Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong

From the moment the door man opened the door for us & we checked in at 8-30am after a flight from The UK to be told our room is ready for us & we can go up & use it, no come back at 3pm like most hotels. The place is spotless I mean super clean. All staff have impecable manners,A big shout to the mature doorman who slips you a nice bottle of water when your getting a taxi from outside the hotel. The reason for our trip was to see our daughter who works in Hong Kong & now this will be our go to hotel for meeting up with her. 8 days of bliss.

Cocktail bar could be crazy roudy at times £12-00 for a pint of guinness is OTT, when you have to get them to let it settle & not just fill the tankered ( they dont use glasses) to the top in a single pour.

Very high standard on everything in this classic hotel, impressive attention, details, comfort, food choices, spa, everything high level without excess.

The pool is the only mediocre part of the property

The Mandorin was very convenient, room is sensational quality with a very comfortable bed. A la carte breakfast was a real winner. Jadee at the concierge desk was super friendly and helpful and arranged a wonderful Peking Duck dinner for us. Thanks to all of the lovely staff.

Cannot fault this beautiful hotel

Breakfast in both restaurants was excellent in choice and quality The spa and fitness area were superb with great equipment steam and sauna and jacuzzi. The spa staff went out of there way to make our use wonderful. The. Concierge staff was the best that I have ever ever encountered- attentive and willing to help in any way possible.

Unfortunately there is a lot of construction in front of the hotel that takes away a lot from the view

One restaurant the Chinnery, poor service and poor food. The other restaurants we tried were excellent l, particularly the buffet breakfast.

Absolute perfection. The service impecable. The location. Cleanliness. It was a 10 out of 10.

Superb facilities, impeccable service and an excellent room. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. The gym, pool and spa facilities were 5 stars.

The pool was amazing but slightly surprised it wasn't outdoors.

Iconic hotel in a central location. Rooms are big and breakfast amazing. Staff were lovely.

I spent extra for a harbour view room. Because they put us on a low floor I could see the harbour but had to look at a dodgy car park and ferris wheel. We had to listen to the highway traffic all night too. Also some of their bars and restaurants don’t open Sunday and the ones open were booked out so we had to eat elsewhere . Rooms need a renovation.

Wonderful hotel near to everything

We had the club king room so it was nice to go and have a drink or eat something quick there . The only problem was that at 7 PM one of the male staff kept telling everyone - We close at 7 , we close at 7. This is something that I never experienced , it was just wrong . Also one of the evenings they didn’t had Margarita glasses so they brought the Margarita in some whisky glass . Really ? In a 5 star hotel ?

Quiet and comfort, using Diptyque soap, shampoo are excellent. Like back home

Rooms are spacious, clean and extremely comfortable. The Mandarin Club is a wonderful place to rest or have a drink. Service is stellar at this hotel.

Great location in Central Hong Kong. Spotlessly clean and room type reserved was spacious and very comfortable. Excellent, professional and very attentive staff. Great HK and harbor view from the room. Aubrey bar & restaurant is great on the 25th floor.

Very convenient location right by Central station. Wonderfully friendly staff. Loved my junior suite interior and decor. Comfortable bedding, great water pressure in the shower. Much attention paid to the comfort of guest for the turn-down service as well.

Breakfast was very mediocre and the lobby feels old. Couldn't find in-room dining menu. The QR code only showed mini bar menu. There also wasn't much of a view at the junior suite (was facing another building close by).

Laundry got the request for an urgent dry-cleaning service confused.

Exceptional service. Of particular note are the Reception and Guest Relations staff who make me feel very welcome on arrival; and , on departure make me loong forward to coming back soon.

The incheck process in the business lounge was very convenient. Breakfast was good but nothing really special. Location was very good. The neighbourhood was nice to walk in. Also a lot of restaurant choices and stores nearby. The Man Wah restaurant was so so. Nice atmosphere but the food is nothing special.

The Man wah needs an other chef. The atmosphere is good but the food is nothing special. So do not go there because there are a lot better option close to the hotel.

Superb breakfast. Everything is excellent. The cleanliness of the room, an accommodating and cheerful staff, a housekeeper who always checks that you still have a bottled water or new set of towels are all worth of what you paid for. Very good location for shopping too.
