Great location and friendly staff. The room was really modern and comfortable.

(Superior king room ) cosy elegant lovely mood set lighting.. the comfiest bed ive ever stayed in absolutely PERRRFECTTT and extra special add ons for special touch...

Confusion over the price off add ons...night staff member at reception wasn't that polite or approachable quite moody and ignorant wasn't interested made no eye contact when enquiring about the Confusion..tried again the next morning with morning staff lovely approachable and lots of eye contact on reception Confusion cleared up and immediate refund given so was very happy with the outcome the following morning

Really loved the warm welcome from reception staff and also the friendly helpful service at check-out too. The breakfast in bed option is a very nice touch and the food was great! Bedroom, bathroom and balcony were all beautiful and very comfortable. Will definitely be choosing Velvet from now on when we are in Manchester.

Took me ages to work out that the coffee machine needs to be filled using the pull-out drawer. Would have been useful to have some instructions.

Bit of noise from outside but that's expected if you stay on canal Street. Didn't affect our stay.

Stunning hotel, beautiful interiors. The staff when checking in and when checking out were lovely and the free fizz on arrival was an added bonus. 10 minute walk to Oxford Street and about 15 mins to Deansgate so and ideal location. Will 100% stay here again if visiting Manchester.

Under rated!! Beautiful hotel, having previously stayed at high end hotels in Manchester like Dakota, the Velvet hotel tops my expectations and is very reasonably priced. The rooms are unique and beautifully designed. A true “boutique” hotel.

Nothing to fault, other than a pricey mini fridge/snacks. But even then I can’t complain due to the extensive variety of snack available!

Seen a few bad reviews on here about noise however we didn’t find it was a problem. It was a Really good location with good nightlife, staff in the bar was so lovely gave us recommendations on where to go later on in the evening which was really helpful and made amazing cocktails too. Hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable and we had a nice view of the canal from our room.

- The bedroom was very crammed and small felt like there wasn’t much space - The bathroom door was see through from the bedroom which wouldn’t be very suitable for some people as you can see everything going on in there - Staff in reception was helpful however we found they tended to a family that they knew while we had been waiting for a while to check in - wouldn’t bother wasting my money on a romantic arrival again, it was just 4 small chocolates, rose petals and a balloon for £35

Lovely hotel, in the heart of Canal Street. Nearby to bars & clubs, just a short walk to Manchester Piccadilly Station.

The reservation and reception team were excellent helping with the selection of the room (201), warm friendly check in and the surprise of chocolates and rose petals. The room felt luxurious, seductive and warm with the dark grey interior, beautiful bed linen and the most amazing large comfy bed. Definitely will stay again.

The room was beautifully decorated, with a comfy bed and huge bath tub. The staff were also excellent throughout the stay, it was a very warm and friendly service. And, of course, the location is perfect for exploring the city! Would definitely recommend.

The location was perfect in the centre of the nightlife but no noise and the beds were so comfortable

The mini bar prices we’re really expensive and the tv wouldn’t work properly and there were a few hairs still in the shower
