Expert reviews
”The 66-room Tuve Hotel is bringing boutique chic to the gentrifying neighborhood of Tin Hau. The design is minimalist, using gray-toned raw materials like concrete, marble, steel and glass, with unique touches like the desk-minibar-in-a-box combo unit to save space.”
Featured in New York Times’ 36 Hours in Hong Kong.
“From the dungeon-like entrance to the noir-ish reception area with black iron grille and the brass-and-concrete slab that is the front desk, everything here spells design.”
“A short hop away from the heart of Causeway Bay, TUVE is a highly stylised hotel that feels like a destination for frequent travellers in the know. Minimalist, with a slightly futuristic, slightly industrial feel, it’s a very cool place in a neighbourhood with a distinctly local feel.”

All you need to know
Great attractions that are nearby include the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Happy Valley Race The newly constructed Tuve Hotel is an eye-catcher amid the hustle and bustle of the busy Hong Kong Causeway Bay. It is coolly designed. Literally. Designers drew inspiration from pictures of the Swedish lake called Lake Tuve in the wintertime. Therefore, the decor is a composition of concrete, oxidized metal and white marble.
The rooms have a minimalist set up but all the essentials are featured including a wall-mounted TV, chair, bed, desk, city guide and minibar. Each room also features a private bathroom with a shower. A hairdryer and slippers are provided as well. The 24-hour front desk offers 24-hour assistance.
To treat the taste buds of guests, the Tuve Hotel presents the Sliver Room, an Italian-Japanese fusion restaurant. It is just as stylishly and sleekly designed as the rest of the hotel with an oxidized steel door entrance, black-iron beams crisscrossed against the translucent plastic walls and padded white banquette furnishings. The street-level restaurant serves tasty dishes that include octopus with home-made aioli, the fresh catch of the day with cucumber sauce and hand-made pappardelle with red-wine-braised, wagyu beef cheek. Guests can also have a drink at the Silver Room. Choices include European and Chilean wines, prosecco, champagne and sakes. For a person of timeless sophistication, this hotel is a top pick.
