Everything was great. Breakfast, fika and dinner generous and tasty. The building is an extraordinary example of Finnish architecture of early 20 century.

I would prefer to have bathroom and toilet separated a bit more from the room; at this point it cannot guarantee 100% privacy, but it’s ok in general.

I liked everything, especially the reception staff! Very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was a 10/10 didn't need to eat again for the rest of the day. Thank you all so much!

It’s an old historical building that has been renovated to a great standard without losing the charm.

The beds were comfortable but was actually two beds pushed together as a single.

The location is excelent and the food was delicious. (I’m a picky eater) the staff was very welcoming, there is a gym and relaxation room which has a massage bed (similar to a massage chair).

There are virtually no closets except a 40 cm wide one with 4 hangers. No place to store your clothes and considering how small are the rooms it can make the stay very uncomfortable if you’re there for more than 2-3 nights. Everything was clean except the bathroom where there was a layer of dust you could pick up with a finger. As we only stayed there for 2 nights and it was contained in one place, we didn’t ask for cleaning, although I’m sure if we had, this would have been solved immediately.

Gorgeous hotel, one of the most beautiful hotels we've been to. Both breakfasts and included dinners were delicious (in particular, the soup of the day and bread selection). The room was comfortable and nice.

Great hotel in the heart of Helsinki with very kind staff. They were flexible and arranged early breakfast for us according to our request. Breakfast and dinner was varied with lots of salads. This hotel is good choice in downtown of Helsinki. The building is very cozi. There is opportunity to book private sauna as well.

There was no prepared drink (water or tee) in private sauna (1 hour), but we could drink cold water in reception after sauna.

I liked the fact that the room didn't have to be cleaned every day. It's just like being at home. The hotel has character, and it's well-located. I didn't even know that dinner was included, so that was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast choices were excellent.

Everything was wonderful! The room was very comfortable, the food was excellent and plentiful (especially dinner), and the staff was friendly and always ready to help. The location is great, within walking distance of many interesting places, and there’s also a nearby tram station that makes it easy and affordable to reach the main station, the airport, or the city center. There’s a supermarket close by for quick snacks. I will definitely be coming back!

It would be great if dinner could be available over a slightly longer time frame, perhaps starting an hour earlier or ending an hour later (instead of only between 6 and 8). Just a small suggestion, not a problem at all.

Meals were very good. Nice selection for breakfast. Pleasant atmosphere. Room, though very small, had everything including an adjustable bed. Hotel was extremely quiet.

My only complaint was there was nothing in the lobby for fika. Perhaps I was in the wrong location?

Beds could be more comfortable

Very nice hotel, i liked the style. Good location, and connected well with the downtown.

The rooms are so small, i was alone, but very difficult to move around. No desks in the room if you wanna work from the room. I couldn’t open the window in the room, which i didn’t like. They clean room only per request, i stayed 3 days and no cleaning by the staff unless you require it.

The staff were friendly and helpful, I liked it that both breakfast and dinner were included in the price. The location was great and in the heart of Helsinki

The access to the hotel was not made easy by the sand and snow in Helsinki. Not really something imputable to the hotel though...

It was a perfect day for four nights in the center of Helsinki. Amazing breakfast very warm atmosphere in this hotel. My kids loved it. in the bathroom there is heated floor. There was quite big the sauna is available. Nice meeting room upstairs in the tower. would love to stay again.

Beautiful building, amazing breakfast and dinner, and lovely staff. Rooms were clean and modern and the location of the hotel was great - less than 10 minutes to the metro and to tram stops as well.

I booked a double room for two people but the second person couldn’t join which turned out to be better because the room wasn’t as big and it would have been harder to fit two people with suitcases, not much room to move around or open your luggage.

Historical hotel located close to Kamppi district. Plenty of shopping and dining in a walking distance. The hotel offers breakfast, fika and buffet dinner (different menu every evening) as a part of the room price. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

The main building with its cosy traditional design and lots of nooks and areas to sit and enjoy a drink or coffee. Had a really warm vibe. The room itself was a good size, and had a large shower and tv. Good walking distance to amazing cafés and restaurants. I booked the sauna for myself which was lovely, however some clearer signage would have been good and a clock in the changing room would have been helpful. I think in full swing this is a great hotel and it was really good value for money, inclusive of breakfast, fikka and dinner every night was such a nice bonus.

The air-conditioning/central heating was fixed at a too high temperature for us. The lowest it would go to was 19° but it never went lower than 21.5° I asked twice if it could be lowered they said yes but it didn't happen. This is much too warm to sleep in and the windows can't be opened. The curtains in the room were also not quite wide enough so couldn't block out all the street light fully. The bathroom door has a gap between the wall and is more like a shower door. No fridge in room which is a shame. The rooms are quite far away from reception with multiple corridors and stairwell, I quite enjoyed this but could be annoying for some, especially if you needed to pop back for something.

Hotel Jugend is centrally located making all travel easily accessible. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the food is plentiful and delicious and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. An absolute gem of a place.

The room could get a little stuffy as the windows didn’t open but that was fine as we were out most of the time.

I recently had the pleasure of staying in Hotel Jugend during a trip to Helsinki, and I must say, it was a lovely experience! The hotel is ideally situated in a central location, making it easy to explore the city’s many attractions. Despite the chilly weather outside, the hotel offered a warm and cozy atmosphere that made my stay incredibly comfortable. The decor was charming, and the inviting ambiance felt like a true escape from the cold. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met. The combination of a great location, cozy accommodations, and a welcoming environment truly made this hotel feel like a home away from home. I highly recommend

While I appreciated that dinner was included, I opted not to eat at the hotel due to limited dining options. It would have been nice to see a bit more variety in the menu. Additionally, I was disappointed to find there was no water provided in the room. Having water available is a basic necessity, especially when you want to make tea or coffee. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but these aspects could certainly be improved for a more comfortable experience.

Nice hotel located about 20 minutes from the city center. The room was very compact and not very comfortable, as there was hardly any space—even opening a suitcase was difficult. It was acceptable for one night, but not ideal for a longer stay. On the positive side, the complimentary fika and dinner were a nice touch. However, the “dinner” is quite simple: one main dish (which changes daily), a soup, and about 3–4 salad options.

The bathroom had a sliding door, and the glass wall did not provide much privacy, which was a downside.
