Hotel Cocoon Sendlinger Tor, Munich

So stylish and comfortable! Room was not very big, but so cleverly planned, it was perfect. Staff is amazing, clean, everything was great. So happy with the decision to stay there! And great vibes in the common area too

Nice vibe cool place, check in from the bar staff downstairs. Room is clean and modern, very quiet, nice safe neighborhood area, fun swing chair. Amazing rain shower, although one has to walk past the glass box shower to get to toilet room, which is cool/slightly inconvenient for families. Can be covered on one side w curtain. Sofa sleeps a third person. Nearby there is tram station or ubahn station (that we know of.)

Location and infrastructure is good.

You usually run out of basic hygiene utilities in the room everyday, like soap, shampoo, toilet paper etc.

I loved the interior of the hotel. Everything had such a lovely vibe. Even though our room was a bit smaller it was furnished very nicely and the bed was super comfortable.

Sometimes one could hear the tram passing by pretty loudly.

The interior design in the hotel is very nice. Our room was very nice. The third bed is adequate for kids but on the small side for adults. Location is great. City canter is 15 min walk. So is Deutsche museum. Breakfast is OK.

There's no bad thing to say about this hotel

The staff were great and ever ready to help. The room was a good size, including a dishwasher and a washing machine.

The lighting was too dim due to energy saving measures. No Internet connection to the TV, so couldn't use YouTube or Netflix.

The hotel offered easy access to public transportation. Also it was really nice that water and fresh fruits were available every day free

Some room amenities could be improved. For example tea or instant coffee could be available in the room.

The staff was very accomplished and very friendly. The room is small but modern with with great shower! Very nice breakfast too.

The room seems much smaller than deceived and the way to the room was long and winded and the nearby lift didn’t work which made it difficult with packing and unpacking. The car park is very convenient but considering the location little overpriced!

Everything about the hotel was absolutely wonderful — from the welcoming staff at check-in to the amazing breakfast. Honestly, I’ve stayed at 5-star hotels where the breakfast wasn’t this delicious. The room was surprisingly comfortable because of its compact size, fascinating lighting, cozy bed, and excellent soundproofing. The hotel is perfectly located, and I will definitely try to stay here again on my next visit to Munich.

Loved this hotel more than any I have ever stayed in!!!

Room is VERY comfortable. I booked the cheapest one, so it was small-ish in space, but it’s so well designed that it doesn’t feel tight. From the photos, I really was not expecting the room to be so greatly designed. Bed is amazing, shower is incredible and breakfast (which you can choose to pay for without booking, day by day) is very good. The pinsa bar downstairs is cool and serves amazing drinks (with a nice happy hour discount). Location-wise, it’s very walkable to Marienplatz and even closer to hype restaurants and bars in the Glockenbachviertel neighborhood.

The small toilet

Very nice & cozy hotel. Although the rooms are small you have everything you need. The staff was very nice. There is a nice lobby/bar area where you can drink a cocktail & eat a pinsa - it’s always lively. Breakfast was also good. The hotel is in a nice area with many restaurants & cafes around; it takes 20 min walking to get to city center

We liked everything.

Well-situated in a charming neighbourhood close to interesting attractions. The hotel is an acceptable 20-min walk from the main train station and close to transit. The Old Town attractions are easily reached by foot via Sedlinger Tor. The hotel is modern, well-designed and their attention to detail is apparent. Complimentary water and fruits are provided at the bar, a whimsical common space, which opens up to a courtyard garden. The self check-in and out was simple and straightforward.

Our travel group really appreciated the spacious room upgrade and genuinely enjoyed our stay. However, we noticed a few minor things that could be improved. There was a lack of lighting in the suite, possibly due to dimmer lightbulbs, which made for darker evenings. The plants were a thoughtful addition, but a bit neglected, which attracted some tiny flies. There was no toilet roll holder and no hooks in the bathroom for hanging, which was slightly inconvenient.

Open bath concept. It's just not my favorite. The ventilation in the shower can not be turned off and is noisy.

Our room was spacious, comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing, tasty, pastries were freshly baked.

The room was a bit cold for us and no cutleries in the room, although we could get them from downstairs. So, the only issue was that room is a bit cold

Breakfast was substantial in options. Locations was walking distance from main sights. Hotel staff kindly upgraded our room.

The room was enough big and very clean. The staff was very helpful and hospitable. I’ve read some negative comments about self check-in but it was smooth. Breakfast was perfect and delicious.

Fan in the toilette was working day and night. You have to keep the door closed but if you are sensitive to noise, you have a chance to completely cancel it. The rooms were a bit cold. Even though the thermometer in the room shows that it’s 25-26, it was around 23.

Excellent location, 20 min walk into the old town, or 5 min walk to nearest UBahn station.

The hotel is very nice, with a wild/nature decoration. The corridors have the sounds of birds and it's really nice. The location is great, you are at 10-15min from the center and you have a lot of transportation around. The bed was very big and comfortable, the shower works very well and the staff is all friendly. The bar has good options to eat.

The rooms aren't very big and don't have much storage for luggage and clothes so if you have a lot of it probably isn't the best option. The A/C does some noise. There is no food, kettle or anything in the room. The room is basically the WC, Shower and lavatory in the entry, the bed after separated with a curtain a bed, TV and a little bench in the window. There was also some work in the building so the view was to the scaffolding.
