The Lowry Hotel, Manchester

On a cold day, the heating in the room took a long time to increase.

Room was fantastic. car parking available was easy access, beds were incredibly comfy, staff were attentive but not intrusive, room was spotless, breakfast was incredible. We will be back

Location, although it would have been appreciated if we were informed in advance that the bridge was inaccessible.

Size of the rooms, advanced tech in the room. Lovely clean reception and lifts, social areas. Restaurant, breakfast all exceptional, staff lovely and helpful Dwayne and all in the food areas absolutely great, really polite and friendly especially as wife’s birthday and little boy loved everything.

Road network to the parking and hotel very busy as roadworks around, so a nightmare to travel 2 miles across Manchester in 45 mins!! Surfaces in room paintings, and few hairs in bathroom which 6 year old found when playing with his plushies from SeaLife, otherwise everything else lovely and clean and lovely views from 6th floor room

Room was spacious, bed was really comfortable. The staff I met were really helpful and friendly.

There were no free biscuits to have with my cup of tea and there was only two "everyday" tea bags.

We were initially given a room with a broken shower. Room 412, and the staff who came to see if they could fix it and realised it was broken, were suggesting turning the water off for the night or relocating us that night. We couldn't see the point of turning the water off, but that would mean that if we were to use the loo at night, we wouldn't be able to flush it. So that shouldn't have been an option to offer a guest in the first place. Eventually, we had to relocate the room to 512 in our pyjamas. That was distressful. However, on the back of that, we had a good stay. The staff were very professional, polite and knew what they were doing to make their guests comfortable. Your meals were clearly good, unlike most hotels. They felt like a good outdoor restaurant meal.

I love the Lounge Bar. I love the river setting. I love the closeness to the Shops. The staff were so professional and engaging. They offered us umbrellas for the day as a storm had hit. Love the biscuits served with the hot drinks. Everything really. The rooms are huge.

Beautiful hotel. The room was large and comfortable; the staff were all lovely and the facilities impeccable.

The room was a really good size with everything you could need, beautifully decorated and comfortable beds and pillows. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent!

The fact that the staff didn’t pay attention to detail. I ordered breakfast and specifically told them not to include mushrooms and black pudding and also ordered a fruit salad.. they brought the order with the black pudding and mushrooms and totally forgot to include the fruit salad… apart from that, everything else was great

Staff were really helpful and attentive and made sure we were very well looked after. Room was excellent and one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in!

When we arrived we felt very welcome. Check in was very easy and quick and our room was lovely and comfortable.

Room-size was the stand-out here - they are massive! Not sure if the room sizes differ on the different floors - this one was on the 1st Floor. So, perhaps the ones on the higher floors possibly with the better views arent quite as large.

Should have been offered the bill on check-out (and really should have asked for it) so I could check it, now have to wait for it to be emailed, so we shall see.

From the moment I arrived I met Claire on reception, she has only been working at the Lowry a month but she was fantastic, friendly and could not do enough for me, I thought she was exceptional. The bedroom was well appointed with great facilities and spotlessly clean with all the amenities you could want. Breakfast was quality and extensive. I am just sorry I could not stay longer, but I will be back.

Pillows were very soft and didn’t suit my husband and I While the breakfast was very good if you ordered from the menu I thought the continental breakfast could be better. Only 2 cereals and only melon , watermelon and a bowl of grapes for fresh fruit. No flavoured yogurt and on our second day the croissants and pain au chocolat were over cooked

Everything was amazing

The bed was enormous and so so comfy!! We ordered room service and it was excellent, the food was so tasty and the room service was restaurant quality! The reception area was also gorgeous and the location was perfect for city centre. We will definitely be returning.

The hotel was clean , had a nice breakfast, a cosy breakfast area , and so many options of food.The bed was nice and comfortable 👌, I like everything about The lowry is worth the price.

Excellent location, staff andcleanliness. Added extras and large rooms. Staff available to help at all times. Everyone was very friendly.

Spacious bedroom, lovely river view, staff helpful and approachable. Good selection at breakfast - we could order one hot item and had access to continental breakfast.

No hot water - this was an issue with the whole hotel. My husband checked in first and had a hot shower, but when I later tried to have a shower that evening, the water was lukewarm. Still the same in the morning, so I had reported it to reception the next morning. They informed me maintenance was looking into the issue as high priority. We only stayed for one night so it wasn’t a major issue for me but it could have been. I also think the overnight car park fee is quite expensive (£32) but this was waivered due to no access to hot water.
