Motel One Piccadilly, Manchester

Excellent location, very close to Manchester Piccadilly station - perfect for an overnight stay before (or after) getting a train to (from) the Manchester Airport.

Cleanliness, bathroom and especially the breakfast was great. Superb location to the city center, as well as the train station. Staff was very friendly throughout our stay.

Suggest not to offer "soft boiled" eggs if you cannot serve them; they turn hard boiled within minutes when you offer them together with the hard boiled eggs. Perhaps add some smoked salmon with condiments. But these are little issues, the breakfast was fantastic, even when compared with some more expensive hotels in town.

Friendly staff, nice bar area, clean quiet rooms, hot showers with plenty of pressure.

Second stay at Motel One Picadilly and it's still great. Staff is very professional and helpful, location fantastic and despite the very central position, windows do a fantastic job of silencing all the external traffic. Design of all areas is very thoughtful. Shower is massive and very comfortable. The continental breakfast provided is simple (boiled eggs are the only hot element) but good quality and fresh. I had a grreat stay.

Carpet in the room is a bit tired. Not bad yet but I think it's probably the first thing to need some refreshing soon.

Great one day stay for business. 5-10 min walk to the train station

Great location, comfortable bed, friendly staff. I stayed for one night to attend a concert at the O2 Apollo and unfortunately I had to leave very early in the morning to catch a flight, so I didn’t have much time to enjoy the room, and I couldn’t take advantage of breakfast. There are screens in the reception area to book an Uber which was very handy for me as I don’t have the app. It all worked quite well.

If I’d spent more time there I would have liked a more comfortable armchair. The bar doesn’t serve food apart from basic packaged snacks. Apart from that, everything seemed really good.

The location of the Hotel for us is fantastic, right where we need to be, the price for New Years Eve also very good value. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are great layout and love the bathrooms. It is always clean and tidy and the staff are friendly and efficient.

Only think that would make it better would be safety deposit boxes in the room, but not essential.

The location was convenient and the hotel was welcoming and comfortable. The staff were all friendly, especially the famous Felix at the bar! We enjoyed sitting downstairs for a drink, and the rooms were very comfortable.

It was a very friendly place to stay. We loved our room it was on a high floor and we loved the view. The staff were really helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would come back but without breakfast.

The breakfast choices. I have enjoyed continental breakfas in other hotels and the choices were better. They need a new porridge supplier. Its supposed to thicken. I put less water in than it said on the pot, but it was very runny.

My stay wasfrom November 13-15, 2025. Everything was great. I'd definitely return to stay when in Manchester. The staff who attended to me, Quam Ibrahim was super professional, helpful and friendly. The best service I've ever experienced. Thanks for making my stay so pleasant Quam!

Excellent value for money, beds are big and very comfortable. Plenty of space in the rooms and good walk in shower. Staff are super helpful and friendly.

Pleasantly surprised. Hotel very modern, great location. I had asked for a quiet room and that is pricisely what I got. Nice modern shower room, plently of hot water. Not once did I put the heating on despite the cold outside. I very lovely touch by putting a Christmas card outside the door on Christmas day. Staff very attentive

As someone who designs/ refurbishes hotels there were a couple of things that I did not like. Lots of lighting but all on one switch. The two artemide tolomeo bedside lights hard to turn on as switch on the top and a stretch. No bedside tables/shelf to put phone/ specticles etc. on, and would have liked a couple of drawers for my clothes (but understand if people are only staying for a few days). Apart from that decoration was good, clean and modern. Must mention the bed and pillows..........a joy!

We could check in immediately even though we arrived in the morning. Very lucky indeed that the room was available and they gave it to us promptly. Very good service from the counter staff. Slightly far out from the main city area but good for short stays if you need to head to the train station as it was just directly opposite.
