Wombat’s City Hostel, Munich

There was a great communal area, the kitchen was good and the rooms were spacious. Two good supermarkets near by, train station 2 mins away and a 15 minute walk onto the main square.

. Free locker facility in rooms. A good bar with happy hours.

Bathroom is very small and congested.

The location was incredibly close to the train station, and the kitchen was great. We had a shower and toilet in our room (4 share female) which was nice. There’s a bar with a pool table and an area for general relaxing/chilling.

Not much to not like a this property, it was all great.

The location is perfect,accessible to the main attractions, to the central train station & bus station. The hot shower is good & room is warm as the weather outside is too cold for now. Only the floor in the room is dirty but is due to the dorm mate who wear the shoe walking around. Hair dryer is provided with no charge,this is helpful. The common area is nice & cosy.

Nothing except for the outside of property there is too many construction on going so is a bit disturbing.

Good breakfast, & the hostel was helpful to change my room - as the 1st one was smelly. Excellent location!

Nice kitchen, close to the station, friendly staff

It felt fairly old and dingy. It was not as up to date as other wombat hostels. The rooms were not particularly comfortable.

The place was amazing. Clean. Modern. A few steps away from the main station.

With the property everything was fine. I chose a mix 8- room. My bunk bed neighbor was terrible. He left the area smelling like Indian seasoning but rotten. Was using his laptop all night and fell asleep while the laptop still on and snored the whole time really loud. He woke up like 2-3 am and was moving around and god knows what else making the bunk bed make a crack sound every couple of minutes until I checked in my phone that it was 4am. Then I made a strong sound and he was then still for a while. Until 6-7 am that he started using his laptop and moving again. Worse neighbor ever. The only reason I slept bad in that good place. He polluted the air the whole night and made impossible to sleep quite (and I had ear plugs) with the wood bunk bed cracking sound.

The hotel offers a super convenient location with easy access to and from the main train station.

The staff is friendly and helpful, especially the girl on the reception, that I forgot the name. The good part was the laundry service, very easy to use and the extra bathrooms with showers, outside of the rooms.

Beds could have curtains, for more privacy.

The lication was amzing, everything is in a walk able distance. It's near the station so you can take any direction you want. The was good, very welcoming and friendly. One of the rooms was okay in size, the second one was good size.

Straring from linen, it's like a self service situation. You need to put on and take out your linens yourself. Also linen was either quite used up or not very clean, I could not determine that. There were no towels in the room, you could rent it in the reception, but again, you had to bring them back to the reception yourself to get the new one. That was weird. The room itself was okay, it was okay size, okay clean etc. The bathroom was tiny, we could bearly fit in the shower. Also it was completely empty, other then toilet paper, there was no towel, no shampoo, no hairdryer, nothing. The bunk beds were not very comfortable but it was okay as wel.

Maybe the pillow could’ve been a little fuller! But I won’t hold it against them. Just fold it in half :)

Dorm was spacious and breakfast was outstanding. The atrium was cheerful and a first in my hostelling experience. Professionally laundered linens.

Lounge area was totally uncomfortable. I did not like the kitchen or bar stools and there was only one table and four chairs for a huge hostel. The lumpy pillow.

I had stayed previously in Euro hostel. The experience in Euro hostel was a little better. If Euro hostel has a rating of 8 then Wombat hostel deserves 7.

The place of the hostel in the heart of the city centre and near all the sightseeing besides the vibes are excellent, especially the bar.

The room needs to be wider

Super close to HBF and the city centre makes this a perfect spot to stay. Nice and clean.

Just a couple of minutes walk from the main station Bunk beds were squeaky, and I kept waking up every time the person below moved. 🥲

-It is just a 5-10min walking distance from Munchen Hbf & other transport system like tram. It is also 15-20min away from the Christmas Market & other tourist attraction. -The girl staff who checked me in was very approachable & very nice, I am very grateful to her. I requested if its possible to be trasferred to a room with lady guests was a majority. -The whole place was tourist friendly, they have a bulletin/wall suggesting the guests where to visit & what to try in the City. -The common room is big & clean. The kitchen is clean, they even have free biscuits in it. The room I went into was clean and spacious for 6beds, & has a table & chairs, & a private rest room. Make sure its ok for you to be mixed with opposite gender. -Also, you can be sure you’re using clean bed linens, as they instruct every guest to put their used linens in the designated cart upon check-out.

There was a guy at the evening shift-not so impressed with him. I didn’t know whether a towel was to be rented, so when I requested he answered sarcastically that I should have rented it before hand, sounds like I’m stupid (it’s my 1st time travelling as a bedspacer), he could’ve been more patient/hospitable. Or maybe, he just had a bad day, I dunno. But overall my stay was satisfactory. Highly recommended to friends who wants convenience & practical stay in Munchen, Germany.

There were 3 steps stairs before you reached the elevator. If you're carrying heavy luggage it's a bit difficult. There's no changes in the breakfast menu for 4 days straight of my stay there,you can get bored easily. The bathroom is a little small.

The kitchen isn’t open until 7-7:30 which is a problem for early risers

The common room downstairs on the ground floor is comfortable, good for working and easy to meet people. There are activities in the evenings. The location is super close to the Trains, Trams and Subway! And reception is open 24/7. The room and facilities are clean.

The mattress was a bit thin for my liking so the beds could be more comfortable. The rooms and facilities are a bit outdated so I think the value for the price is not quite even. Others might think differently but after traveling other cities and seeing hostels, that’s my opinion.

This location overall was good. The hostel stay was overpriced due to Oktoberfest but that’s something you can’t really avoid. The hostel was clean and safe, the staff was friendly. Laundry facilities worked well and as described.

Hostel charges you for towels and bedsheets: if you’re spending over 5,000€ for a six person room for 5 days, it feels stingy to charge for towels.

Small breakfast selection, no eggs or sparkling water. Had many people come in and out of room during stay, made it hard to get good sleep. No curtain for bed. Bring a towel if you decide to bathe.

It's close to the city center. It was quiet at night. You can leave your luggage for some hours if your journey continues later and you are already checked out. The lockers.

The girl that attented me when I arrived at night was not very kind but seemed kind o annoyed by the fact that there where guests coming. The staff the other was very nice though. The showers - No space to put your things.

Free towel would be great.

Each night people came crashing in between 1-4 AM in the roomand. I suggest just having a room where all people after a certain hour must go and then they can be moved to their longer stay room. This helps the other customers sleep while people come in at all hours.
