Hotel Cocoon Sendlinger Tor, Munich

Fantastic location just a short walk from the city centre, underground parking was really easy to use. Excellent staff very helpful and welcoming. Bar restaurant downstairs was lovely had a great modern vibe in the evening and great music, but not too loud to not be able to talk.

Rooms a little small, the clue is in the name of the hotel. I think many had unique features, for one of ours it was possibly the smallest toilet in the world. Not enough of a wart to put us off but I suspect claustrophobics should ensure they get a room with a bigger loo.

It was very clean and new with very good stuff. Very nice design in the rooms and good location.

They seem to charge you about everything that is extra. For example the locker room for luggage which is normally for free in other hotels was 4 euro. One coffee from the bar was 3,60. The early check in is 15 euro. The parking is 20 euro. This might be normal in Germany but not in other countries.

The room was inviting and cozy, with plush bedding and soft lighting. Its location was ideal, situated in the heart of the city and within walking distance of all the major attractions and amenities.

Room lighting was too dim. Staff were too 'cool'. 4eu for 2 hours of luggage storage was irritating.

Beautiful and cozy hotel in the middle of bustling Munich. Rooms are great as well as showers!

Staff: I had to wait almost one hour for the staff to show up and do my checkout. The hotel “staff” is in the middle of bar/restaurant and are not usually there.

Exceptional hotel, nice and modern, with a nice bar. Prices are very reasonable.

It's advertised that the hotel offers car parking, actually, it doesn't, just on-the-street parking, that's always full. The one that the hotel offers, you need to pay extra, around 20EUR a day. It was full when I arrived, and had to park 2km away.

The rooms are really beautiful, just like the lobby and restaurant. Location is also nice, a 5 min walk to the nearest U bahn. In 8 mins walking, you’re in the city centre.

There was an unpleasant smell (sewage-ish) when I entered the room. After a shower it was gone!

We checked in automatically and wasn’t told we needed cards for breakfast or about the water.

Room is modern, clean and cozy. Super cool "bird sound" ambiance in the hall, transports you to a rainforest ;)

The hotel itself has a nice design.

The parking was full when we arrived .We had to park on the street and pay by coins. Of course no coins were available and the hotel wasn't able to help us with change due to "no cash" policy. I chose this hotel because of the parking and we've lost more than an hour trying to solve the issue. The next day there was parking available in the hotel's garage with 21 euro. My colleagues couldn't sleep the first night due to a banging door over their room. There was nobody at the reception to help. The next day they checked and somebody left a door open, they changed the room upon request and said that they will have a drink on the house for a lost night of sleep :(. Nobody drank anything, that was not the point. Even though, when we checked out, one of my colleagues that had the door issue wanted a coffee to go. The hotel charged it 4 euro. :( Sad way to approach your clients.

Property is unique and maintained well

A great location. Close enough to walk to most of the sights and attractions, and close to public transport links if you prefer not to walk. The rooms are pleasant to be in and the bar area has a nice ambience. The staff were always friendly. We had a couple of issues while we were there and they were dealt with efficiently and with good humour.

The toilet was a very small room. You could easily feel claustrophobic in there and if you have long legs would struggle to fit between the toilet and the door. The app they encourage you to use to request cleaning or replacement soap etc seemed to work, but the requests were never met.

Very convenient location, clean rooms and nice bar downstairs to relax in after a day in Munich. Would definitely stay again if we are back in Munich.

Parking wasn’t available the first night of our stay so we had to find street parking which was a little inconvenient, but there was a spot available in the garage our 2nd night.

Very friendly and welcoming. Room was cosy and comfortable.

No tea/Coffee facilities in the room

The hotel is very conveniently located; we reached the center on foot in a quarter of an hour. Nearby there is a metro station and a tram stop. Excellent original and very thoughtful design. Excellent breakfast, very varied and filling. One of the best we have encountered on numerous trips. But the main advantage of the hotel is the very friendly and hospitable staff, always ready to help.
