The Hat was wonderful, far exceeded our expectations. The value for money was excellent. The rooftop bar is fab, the food and drinks were great. We did the pub crawl one night and it was really fun - well organised. The hostel itself is really tastefully decorated and clean. Bathrooms all maintained very well also. The location is superb. Right beside Plaza Mayor.

Truly for the price - wouldn't change a thing.

A beautiful hostel with very positive vibes. Absolutely spick and span. Good house keeping. A very nice and cordial staff. Central location. Couldn't be better. Good rooms with good beds and privacy in a dormitory. One of the few good ones, I saw in more than 25 countries.

It’s the third time that I choose this hostel and, overall, it never disappoints. Love the location, the staff and all the commodities for backpack travellers and groups.

It needs some reforms… and the showers are extremely annoying.

AMAZING staff who did me a great favour by dealing with my luggage issue. He is super patient, helpful and friendly. Nice and clean dorm rooms. Bed with curtains for privacy. A couple of hang out areas - rooftop bar with special discounts during happy hour and lounge area on G/F Perfect location for all sorts of bar and restaurant

The location is great, very close to Plaza Mayor and to many restaurants and pubs. The staff are very polite, and the hostel has a really nice rooftop. The space of the room is adequate for the number of beds.

There are too few toilets for the amount of people. The showers don't have an adequate place to put your stuff while bathing. The beds are made of wood, so they make noises when moving or laying. And the upper beds don't have a blackout around it.

Was an extension of my 6th stay. Kierra and Maria were both exceptional receptionists and embassies of your hostel. The other guys and gals (including cleaning, reception, and bar personnel were also very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful.

The hostel is perfectly located, the hostel itself is really nice and well equipped & staff is also lovely. Would definitifely stay there again!

Super central location, very friendly staff and cool design. I was given the upper bed and it was very comfortable, not noisy when moving and with clean and comfy sheets. The lower beds have curtains! The 5th floor terrace is a gem! I would definitely come back when in Madrid again!

Everything. This place is so wonderful. I always stay here when I go to Madrid and never regret it. The beds are comfy. The rooms are clean. The people that stay here tend to be super nice. And the staff is always the Cherry on top - truly so sweet and helpful. The rooftop is also super gorgeous and it’s so close to everything. Love it.

This place is well but together. You can relax and have fun there. The bed is good. I had a great time there

You can not cook food there. But can heat food from the grill and microwave. Would have loved to have a Handel for the upper beds to grab on when you got to the bed and down

I mainly chose this hostel for its vibe! As a solo traveller I was interested in meeting other people and having a nice time, esp in the sangria workshops. Also the central location, the way the hostel was decorated and its terrace bar attracted my attention. I liked the big windows and small balcony in my shared room, the large lock boxes with plenty of storage and the overall space with plenty of room for movement and hanging out. The private toilet was clean and very accesible and the mirror & sink being in the room meant there were no long queues for using the toilet or shower. The mattress, pillows and duvet were very comfy and, though I was on the bed above, it made no noise and it was easy to access. Also found the little shelf near the bed very useful, as well as the lamp and plug socket. I didn't find it too noisy, but I was also prepared for some level of disturbance when sharing with other 7 ppl and so I had great earplugs! The included breakfast was amazing: great choice and plenty of yummy food! And the kitchen area was very well stocked and I had my own meals there too. I've also enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the terrace alongside a great vibe, music and...cerveza! I've also participated in the guided tour and Joaquín was very fun, knowledgeable and had great recommendations. He even gave us a discount to a flamenco show that was absolutely... ¡genial! Overall the staff were very helpful, friendly and genuinely smiley all the time. Their English is very good, though I wanted to practice my Spanish so they were very patient with me 😅
