Expert reviews
”The 66-room Tuve Hotel is bringing boutique chic to the gentrifying neighborhood of Tin Hau. The design is minimalist, using gray-toned raw materials like concrete, marble, steel and glass, with unique touches like the desk-minibar-in-a-box combo unit to save space.”
Featured in New York Times’ 36 Hours in Hong Kong.
“From the dungeon-like entrance to the noir-ish reception area with black iron grille and the brass-and-concrete slab that is the front desk, everything here spells design.”
“A short hop away from the heart of Causeway Bay, TUVE is a highly stylised hotel that feels like a destination for frequent travellers in the know. Minimalist, with a slightly futuristic, slightly industrial feel, it’s a very cool place in a neighbourhood with a distinctly local feel.”

All you need to know
Great attractions that are nearby include the Queen Elizabeth Stadium, Happy Valley Race The newly constructed Tuve Hotel is an eye-catcher amid the hustle and bustle of the busy Hong Kong Causeway Bay. It is coolly designed. Literally. Designers drew inspiration from pictures of the Swedish lake called Lake Tuve in the wintertime. Therefore, the decor is a composition of concrete, oxidized metal and white marble.
The rooms have a minimalist set up but all the essentials are featured including a wall-mounted TV, chair, bed, desk, city guide and minibar. Each room also features a private bathroom with a shower. A hairdryer and slippers are provided as well. The 24-hour front desk offers 24-hour assistance.
To treat the taste buds of guests, the Tuve Hotel presents the Sliver Room, an Italian-Japanese fusion restaurant. It is just as stylishly and sleekly designed as the rest of the hotel with an oxidized steel door entrance, black-iron beams crisscrossed against the translucent plastic walls and padded white banquette furnishings. The street-level restaurant serves tasty dishes that include octopus with home-made aioli, the fresh catch of the day with cucumber sauce and hand-made pappardelle with red-wine-braised, wagyu beef cheek. Guests can also have a drink at the Silver Room. Choices include European and Chilean wines, prosecco, champagne and sakes. For a person of timeless sophistication, this hotel is a top pick.

I would definitely stay at Tuve Hotel again.
Tuve Hotel was not like any other hotel I have ever stayed in. The magic started before even entering the building. I wasn't even sure I was in the right place. The discreet hotel sign is embedded in the footpath in front of the entrance. You enter through two heavy steel and glass front doors and you are in a black room with soft lighting, an arched brick ceiling and classical violin music playing. Take the lift with more violin music playing to the first floor and you are in the reception with soft lighting, classical music and a friendly receptionist. The room doesn't look like a hotel reception, it resembles a designer cool hangout spot. Up in the lift again and when the doors open you enter a lobby which is bright white. The contrast with the dark entrance is striking. The accomodation is of industrial design, polished concrete floor and glass and steel wardrobe and bathroom. The bed is large and very comfortable with great sheets and pillows.

Great location, clean boutique hotel and has all the basics you need.
convenient location, less than 5 min walk to tin hau MTR. lots of restaurants nearby, close to Victoria Park. they had a baby cot and bath tub for my infant which was handy. staff were friendly when we saw them. the rooms were always cleaned well. the bed I had was huge and very comfortable and the hotel is uniquely designed.
the rooms are a bit smaller so not as conducive for kids and there’s no amenities so it’s quite basic. for some reason the rooms were freezing (both mine and dad’s) and we had to turn the thermostat to the highest temperature but it was fine after you play around with it.

Pleasant
Friendly personnel
Size of the room, bit small, our mistake. Should have ordered a bigger one. Also the breakfast is in an external restaurant nearby. Good place for breakfast, but just go there an pay there results in lower cost.

Industrial stat
It's stylish of the room's design.
The procedure for extended stay is complicating. Furthermore, the whole surrounding is not enough privacy to feel relaxation.

Design hotel in a so-so street, very small deluxe rooms, and hand soap available if you pay for it
The design of the room.
The lack of hand soap, and the propose to buy it when asked. The size of the room, really small considering it was a deluxe room. The noise of the AC, that makes sleeping hard.

I loved my stay.
I loved my room, it was amazing. The bed was really comfortable. The room was really spacious. The coffee and the water which was complimentary was really high quality. The staff was really helpful and nice. I had a really comfortable and good stay there. It was a safe place in this busy city. I loved everything about my stay and the hotel. My room had a beautiful view, it was on the top floor.
The only thing I disliked was the breakfast, which was not served at the hotel but in a cafe close by called 101. The staff there didn't speak English and the food was average.

Looks attractive, but disappoints
Great design of hotel/rooms nice and quiet room
Accessories really at a low level. Where to hang wet towels so they can dry? Toilet paper the usual thin Hong Kong quality. Only bed lamp one side of bet and not adjustable. suitcase rack too small. Bed quilt not clean - brown spots!!!! - not good at all. Breakfast not the best - only one cup of coffee and no other drinks and then!!! Breakfast at small other restaurant - and only starts a 08:30. Walking distance - sure, but in heavy rain - inconvenient.

air-con sometime is too cold but even tune to lower temperature, the room still feel wet cold.. they should add the humidity machine in the room.
