Expert reviews

The Guardian review:

“Its own way this boutique hotel is doing something that feels fresh and honest, true to the Northern Quarter’s historic zest for originality. In the wider context of Manchester city centre, which lacks interesting, independent stays, it is a find.”

Telegraph review:

“This hip new addition to Manchester’s Northern Quarter knows how to treat its guests with hi-spec interiors and plenty of treats – including free prosecco and nibbles, Netflix in all rooms and milk and cookies before bed. Many original features have been retained from the former textile warehouse it occupies, too.”

We'll be back!

Absolutely lovely staff! The attention to details were a lovely touch and nothing was to much to ask for. Throughout the stay we got complementary drinks and nibbles and even breakfast to the room! The location is bang in the northern quarter so everything in regards to food and bars is a 3 mind walk max. Just an Amazing stay! We'll be spreading the word about this hotel for sure. :) This hotel is such a little hidden jem, and honestly I don't think we'll stay anywhere else if we're coming Manchester.

Stayed in a lot of places in Manchester and this is my favourite. 2nd time staying and will be back again, love it!

Amazing little touches like the free breakfast in bed and unlimited tea and coffee! Barnaby was super helpful making us feel very welcome. Couldn’t get a better location either.

Extremely helpful staff, lovey decor, cosy and modern rooms.

Lovely friendly vibe from the moment you walked in. The team were happy to take our bags to our rooms when they were ready while we explored the city and gave great advice about what to see and where to eat/drink. They also provide so many free extras which is such a breath of fresh air in today’s economy.

Not much! The corridors are a bit tight but thats definitely not a reason not to stay here!

Fabulous

The breakfast was lovely. Liked how you got to pick a time and what hot drink you wanted.

The size of the bathroom could of been bigger. I paid for a deluxe king room, was slightly disappointed.

Modern, yet keeping it vintage. Would definitely recommend to friends/family.

It was almost like a hidden gem! It is very well built and the rooms are small but cosy. The staff are very friendly too. We loved the amount of complimentary service you can receive on your stay.

Beautiful hotel. The rooms are gorgeous. Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. Great location in the Northern Quarter. Rooms are extremely comfortable and really quiet.

Room needed more power points or at least some usb sockets. WiFi was a bit sketchy.

Brilliant find, great stay, thanks for turning the AirBnB disaster to a great memory!

We have booked this hotel last minute as our AirBnB cancelled. It was a great find, we were very rushed as we were running late to a concert and the lady who checked us in was brilliant and also accommodated us in rooms close together which was really important for the kids. Really nice decor at the hotel, quirky, all the staff were helpful and pleasant, lots of free things like prosecco and nibbles late afternoon, cookies and milk at night. Rooms were small but well formed and thought through. Really enjoyed the stay.

Nothing all lovely and thoughtful.

I mentioned the noise from the bar coolers apart from that it would have been 10 for everything .

Fantastic stay let down by the cooler noise from the bar

Just the bar cooler was vibrating through to the room.

Lovely hotel, great location.

Great location. Friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere.

Room was very small but it was £99 so a total bargain for the quality and location. So for us size not an issue.
