Nice room, comfortable beds, great showers and very nice staff. Lots of nice touches including several gifts and packs for the children.

If you like blackout rooms a night its not great. Light through yhe bathroom and from green emergency light on ceiling. Also brrakfast serving was very very slow. You need paience in the restaurant, for dinner too, so not great with small kids.

The hotel gave an amazing feeling. The vide was very relaxing and pampering, the facilities were everything we could wish for. The staff even brought colouring book , colours and the Teddy bear for our kid, and set up a tipi for her. The best thing was B&O speaker, adding to the overall comfort. We loved everything! A special note about the breakfast: it's served in the patio, and is overall very good for 25 euro pp. You can order any number of plates you want (that includes fruits, jamon, baked goods, yogurt and eggs). We found it it tasty and satisfying. The area around was very safe, and it was a 5-10 min walking to almost everything

It’s an unpretentious hotel near Atocha train station. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. This trip they upgraded my room to a suite and it was greatly appreciated after a difficult day of travel. Love this hotel.

Perfect location, friendly and efficient service, beautiful historic building, spacious rooms. Lots of extras included like toothbrushes, notepad and a pen, etc, etc. Attention to detail is fantastic.

Everything was perfect, just couple of glitches really. The aircon was working only in hot mode, it was too hot in the room. The mattress and the pillows not my favourite, I am used to memory foam thing.

The rooms are huge, the amenities are great, the staff is the best and the location is unbeatable.

The rooms are superb - the staff are very warm and friendly. The bathrooms are amazing with double showers. The hotel is very central, just a walk away from everything.

The hotel itself feels a little quiet, it's not like a bustling hotel - there's a restaurant, but no bar area or lounge. It's a little on the expensive side.

Location, valet parking for the car, staff were amazing, the breakfast was delicious. Staff were helpful every step of the way. High end products in the bathroom. Loved all of it.

The only small negative was there are not enough hooks or hangers for towels in the bathroom. A common thing in Europe.

The location is really in the heart of Atocha. The room was a nice one warm with all the things that you need in a hotel room. The breakfast was ok with nice options to order. The people was really friendly and really kind and happy to help you.

The service in breakfast was kind but the procedure for serving was slow.

The employee in the turn down service brought us a bottle of water that wasn’t clean it has a lip stick, and unfortunately we figured out after we drunk it

The bathroom felt so GRAND, the type of bathroom where you want to spend a long because it just felt like a spa!

Their attention to details - from the facilities of the hotel, the superior service to the attention the staff provide their guests. Everything was 10 stars. The best hotel. Our oom was magnificent. The breakfast was superb.

Breakfast was plentiful with good selection of choices - however,as English people, the hotel version of "toast" was more like dry stale bread (than grilled fresh bread) and the tea bags supplied produced a tea that was too weak.

Apart from the minor quibble of lack of fresh bread/toast, the absence of a heated swimming pool in basement was a bit disappointing. But these were minor points: the hotel was very comfortable, accommodating, and stylish.

While most hotels have lavish lobbies and tiny rooms, this hotel had a small lobby with a large and beautiful room. The bathroom was very dramatic and large with a two person shower and sink. Chocolates are delivered to your door in the evening. It was quite luxurious. Staff were very polite.

The beauty of the entire property. Great bar after we returned from dinner. The breakfast room was breathtaking. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. All of our needs were met.

Spacious room and an extremely comfortable bed. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel is well placed to walk to all the major sights in Madrid and there are loads of bars and restaurants close to the hotel.

The rooms and common areas are decorated in dark moody colours which is fine, but the lighting is poor. Our room was very dark, even with all the lights on. The bathroom lighting was also poor and for a woman, it was hard to put makeup on.

Very spacious, classic looking yet very modernised (e.g. auto night lamps in the bathroom). Super friendly reception staff I believe he’s truly loving his job.

We loved being in a beautifully renovated old building. It made our stay so much more interesting! And the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. When our bags were delayed more than 24 hours, the staff exerted every effort to help us get them back! They were a lifesaver. The kitchen was also excellent!

Pool area was lovely, breakfast was exceptional and lovely bar to retire to after a day sightseeing.

Only small downside was the pool water was very cold.

Stayed in a suite and the size of the room far exceeded my expectations. The bathroom was super generously sized, especially the shower - it had 2 shower heads with the best pressure I’ve ever had. Was hard to get out! The sitting area was nice and included a couch and mini bar. The bedroom was also great, the bed extremely comfortable. The hotel was very conveniently located and we ended up walking everywhere. Would highly recommend Mercado Del San Miguel - it was amazing!! The staff were especially helpful and gave us plenty of recommendations for restaurants and bars in the area. The pool area was a great place to come back at the end of the night and relax. Would stay again!

Hard to identify anything we “didn’t” like. I will say, the 2nd night we were there, they did not come to clean the room until 5pm. We notified the front desk that we’d like them to come earlier and it was handled from then on!

This hotel is a hidden gem - it was the highlight of our trip to Madrid. Unfortunately the name CoolRooms makes it sound like a budget apartment chain to the English-speaking ear, but it’s really a luxury boutique hotel. The huge rooms were finished to a very high standard, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful, the toiletries and hairdryer etc in the room were some of the best I’ve seen (nicer even than at big 5* resorts) and the bar/restaurant/pool were lovely to have too. We thought it was extremely good value for money.

The moment we arrived the staff were exceptional. They went out of their way, Joe, Marta and all the others, to ensure we felt welcome. They were professional and kind and wouldn’t let us lift a finger! The room was beautiful and comfortable and sitting at the pool was a perfect end to the day.
