The scale felt cozy, very homey. The decore, the staff, it was a lovely hotel!

Everything was amazing. The service was top notch, staff speaks Spanish and English, the breakfast was custom and quiet and served until 11, very close to a metro station and a 30 minute walk from the Prado and other attractions, etc.

The water took a few minutes to get hot rather than a few seconds, and the elevator is slow. Everything else was amazing.

A beautiful boutique hotel convenient and close to everything AND situated on a not heavily trafficked sidestreet which kept things quiet and tranquil and allowed taxis to be waiting to pick you up and drop you off right at the door. We were greeted at the entry where our luggage was pulled out of the taxi and the ataff quickly checked us in. They offered auggestionw for restaurants and nightclubs and made reservations for us as requested with a smile. This is a pomished and very professional staff! Gorgeous outdoor eating area in the garden, also an inside gorgeously decorated dining room with delicious, high end ingredients and sophisticated food with a mix of Spanish cuisine and international flair plus high quality, fresh ingredients. Impeccable service throughout. We had a very large King room facing the garden on an upper floor with a sitting area, a fancy bathtub in the hall and a closet also off the hall, which allowed enough space to store our open luggage without tripping nor taking up space in the large bedroom with sitting area. Have been to many lovely, expensive fancy hotels in Madrid and this has been my favorite so far!

I would have loved a pool but that’s just because Madrid in July is hot as blazes:-). Not a minus really.

Great place. We chose this place for our wedding. Very nice service The apartment is big, clean and beautiful. We got champagne on the wedding day and other surprises. Room cleaning 2 times a day. We will definitely come back. I would give 10 but unfortunately I have to give 9 because of one thing...

Breakfast. Very poor quality for a hotel of this class. The fruit wasn't fresh every day, one day it smelled like a refrigerator. The pancakes I ordered from the menu were not freshly made, but warmed up. The cakes and croissants were ready-made, store-bought ones of very poor quality. Big disappointment

The hotel was a beautiful characterful building, tastefully decorated, well maintained and beautifully appointed. The staff were invariably polite, friendly and helpful but some junior restaurant staff would benefit from more experience and training We ate once in the 2 Michelin Star restaurant and were not disappointed. The reception staff were extremely pleasant and professional, Nerea, who seemed to be omnipresent during our stay was superb. We very soon realised that the Metro/underground/tube in Madrid is a fabulous means of transport to get around the sights of Madrid efficiently. It is economical, fast, extremely clean and totally non threatening … purchase your 10 journey card from the vending machine for £7.46 equivalent and you’re off! A three or four minute walk from the hotel took you to Alonso Martinez Metro and from there Madrid “is your oyster!” There are many good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel as are many of the sights of Madrid.

The only very small comment I would make is that the staff, although generally very friendly and helpful, were rather slow to clear soiled dishes from the table at breakfast in order for the clients to move on comfortably to another food selection. That does seem petty but although irksome certainly didn’t spoil a very pleasant stay.

From the moment we entered the hotel, we were greeted by a friendly and very polite front office. all the employees were very polite and friendly. our room was really nice. You feel like you're in an antique store. I recommend the hotel to everyone.

The property is elegant . The experience begins at the reception with wonderful staff ( special thanks to Bruce and Clement ) . Rooms were large and super clean and comfortable and well decorated with art pieces . Breakfast was excellent and classy .

A spa or a fitness room would have been good

It’s a luxury boutique hotel, with high service standards.

The restaurant’s menu lacked adequate vegetarian options so we had to eat elsewhere. Fortunately there were good restaurants within walking distance. Also, the room felt a little small for the price.

This is a charming smaller property that is located a short distance away from the city centre. The room was good size, well appointed and nice decorated. The breakfast buffet was quite good, with very attentive breakfast staff. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful.

only one thing . we reserved a table for dinner and it was taken when we arrived plus the tasting menu in the restaurant did not live up to expectations. it is slightly misleading that the hotel says the restaurant has a 2 Michelin star chef but he is rarely there.

Centrally located on a quiet street. Small and cosy. Superb team of staff to welcome and help make things right when things go wrong . Rooms and everything else in the hotel is exemplary clean. Breakfast is simply beautiful- food / service/ deco. This is our second time staying in Orfilia this year . Still wonderful .

Overpriced breakfast

We began our vacation in Spain at Hotel Orfila and ended there before flying home. The Hotel and staff were very welcoming and did their best to make us comfortable. The staff are uniformly delightful. Our room was lovely. Their restaurant recommendation was excellent. A perfect ending to our trip.

Everything was just perfect but the most pleasant aspect of the hotel itself was the extremely friendly atmosphere created by the wonderful staff. I felt welcomed from the minute we entered. The room was tastefully designed and I will never forget the super-comfortable bed and pillows. Truly worth the stay.
