Room007 Ventura Hostel, Madrid

I really liked the location; it had all the basics, the place was clean, and the service was fine. A few details could be improved, but for the price, it's fine.

The bunk beds are very noisy; they didn't have their own light or a curtain so that others could move around the room as they wished without disturbing the person sleeping. The shower with the button-pressing system made the water come out hotter each time; at the very least, it should have a longer duration time before needing to be pressed again. The sink is made of metal and it is inside the room, so using it at midnight is very annoying for those who are resting. I think the cleanliness of the shared spaces could be improved. The dining area’s trash bin was overfilled, and the tables were not clean.

Once I found it ~ Great Location. Very comfortable bed. Good price.

The hostel is OO not the 'Ventura' I was looking for. Having the toilet in the room is OK for a pee but a number 2 with strangers? Er, no. Used the loos in the basement. Could do with lower level lighting. And, NEEDS curtains around the bed to combat the lighting issues.

The location close to the city center

The location is at the very heart of Madrid and within a walking distance from all main tourist attractions. The hostel is clean and the staff is friendly. Towels are provided and you can leave your luggage after checking out for the price of 3,50€.

The sink is inside the room (and not in the bathroom) and, as much as you try not to wake the other people up, it’s inevitable. Also, there was no warm water coming from the sink, only cold. The hostel is located on a rather busy street, so our room (facing the street) was super noisy even in the middle of the night.

The sink in the middle of the room was inconvenient and noisy. There should have been a sink in the toilet instead of the room. It also splashed water outside while using.

The photo I took when booking didn't match the actual room. The photo showed a balcony with a window facing the street, but in reality, it was a wall and a roof.

Heater was not working porperly, the room was cold while I was staying. Also the liquid soap does not exist.

The lockers are loose even when you lock them. The double deck bed too low if you are on the lower level I’ve hit my head a few times. We had one chair that was wobbly. I suggest the hostel should check these every now and then.

I had such a great welcome thanks to Juan! He was incredibly kind and helped me with all the information I needed from the moment I arrived. Truly a wonderful person — warm, patient, and genuinely attentive. The hostel itself has an amazing energy: clean, stylish, and with a vibe that makes you feel at home instantly. My stay here was honestly memorable. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting Madrid — and if you’re lucky enough to have Juan assisting you, you’re guaranteed to have a fantastic stay. 💛

One small suggestion: the room has a light that only covers the whole room area, and the sink is located inside the room. This means that when someone needs to brush their teeth or wash their hands, it can make noise and disturb others — even when you try to be quiet. I found myself worrying about bothering people, even though I had no choice but to use the sink. It’s not a big issue, but something to consider for improving guest comfort.

Location was perfect.

The window was broken and, because of that, the room was so cold and noisy. The shower was uncomfortable since there was a huge shower head and you needed to press all the time to make the water come.

We loved the beds, so comfortable and room super clean! Big bonus is that we could buy food at the supermarkets, heat up in the restuarant, with crockery ,cuttlery and even ice for that glace of vino! And fabulous location, 5 minutes from the centre of Madrid, with all amazing restuarants in the neighbourhood

Could use some tlc in some areas, some mould and rotting wood in the bathroom. The toilet door didn’t close when we first arrived, staff fixed it quite quickly which is good.

Thank you for the big locker and for providing a bath towel! The en suite toilet and shower was a nice touch. The soap and shower gel provided smelled really nice. Best part (besides the cost and location of the hostel) was breakfast! For the price, and all of the options that were provided, it was fantastic!!! Was basically only here to shower and sleep (and eat breakfast) so my stay was fine. Check in kind of takes a little while; I had to wait a decent amount of time, so would have been nice to have two employees working at reception. (Maybe they do that when it gets busy? :) ) But the two male receptionists I interacted with were both extremely nice and friendly -- thank you!! :) Appreciated you having the patience to speak Spanish slowly so that I could practice, instead of just speaking English with me :))

Pretty poor facilities. The bathroom and shower rooms in my dorm were very old and worn down (i.e. very old, cracked, with chipped paint, etc.) The doors were not very sound proof so you can hear everything from outside the shower and toilet rooms. The beds are not very sturdy so the bunk would shake whenever the person above or below moved. I was very grateful to be on the bottom bunk but it was too short to be able to sit up in. Having the sinks in the main room would have been fine if not for the metal basin -- whose idea was that?? Terrible due to how much noise it made. The bathroom lights were too bright at night, especially since I had the bed nearest to the door. I was on the bottom bunk so thankfully was able to hang my towel up to provide a bit of a barrier from the lights. Housekeepers were extremely loud in the mornings, speaking and laughing at high volume in the corridors (and even playing music) with no concern for guests who were trying to sleep. Really did not appreciate that and found it quite rude. All that said -- for the price, and for a short stay, it was fine. Would consider staying again.

Not much privacy in bed, no curtain or anything. Shower and bathroom are what you expect in a hostel. Locker did not seem very secure.

The location was perfect. The staff great. Cleanliness so so. It means it was clean (bathroom, toilet), but it was visible that the equipment, walls, floors are not new. They had better times some time ago . 😁.

There is no equiped kitchen for guests. You can use electric kettle, microwave. That's it But there is possibility of breakfast for 6 €, it is nice.

The location is great! Walking distance to everything and there are lots lots of cute restaurants around! Museums are also close The staff is very friendly, at least the guys. The bunk bed is very low, I can’t sit up on the lower bunk, very inconvenient. no platform or tables around so I have to put everything on the floor. The bed itself isn’t very strong. If the person on the upper bed moves, it was like an earthquake on the bed. It’s very difficult to sleep The shower is a big problem. There’s no faucet but only a button. Press one time will have water for a few seconds so you need to keep pressing it to finish a shower The stupid button is also on the sink. So even people just wash hands, the water will still continue for another few seconds, it’s very noisy at night

It was in the center

The hostel is in a great location in a cool neighbourhood in central Madrid, with some really good cafes, restaurants and bars nearby. It is convenient to public transport but also easily walkable to some of the best areas of Madrid, as well as parks, museums, etc. The room and common areas were basic but very clean and quite comfortable. The hostel has a good outside deck seating area.

I thought the price was a bit high for a basic private room, but this was still lower than budget hotel options.

Sebas was helpful! 24 hour staff was great; good value for money. They also had a hairdryer, iron, & scale for us to borrow. Also, a great rec for food — Plaza Santa Ana.

It was on the surface level clean but could have used a deep clean. Also, the air conditioning was uncontrollable — sometimes on, sometimes off But overall good!

This hostel ticked all the boxes, it was a clean space and had a nice outside area. No real kitchen, except some fridge space and sink. The street was nice and the location was good for walking distance to the train and other galleries.

The air conditioning was practically non existent, and when we opened up the window the street could often get very loud. There was also a school group staying there that was very loud and disruptive, and after they left a lady was arrested and escorted onto the street where she made lots of noise late at night. We understand that the police presence was needed and not the hostels fault bur it was still quite disturbing.

Great value for money, and we could check in very late which was useful as we had a late flight into Madrid.

There are no curtains so when other people in shared rooms switched lights on it was impossible to sleep!

Affordable room rates include a hearty breakfast, making it well worth the price. interior design is characterized with modern style, which display the atmosphere suitable for youngsters.

The bed frame wobbles and feels a bit unstable. The shower stall lacks a drain, causing water to pool on the floor easily. The bottom of the licker cabinet is slightly sunken and requires repair. breakfast is wonderful, the hostel doesn't provide city map, which is weird.

It was well organised, clean and great location

- Location is great. In the center but calm street so you could sleep well. - good internet in the bar and terrace - great stuff, super friendly and helpful - nice shower and toilet in the shared room

- there is a metal sink in the room. When someone would wash their hands, it was super noisy. - the aircon didn’t not work. They needed to use a portable one which was noisy and it could barely cold down the room. It was really inefficient since it was taped to the window. We could not open the window to ventilate the room. - the room door closed automatically in a really abrupt and noisy way. At night it scared me several times when someone will not close it carefully.

It was very convenient in terms of location, the hostel is in the very center, with access to all main attractions. t The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The 4 bedroom room for females with private bathroom where I stayed was comfortable, clean. The fresh clean sheets and towels were provided. The room was equipped with everything needed, the private lockers, toilet papers, towels, body gel/shampoo.

The location truly is amazing, the staff is very very friendly, they give towels and even a lock. The room’s layout is nice, so is the patio.

The 4 person room is quite small and no curtain on the beds make it feel even smaller. Breakfast costs actually 6 eur, and not necessarily worth it. The AC is really loud, you need good earplugs to sleep
