Motel One Piccadilly, Manchester

Stayed a number of times, comfortable modern room, nice bar area & good breakfast. Careful which room you are given as some look straight into offices opposite and others are above the tram line which is noisy from early until late

Its not the first time we've been there never had any issues just easy to get to from trainstation cant fault it always easy to book and keep you intouch with your booking staff always helpful we have noticed it as chanched biffrent people there but still excerlenet ...

The location was fantastic! Very close to Piccadilly station and easy to get out to The Co-op Live for a concert. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

Our room 529 was right next to the service door and we constantly heard the door bang with the staff coming and going. The carpet had some weird green bleached patches and weird stains but for the most part it was clean. No fridges or ice machines which would be nice. Very little space to put clothes so be prepared to live out of your luggage.

For me, the staff make this place because they’re always amenable and try to do everything they can to help. The hotel is very near Piccadilly station, therefore very near the centre of Manchester and that makes it really useful for work.

This place is a bit of a mixture at times. There are no frills in the room so expect to buy water and even the cups are paper. So if you like your tea in a mug, take one up before you go to bed. They don’t do a cooked breakfast but the options on offer in the morning are quite decent as long as you don’t mind paying £16 for your porridge!

Bed was ok but pillows were awful, one was too hard and the other was like it was full of air no firmness to it, also opened up like you’d open a bag of crisps longways never seen that before

Able to check in a bit early. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Lovely breakfast great choice. Quiet room. Comfortable bed.

Paper cups in the room with the kettle. No glass for toothbrush in the bathroom. Only 1 chair. No bedside tables.

We didn’t have breakfast, strongly suspected it was over-priced for what would be on offer - which proved to be the case! Why can’t hotels offer a sliding scale to match prices to guests’ requirements - some people (us) just wanted a very light breakfast whereas we spotted other guests piling their plates high

Virtually no storage space, so guests have to live out of their suitcases - and nowhere to tidy suitcases away, so constantly tripping over them, quite hazardous in such small rooms - and we are two elderly ladies But loved the many plug sockets, and handily located next to the big mirror (which we also liked) so no squabbling over whose phone charger gets plugged in first. Also really liked soft fluffy towels, too many budgets hotels provide meagre thin towels, and liked the scents of the hand wash and shower wash And the bed was so comfy!
