Although the elevator was not working, the staff helped me with the luggage. Excellent central location, right in front of the Royal Palace, clean, quiet, and situated in a historic building with wooden stairs.

The property is in a fantastic location, close to the palace, the cathedral, the gardens and the older part of Madrid. It was easy to walk anywhere we want to go. The accommodation is delightful, with lovely interiors and we had a fantastic view from the third floor. We thoroughly enjoyed our two days. They were having trouble with the elevator while we were there but were very accommodating in helping us to take bags to and from our room. Communication before this was excellent.

The location was excellent and we had booked for a panoramic view of the Palace. The view was amazing! The staff were excellent and very friendly and insisted on helping us with our luggage when we arrived and left. When we arrived, the receptionist gave us some excellent advice on visiting the city

The lift was being replaced which meant that we had to use the stairs but the hotel had telephoned us a few days before our arrival so we knew that this was the case.

We really enjoyed our stay here at Hostal Central Palace Madrid. From the moment we arrived, we were made feel very welcome. The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating, nothing was an issue. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, location is great, looking onto the palace, a metro stop within 5 mins of walking. Overall a really pleasant stay here.

The lift wasn’t working, but they were very apologetic from the outset, offering to lift our bags to and from our room. They seem to be renovating, so it will be for the better!

Amazing view of the palace. You feel like a princess!! This is my fave place to stay in Madrid!! Such wonderful staff. Love the bottle of sparking wine and coffee machine with pods.

Hostal Central Palace is the kind of stay you dream off. The rooms are amazing, the beds are comfy, but most importantly, the staff ( all of them) are the kindest and always willing to help. It was an incredible and really nice stay.

Everything, so close to the Palace, the distance from the metro was very close. Alina was a joy to deal with and extremely helpful

Great location, superb staff, very clean rooms and all you need in the room. it has air conditioning and heating! Easy to find. bright rooms

Accommodation was 2mins walk to opera metro. Small supermarket and restaurants nearby. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Best of all is the view. View of the park and royal palace right in front!

The room was very spacious and the view of the palace was lovely. The location was easily accessible by metro and it was well connected to the city.

The hot water in the showers is not quite enough if two people want to shower one after the other so you need to be careful with your water usage.

The location is central. It’s a perfect location for exploring the city. Our room was spacious & spotless with an amazing view! You can see the Royal palace from our balcony. The staff were brilliant, especially Alina from the front desk. Highly recommended.

It's a bit pricey even for Madrid but we keep coming back so that says it all. The better rooms have brilliant views over the Palacio Real - well worth the upgrade for us. Exceptionally spacious room - very tastefully decorated.

The lift is still a bit temperamental but better than last time we were here!

The palace view was absolutely gorgeous. The shower had great water pressure. Our room had an individual radiator for heat and an AC unit which functioned well. Location is excellent for all the tourist things we wanted to do.

We stay here regularly and like that all the rooms are very large, even the interior ones, and very comfortable. The location is great and if you have a view room it is spectacular at night.

Amazing location and view. Really nice rooom. Excellent and friendly service from Alina upon checking in. Alina also sent a message in advance with lots of helpful information and details. We were also upgraded to a room with an amazing view. A really nice scenic area - close to all the landmarks.

It's perfect location in historic old town area with 10 - 15 minutes walking distance to most tourist attractions and historical sites. 5 minutes' walk to the opera house subway station and you can reach to many Madrid attractions by subway transferring. There are many restaurants nearby.

It felt very luxe for the price and also very clean/spacious/safe. The location is literally right in front of the palace, beautiful location. Staff were all friendly and I felt very safe and happy even as a solo female traveller.

Fantastic location with amazing views of the Palace! Alina, who managed the front desk was very helpful with all communication, reservations, and with her suggestions of what to see/do. The breakfast voucher offer at the desk (for 10€) at Cafe de Oriente was well worth the purchase. We could not have been happier with our experience here.

Great location in front of Royal Palace and close to bars and restaurants. Room is large, comfortable and clean. Staff clean room and change towels each day. I will strongly recommend it

There was only 1 radiator in the living area, and during cold days would not be enough to maintain a warm temperature across the area, only around the radiator. But if you stay close to it, is very warm and comfy.
