GLO Hotel Art, Helsinki

Slightly quirky, decent sized rooms, good range of breakfast options (altho can’t recommend the rock hard bread rolls!) and super helpful staff. Location is easy walking distance to main city shops and cafes, but still quiet. Many thanks to Nataly who gave us great tips on visiting Tallinn for the day.

The few steps at the front are a challenge for heavy bags plus the heavy front door made it difficult in the snow

The first room I was assigned was barely large enough to hold the bed. I couldn't comfortably navigate the room. The 2nd room was slightly larger however the bathroom set up was awkward..

A good hotel in a good location. The breakfast was totally worth it!

Our double room had a bathroom zero privacy. You could easily see through the bathroom ceiling, and the toilet door didn't block the noise at all.

Location, design and the staff

The mattress and pillows were quite thin and hurt our backs and necks. The bathroom also has a strong unpleasant odur.

The staff were lovely and the room was high quality with an excellent bed which was very comfortable. The shower was very good too with lots of hot water. The breakfast is well worth the small fee.

The room was smaller than expected, although very nice and it did feel weird that there was no chair. We always had to sit on the bed when relaxing.

The bathroom windows were transparent. Since I was staying with my daughter, it was impossible for me to take a shower because we couldn't take a shower with my daughterThere were no chairs, tables, etc. in the room and it was very narrow.

I thought my room was bigger. I was asked if I want to upgrade which I did. But I thought I had that type of room from the beginning. Vat also caught me off guard.

Rooms are quite small. Hotel is a labyrinth of corridors and buildings, there is only a very small bar without atmosphere (in the entrance hall). Price of rooms qutte high for overall experience..

Absolutely amazing breakfast! Also very comfy living conditions with a lot of little upsides. The room was small but super cozy. The building itself is quite remarkable.

The room was not so warm, but then again, what else would you expect from Helsinki in November? The price was a bit high, but again, everything is pricey in this city.

I didn’t like their no refund policy. By some circumstances I arrived day later than planned and I informed hotel 3 days in advance. I asked not to refund my money for lost night but just for credit ( I’m planning to be in Finland in May). But they said No. Of course i will cchoose another hotel for May staying .

Clean and well-appointed room. Convenient location - walkable to many sights and a variety of restaurants. Comfortable bed. Good lighting. Decent breakfast with a sizable area to eat, including small rooms for families / groups of friends. Friendly and helpful front desk staff members.

The property itself is like a castle, very curious. Breakfast was superb, with plenty choice of hot food (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, porridge…) and cold food (fruit, juices, smoothies, toast…), and the location is very good to visit Helsinki’s center.

As a suggestion I will say that will be good to have in the room something to put on the luggage.

The interior design was nice. Wanna emphasize the lighting design, the night light only comes from lower part: the bottom part of the bed and night stand, which was a good idea to avoid lighting from above and have dim, subtle lighting. The lighting in the bathroom can also be dimmed. The smart bed was an interesting setup to try. It was good for reading in bed or watching TV maybe.
