GLO Hotel Art, Helsinki

Hotel bedroom was quite small and sparse, but the cool vibe, friendly staff, location, and breakfast all were excellent. I would definitely recommend the hotel. The masseuse who works there was great too!

Perfect hotel, very different shape, nice experience, hotel is created on the basis of the building other purpose, like church, theatre, or so... Lobby, breakfast room, corridors, stairs... Nice! Perfect breakfast, many different choices, I enjoyed it.

Maybe room was a bit dark, on the ground level, but in general, never mind...

I was so disappointed in arriving to the whole hotel being covered in scaffolding. The building looked great in the brochure but awful in reality. But to be fair the hotel had warned us before hand - still a major job!

A fabulously characterful place to stay - castle meets hotel - within 10 mins walk of all the city centre attractions. The dining room upstairs is amazing

Good location and really friendly helpful staff. Liked the adjustable bed. Nice buffet breakfast in the stunning old hall.

Room a little smaller than expected. Building was under scaffolding so hard to find the entrance and to appreciate its beauty as per the photos.

room just a fraction small but comfortable and well appointed. breakfast superb selection served in a super historic hall. location good for walk to centre whilst not being in busy area. good Italian restaurant just along the road. staff very helpful booking transport to the Tallinn ferry and arranging early take away breakfast.

Lobi toilet is having weird signs I couldnt find mens toilet.

The pillows were not very comfortable hence did not have good sleep. Also one of the duvet cover has lipstick marks on it but I can’t be bothered to ask them to change, just did not use that duvet (there were two).

They offer a good breakfast. The location is good, with Helsinki centre within easy walking distance.

The room was rather small. Also, they kind of pushed for an upgrade when I checked in, which I found to be unnecessary.

There was no table or any kind of chair in the room to put things on. There was only very small closet so I haven't had a place to put my backpack or handbag.

Room was clean, location very central and breakfast is delicious. During Easter time they had chocolate eggs hidden in the room which was a nice addition 🐥

Renovations outside which took a little away from the coziness of the place. Otherwise no complaints.

Shower was great! Room was clean and modern Breakfast was wonderful. They also had generous selection for drinks and snacks in the room for additional purchase which was perfect for someone like myself who just did not care to leave the room after settling in.

Very pleasant helpful staff, room was clean a good size. Nice breakfast available for a fee. Quiet and easy walk to most places in the city centre. Lots of restaurants close by.

Extremely comfortable stay at the Glo Hotel Art. Is a little outside the city centre - 15 min to central station even with baggage but there isn't public transport on the doorstep. Personally I found being a little outside an advantage because the bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood were less touristy but do be aware of that when booking. Good staff allowing early check in. Room was very clean and I slept like a log! Good breakfast.

Luggage storage is unsecured - which isn't a problem in itself but there is *no* security. Anyone could wander in off the street, pick up some bags, and possibly leave unchallenged. It wouldn't take much effort to put a lock on the door as a minimum; even to issue a token system would be a big step forward.

+ Unique buliding for Helsinki. It reminded me a Moorish castle in the lobby, with more gothic elements on the second and third floors of the main building. + Breakfast which was included in the room price was amazing. Varied and with plenty of choice + Our child (of 8 years old) apparently stayed for free, as price for 2 or 3 people was the same + Location, location, location. With such a centric location you don't need a car. Everything can be explored by foot or reached by public transport, if going further from centre + We had a problem with aircon in our room (it was too hot) in the middle of the night and we were given another room. The problem was resolved very swiftly and politely + Our child enjoyed putting a 3rd puzzle in the hotel lobby - we thought it was a very thoughtful gesture from hotel management to arrange puzzle activities in that way and also offer some unique puzzles + And my favourites - GLO Hotel slippers! I absolutely love their design and they are very comfortable in comparison to traditional hotel slippers. I always take them home with me :)

Lobby bar drink list could be better. There was no red Martini and overall poor choice of beverages.

Very small room.

The room was spacious and thoughtfully designed. There was room for belongings when staying more than 1 day, The reading lamps actually worked for reading and there was a comfortable armchair in the room.

The bed was way too soft. In the middle of the last night I had an idea to throw aside the cover mattress and things improved greatly. Also the room was a bit hot to my taste. Although the thermostat showed it to be at 21 degrees it was definitely higher and the room got stuffy. With a bit or fussing around I could open the window which helped a lot. They should not remove the window handles. Mostly people are not suicidal, they just want fresh air.

The staff was very helpful regarding the issue we had during the first night.

Unfortunately we had a terrible first night because of the room ventilation noise (impossible to turn off). Fortunately for the second night we were upgraded to a bigger room where the ventilation noise was a lot better!

Great location, tasty breakfast with regional addons. Realy compact room, as its was desceibed.

The rooms were nice and lovely. It’s in a good area in Helsinki and close to the city centre. The staff were really helpful and hospitable.

It’s a quite big hotel, very comfortable bed and quite nice bathroom. The room was spacious (even if I got the smaller one) and silent. Amazing breakfast.

There was a hair in the bad, but overall the stay was good.

The hotel is in a great location - restaurants, grocery stores, local transportation all nearby and within walking distance. The hotel has a charming exterior with very comfortable and clean rooms. The bed was very comfy. Excellent selection for breakfast. Staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel doesn’t offer room service at night (if your flight arrives late and you’re not wanting to venture out), but you are able to order food for delivery through Wolt.

I regularly stay at GLO Art because of the nice location and excellent value for money. The breakfast is always very nice!

Comfy, clean, quiet room in a great location..Friendly staff and good breakfast.

The best breakfast I've encountered with such tremendous variety. The beds were comfortable. The location was excellent.

The bedroom was too hot, the towel rail in the bathroom didn't work. The bar was overly expensive.

Everything was perfect ! Room and service.

Had twice a glass that wasn’t clean enough (lipstick marks) at breakfast.

This is the second time we have stayed here and its always been amazing. The staff are lovely, breakfast is incredible and the rooms are lovely

Only down side is the room was pretty warm and we couldn't really turn the thermostat down any further. But it was -20 outside, so it was just personal preference

Only cleaned my room once and didn’t replace the towels. No restaurant (other than breakfast) or laundry available. No tea kettle in the room.

Slightly quirky, decent sized rooms, good range of breakfast options (altho can’t recommend the rock hard bread rolls!) and super helpful staff. Location is easy walking distance to main city shops and cafes, but still quiet. Many thanks to Nataly who gave us great tips on visiting Tallinn for the day.

The few steps at the front are a challenge for heavy bags plus the heavy front door made it difficult in the snow

The first room I was assigned was barely large enough to hold the bed. I couldn't comfortably navigate the room. The 2nd room was slightly larger however the bathroom set up was awkward..
