Cortiina Hotel, Munich

The property is very convenient to Marienplatz, but at night it’s still very quiet.

Charming old world European boutique hotel, fantastic location, lovely staff who were tremendously helpful

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the center. The air-conditioning is good. The rooms are of a good size with a fridge (at least in the main building), but placed in an awkward place to access. The room was well-equipped. One can ask for a hot-water kettle from the reception. Breakfast is wonderful and esthetic. (One note : The chef sprinkles green onion on almost everything, which was problematic for my wife's allergy.) Service at reception was fantastic and extremely helpful, as good as in a 5-star hotel.

The hotel has a new annex where we got our first room. We couldn't breath in the room because of the straw carpet, so we got a replacement room in the main building, The beds in the hotel are a catastrophe with a mattress of only 15 cm. You may ask the hotel for a "topper" that improves the bed a bit. For a couple, if one moves than the other feels it in the mattress. The window curtains don't stop the light very good, so the advice is not to get a street-side room. The bathroom equipment is rather basic. It shares strangely enough a large glass wall with the room which is closed with sliding doors that don't however do a perfect job. The shower is a cheap model, and the sink always has water left at the bottom.

Bar was nice and happening; pricing is steep, but that is Munich city for you. Staff is Forbes 5* :) Very personalized service- top notch!

While the bathroom door look very stylish and Zen, they do not provide a noise barrier which can be a bit annoying when trying to sleep while your partner is taking a shower or getting ready.

Great room and location

When checked in , got allocated room which was first floor overlooking the busy street. It took a little effort to get this changed but eventually changed room after one night. New room perfect

The staff was so amazing. The hotel was comfortable- a bit quirky and the double room was very small but my deluxe room was great.

Room lay out quirky- but I guess that's the charm. The bathroom door was right near the bed and awkward. The gym had no AC :(

The location was perfect for restaurants and museums and sites!

The breakfast was awesome and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the stocked minibar and the service was incredible. I would definitely stay here again.

I didn’t like that you could open the cabinet doors to see into the bathroom and the bathroom door didn’t lock. It wasn’t a big deal since it was just me and my husband in the room, but I prefer more privacy.

Location was perfect right in the middle of the old town area. The rooms are of good size and tastefully done.

They said they cannot give us an extra bed for child in one of our two rooms (which at the time of booking was not disclosed).

The location was excellent to walk to everything we wanted to see and restaurants everywhere. The hotel is upscale and chic. The staff here were friendly and never let you walk by without a greeting and offering assistance

Hallways are almost too dark to see to put your key in the door. Breakfast is expensive for more than a couple nights $35 euros

Perfect location in old town Munich. Would definitely stay there again! Clean, modern, good restaurant and wine bar. Within easy walking distance of many sights, restaurants, and things to do. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Showed us everything in the rooms and how to use them. Gave us excellent directions. Took the train to the airport... very easy to do and a lot less expensive than the taxi we used to get to the hotel (taxi accepted cash only and cost us 120 euros with gratuity included.

Breakfast buffet was exceptional but very expensive. 37 euros

Location, Service

It’s hard to imagine a hotel and a better location in the centre of historic Munich. It is surrounded by numerous restaurants ranging from local Baver cuisine to several other cultures.

Everything is perfect!!! Location, breakfast, manner of staff, cleanness, delicacy, safety, etc… I want to have interview with cortina’s CEO, who has created this perfectness…

If possible in the near future, there will be sauna, i hope so…

The Service was excellent, the breakfast was a nice surprise it was delicious and worthy of a 5 star rating, breakfast personell was very friendly, location is great.

Pillows were to thin in our opinion . Downtown means a little of a hassle if you arrive by car.

We got upgraded to a very nice room. Very spacious and perfect location. There was an error on my invoice that I only realized when I got home. I contacted the hotel and they credited me for the overcharge immediately. Great service. This will be our go-to hotel if we need to stay in the center of Munich.

It would have been nice if they had a sauna, but it is really not the end of the world.

Service was excellent, facilities were great, location could not be better. Great value for money for rooms of that size in such a central location. German food could be a challenge for our small children, we werw able to use the kitchette in our room to make dinner for them.

Bed was uncomfortable and sagged on the first night. This was replaced for us when requested for the second night.

Beds are not great, latts under mattress keep falling out and they are two singles joined together. Also there is no lounge other than the breakfast room which was in fairness comfortable but not exactly a lounge to relax.

Very central. Polished service for everyone. Well stocked gym. Elegant rooms. Fantastic wine & champagne list in the bar, with sommeliers who really knew their stuff.

Layout of room on this trip was a bit odd, desk crushed in & bathroom small. Other rooms I have stayed in are much more orthodox.

Excellent design embracing the town's atmosphere! The staff is always there to assist 24/7!

If you are looking for a smaller more personable boutique hotel, this is it. Breakfast delicious. Staff very professional and friendly. You are in the heart of the city. The room was very well proportioned and tasteful. Bed very comfortable.

The breakfast is really superb. Staff were very helpful, attentive at reception also.

We couldn't open the windows as there was a party going on on the courtyard. We've had this before - there is a bar or late restaurant in the courtyard.

This is an excellent hotel, ideally located in the heart of the city. Rooms are modern and comfortable, staff friendly and professional. I strongly recommend staying at this hotel!

Everything was perfect.

Good location with restaurants, cafes, pubs and supermarket within a short walking distance. Not far from Marienplatz metro station. It is not noisy at night and you can enjoy a peaceful rest. The staffs are amazing and helpful!

The pillows need to be changed, way too soft and it doesn't provide any support to the neck at all.

Right in the city centre, next to Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt. Walking distance to everywhere. I chose the hotel also because of the gym, and the gym was just excellent: small (as hotel gyms always are) but so well equipped!

Hotel breakfast a bit expensive but you have so many really nice breakfast cafes next to the hotel that it is not a problem at all. And who wants the same breakfast every morning anyway?

from car arrival with smiles and exceptional front desk service (particularly by Melina who happily went beyond expectations with her recommendations) to the outstanding breakfast buffet showcasing 5-star dishes, everything was excellent and we would unquestionably return - particularly around Christmas as the major Christmas Market begins practically around the corner
