All properties in Helsinki are expensive so it’s hard to say this is value for money. It is however a good spot and I’d return on a future visit.

Hotel FabianI was well-located to downtown which made it easy for us to get around. The staff was probably the most friendly hotel staff I have ever encountered in my life. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the shower was very large. This was likely one of the biggest rooms I have ever had in Europe. I really loved that they had a guestbook that “lives” in that room and to read the different notes over time was really cute. I have never seen this in a hotel before and I thought it was a really nice touch.

The lobby was very small and not really a good place to gather. While I felt the bedroom area was super clean, I felt the bathroom walls needed to be washed. I could see toothpaste splatter from previous guests which was a bit gross. They do not provide you with lotion. The room was quite warm and it took us a minute to figure out that the thermostat on the wall did not control the heat but that there were manual knobs to turn the heat down. Lastly, I did order a bottle of prosecco for a special occasion to be in the room upon arrival and that was done but the note made my husband feel like the hotel gifted it to him vs the fact I paid for it for him. Just a little something to think about for the future.

The property is just amazing, very close to everything. What stands out is the staff and their services. They’re just exceptional. Mats and his team will look into every slight details to make your stay more comfortable and memorable.

Breakfast was modest for Scandinavian standards, and the breakfast room was too small.

Everything was very nice and the breakfast was very good, with many options to choose.

The center position, the room was clean and quite big. The staff is very helpful. They even prepared us take away breakfast for the last morning as we were leaving very early in the morning. Good breakfast.

Fabulous location in the centre of Helsinki and close to public transport, and yet very quiet, calm and peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was freshly made and delicious.

Hard to control the air conditioning. Window in the hotel room wouldn't open. And, there was no sauna in the hotel!

Good range of dishes available for breakfast. The porridge and berries was excellent. Very well appointed spacious room. Great location if arriving by Silja line ferry, only 5 - 10 minutes walk from the Olympia terminal building.

Nowhere to hang our towels to dry, so had to leave on the floor to be changed.

Fabian was exceptionally welcoming and the best place we stayed at throughout our entire trip of 3 weeks. The food was superb and a variety of options and better than expected. Fabian treated us like family. Every staff member was extremely pleasant, kind and helpful.
