Great location

The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel and room look stylish, professional and being across the road from Manchester Piccadilly meams its in great central location. Staff were friendly and approachable.

The location is excellent, right next to the station and only a 10-20 minute walk from the museum. The staff are very friendly. The only problem is that it's on a street, so the soundproofing isn't great, but it's perfect for a short-term stay.

The bed was very comfy, and the pillows were nice and fluffy. We loved the bar downstairs and all of the modern features. The hotel was in a nice area within walking distance to everything you need in Manchester.

We liked everything. The only downside was our room didn't have a view and just looked into a courtyard but you get what you pay for.

Clean, modern and comfortable. Central location a few minutes walk to the train station. Room had everything you need for a one night work trip away. The continental breakfast was good quality and plentiful but if you’re looking for a full English this hotel is not for you. The bar area was a nice place for a drink with comfy seating and low lighting. Check out was exceptionally fast in the morning.

Rooms are not huge but perfectly adequate for a short stay.

Bed was super comfy!

Very conveniently located near the train station. We came to Manchester to see a concert at the O2 Apollo Theatre. We were able to walk there without any problems. We also discovered Canal Street which was also within walking distance. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent.

Motel 1 was perfect for Piccadilly station, just a couple of minutes' walk. It was also a great location for getting about the city - walking, buses, trams. The breakfast was wonderful - lovely, healthy options and plentiful. Staff were exceptionally friendly. Room was very comfortable and warm (as it was freezing out).

Room was very compact so took a bit of getting used to - very little room to unpack. There was no bedside table on one side and had to improvise using a suitcase. Only one waste bin in the bathroom. Another one in the bedroom would have been useful. The TV kept pixilating which was irritating. These are only minor complaints, it was a great stay.

This hotel was surprisingly good for its central location and budget. Staff were very helpful and provided iron and ironing board. Hotel was clean, modern, comfortable The breakfast was fantastic although no bacon or sausages, the choice of options was fantastic. I'd definitely book this hotel or chain again

Clean and modern room which was well furnished. Staff were really friendly. The location was excellent 2 mins walk from Manchester Piccadilly.

The breakfast was rather basic and whilst they serve until 11am all food was removed at 10 mins past!

Comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom, decent black out curtains. The room was small but adequate for one person. The location suited me, having arrived in Manchester by train. Good value, no frills hotel. Decor was modern, simple and uncluttered which I liked.

Some travellers would have liked the option of a cooked breakfast. I normally don't have a cooked breakfast but I do have porridge every morning. The restaurant did offer instant porridge where you add hot water to a cup full of instant porridge powder. Adequate rather than tasty.

Motel One is always clean and comfy, the staff were absolutely fantastic, thanks to Fernando and his colleagues on Friday lunchtime 21.11.25 (apologies to the ladies I did not get their names) for their advice on some great places to spend the afternoon and evening, and for arranging to have our bags moved on to the next location

The friendly welcome from the staff and staff were always helpful.

Check-in was extremely smooth. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Love the balance of the room being aesthetically pleasing yet perfectly functional. Great location and a lovely bar where I had the best espresso martini ever. Great value for money too. Highly recommended.

We were upgraded to a really big room on the 13th floor. Staff as always at Motel One. We used the Motel One loyalty scheme for the first time so I suspect this is why we were able to get the upgrade?

While we had a fantastic room, however there were no bedside tables to put anything, also the lack of plug sockets to charge devices next to the bed. These are minor points, but for us are important especially when we have used phones, iPads etc during the day and want to use at night. The above said again this does not detract from the quality of stay at the hotel.

My Stay at Motel One Piccadilly, Manchester (13–17 November 2025) I stayed at Motel One in Manchester for four nights, and honestly, I was impressed from the moment I walked through the door. Check-in was amazingly quick, and the staff were so warm and welcoming. They gave me clear directions to my room, and I found it without any trouble at all. I booked a Standard Queen Room, and the first thing I noticed when I walked in was how impeccably clean everything was. The lighting was great, the view was decent, and the whole room just felt inviting from the start. The bed was extremely comfortable, even with the occasional back pain I get, I had zero issues sleeping here. The bathroom was modern and spotless, with seriously impressive water pressure in the shower (a big win in my books). The Wi-Fi clocked in at 92.1mbps, which is honestly one of the fastest speeds I’ve ever seen in a hotel. I didn’t need the heating at all because the room stayed at a perfect temperature. Storage space was totally adequate, with wall-mounted hanging rails and plenty of hangers. Downstairs, there’s a bar that serves both alcohol and coffee. I only tried the coffee, and it was really nice. Plus, the location is unbeatable. Being right in Piccadilly means you're practically surrounded by shops, restaurants, and super close to the tram system. It made getting around ridiculously easy. And as for complaints? Genuinely none! Not a single disappointment! Everything was smooth, comfortable, and easy... Exactly what you want from a hotel stay. I would happily stay here again!
