Nothing I didn’t like! The rooms would benefit from a bit cleaner/softer interior as the steel doors were quite a harsh look. A water machine on the floor would have also been great.

The bunk rooms were much smaller than expected. Stayed at the Pod location in time square before and those were more spacious. But overall it was nice.

Really exactly what you would expect, in a good way. Basic but very central, very lively and extremely clean.

The rooms are pretty snug, but that’s New York, so no worries. The heavy metal doors were pretty loud with people coming and going at all hours, but just takes a little getting used to. In general, the room was reasonably quiet.

Great location and staff. Very nice bar with free tea and coffee in the morning. Free pool table and table tennis too.

Rooms are very small but well designed and functional, apart from the light above the bed which I kept hitting my head on.

One of the reasons we booked the hotel was the right terrace. We weren’t informed it was actually closed during our stay. Otherwise we would have booked elsewhere. Also the rooms are way too small. We could barely move around in them. This needs to be more explicit in the room descriptions.

Amazing location! Walking distance to Grand Central St, lots of restaurants nearby. Super clean and quiet at night to sleep. Bathroom nice and bright with double windows.

Bottom bunk bed is quite low to the ground, more than I expected.

The location was excellent – within walking distance to many attractions. The room was clean and I appreciated that the housekeeping staff provided fresh towels daily.

While I enjoyed my stay, be aware that the rooms are very small – almost claustrophobic. Additionally, the bathroom has glass walls, meaning you can see everything, so you need to be comfortable with your travel companion as there is little privacy

- Great location: walking distance from Central Station, Empire State Building. Chrysler Tower - Many restaurants and coffees all around - The room was truly sound proof

- The room was a bit small - The bed was a bit tiny( I am 6'2")

Perfect location for exploring the city. Reception team was very helpful and friendly. Room was cleaned every day and towels were renewed.

It was clean and tidy, however space was really limited. I could not fit my 25 kg luggage anywhere but on the bad when I wanted to open it.

Fantastic location, close to Grand Central for Subway connections and all manner of different amenities in the local area. Rooms were clean and serviced every day.

The rooms were very small. Appreciated in advance that they were bunkbeds but very little room to move in and out of the room.

Location is great and for pricy Manhattan it’s still more or less affordable. Staff is friendly and there is free tea and coffee in the morning. Have been staying at Pod51 before which would be my recommendation.

Yet mattresses are worn out and not comfy anymore. Stayed for a week and got a room in which the bed was blocking the lids so that you couldn’t open the window. So it’s almost no light and no fresh air. Pretty horrible. Luckily we were allowed to change rooms the following night, which was nice. Wouldn’t have accepted to stay in the first room for the whole time for 2k a week

The room was superb! The location was great just couple block from grand central and walking distance to half of Manhattan. The staff was also very friendly! Will certainly visit again next time I'm in New York.

Despite the hotel being great I feel like the value for money could've been better, although this might be partially said of the whole city so hard to blame the hotel.
