This is a beautiful hotel with very helpful staff and good facilities. It's about 15 minutes walk from the railway station.

The location was fantastic. The lobby and the rooms were beautiful. The breakfast and dinner that they offer included in the price was absolutely fantastic each and every night, they also offer afternoon, coffee and pastry as well.

Great location for central Helsinki, staff were very welcoming and helpful, food was fantastic and room was great. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Nothing to mention really - thought the hotel was good all around. Room cleaning was a little random sometimes - one day bed made, no clean towels, then towels but bed unmade - not a big deal.

Super nice location, close to downtown. Perfect accomodation if you want to discover Helsinki. Vety nice rooms and building looks realy good. Very reasonably priced, considering what it offers.

It is just a very minor point, I was a bit disapointed by only lactose free milk during breakfast.

The food was delicious, the staff were helpful but not intrusive, the hotel’s design was very pleasant, and everything was perfectly clean. The hotel is close to everything — shops and the city center are within a 5–10 minute walk. The area is quiet, peaceful, and very clean.

It would have been nice to have a desk in the room, but I really loved the armchair with the footrest. The glass wall around the shower was quite inconvenient — my teenage son and daughter had to shower with the lights off because they were embarrassed in front of each other. If people who are not a couple share the room, this can be quite uncomfortable. Reaching the reception through the car entrance is not the best idea, but overall I was satisfied and would be happy to return to this hotel.

Perfect location, a small but well-equipped gym featuring the most modern equipment and everything you might need. Breakfast and dinner were wonderful — breakfast offered plenty of options, and dinner was generous and delicious.

Single room is really tiny but had all I needed, coffee, safe box and nice bed. Iron/board would be a plus.

An exceptionally beautiful hotel in a great location - everything is easy to reach from here! We were welcomed warmly, the room was lovely, and the food was incredible... and complimentary! We were honestly sad to check out. I'd come back again in an instant, we had a wonderful time.

The location was good, not far from a bus and tram stop and not far to walk to the main centre. The hotel was lovely, well kept, and the room very comfortable and nicely set up. The best bit was the included breakfast, Fika and evening meal. The food was good and plentiful and saved a small fortune over eating out.

The building is very unique and has a character. Inside it is a maze but we got used to it. The breakfast is in the cellar which provided a very nice atmosphere. The food was very good except the scrambled eggs which I couldn't figure out why I didn't like. Amazing coffee though and variety of breakfast choices. Hotel reception provides you with a tourist map with was nice touch. Books on the bedside table for avid readers was also a nice touch.

A staff person was supposed to arrange a cab for the morning for us. It took a long time; she didn’t seem to know what she was doing & never got us a cab.

Well located,friendly hotel staff and a wonderful breakfast buffet.

Room was beautiful, modern and clean. Gym was small but exactly what you needed. Breakfast was delicious! We had a great time here.

We were quite disappointed with the staffs attitude when requesting an early check in or late check out.

The main fantastic thing was the food. Breakfast AND DINNER included in price, plenty of delicious local food. Modern hotel in a historic-looking building, extremely helpful staff. Public transport stops nearby. Wonderful beds.

One of the best hotel experience. Rooms are designed very efficiently, everything worked and the food quality was excellent. Checkout at 12:00 is also a nice benefit.

We liked the gym and the food. The first room had an issue with the toilet, as the water was running non-stop. We reported it to the staff, and they upgraded us to a larger room. The staff were very kind, definitely worth the money and we will consider returning in the future

The whole hotel was very clean and quiet, it was only during food times that was saw or heard other guests. The room itself was very modern, clean and quiet, a very relaxing place for a city break. The room had lactose free milk supplied which was much to the delight of my partner, also the hotel had breakfast and dinner provided free of charge, plus free tea and coffee if you signed up for free to their Strawberry membership.

The only issue we faced was the one time we had dinner at the hotel. The food ran out faster than the staff could refill, so often there was a wait for food. The vegetarian option was listed but not available on the buffet, so my partner had to ask if there was any vegetarian food left.

The hotel is in a beautiful art nouveau building in the design district. The staff were helpful and friendly, rooms were comfortable and reasonably spacious and tram and bus stops are nearby. The fact that breakfast and dinner are included in the room price makes it very good value. We also found most of the meals to be very good with plenty of variety.

Sometimes the temperature in the room was too warm and the air conditioning didn't allow for it to be changed much. It would be good if there was an option to open the windows for fresh air.

The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and quick. After some wandering about, we found our room and settled in. Sizeable room with all the basic amenities provided - towels, soap, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner and even body lotion. There was also a kettle with a cup of goodies - sugar, instant coffee, earl grey and black tea. When it comes to the meals - amazing! Dinners are fairly small, but based on very clear menus that are easy to find. I'm sure a longer stay would be really enjoyable with the menu changing daily! Nevertheless, we really enjoyed the meal for that evening, there's also the option of soft drinks and wines for an added cost. Unfortunately we didn't make it to the fika, but the breakfast the next morning was incredibly delicious. Such an impressive variety of options - from cold to hot, light to filling - as expected, since European tastes alone alone can vary immensely. I wish I could've just stayed there for hours. As for coffee lovers, the machine only provided a single bean roast - strong and tasty, but no Cappuccinos nor Espressos. P.S. If you're craving a late-night snack or desperately need a toothbrush to replace the one you forgot at home, there are two corner shops right across the road. One of them is open 'til midnight.

The Chromecast for the room was an untameable beast.

The decor of the building and lobby is really unique. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Very good value for money with breakfast, snacks and dinner included also which was all lovely,

The shower door could open the other way so is smoother to get in and out but not too much of a problem

The Home Hotel Jugend is a very beautiful Hotel located very near to the Helsinki city centre . Breakfast and dinner are very nice . The staff help you for everything. The structure is very clean and very beautiful also inside .

I would have preferred better soundproofing in the room

I had a short one night stay. Everything went well. Both the dinner and breakfast were very tasty. Room was clean and modern and the facilities nice in general. Short 15 min walk from the train station.

Only downside was that there seems not to be free sauna available...

The hotel was of a high standard, the staff were friendly and the room was comfortable. The bathroom was very large, more like a wet room. The location of the hotel was approximately half mile to the centre of the city and the tram was literally on the adjacent street which made things easy to get around.

Although the breakfast was nice, there was a distinct lack of choice for dinner. The hotel lacked a wardrobe along with inadequate clothes hanging facilities.

Great food, good location and lovely atmosphere. The staff is great and helpful. Breakfast very Rick with a wide variety of selective local delicacies. The fika is a good inclusion. Dinner really well cooked but it is advisable to offer deserts as well!

I would prefer some toiletries in the room and cleaning to be every day without me asking for it.

Loved the food, it was fresh and healthy! I love veggies and there were plenty of options.

The hotel is conveniently close to the city centre, and easy walking distance. Also less than 10 minutes from the ferry terminal. My room was spacious and comfortable. Very convenient to be able to park my motorbike in the secure courtyard.

The only thing I didn't like (and it's trivial!) was the smell of the bathroom products. The soap smelled of formaldehyde, so after washing I had the odour of an embalmed corpse! 🤣

That you can’t open the windows. We said at the reception that we need fresh air in the room and they made an exception and gave us the window key to open one window. Otherwise we would not have liked to stay there.

Grading for this hotel is about an 8.5. Breakfast with a large selection was very good. Dinner was okay, a bit lacking in imagination. Coffee break was a nice idea. The hotel architecture is outstanding and unique, and the rooms are a decent size, with a good bed and high-quality bedding. Hotel staff are helpful and pleasant.

One toilet paper roll per room is absolutely insufficient for a group of three women. Dinner was a bit lacklustre; more attention should be paid to quality. The rainfall shower provided in some rooms is fantastic. The normal shower in this room was okay. In both cases, however, the water flows onto the bathroom floor. More thought should be given to preventing this.

Room for one person is tiny. Really, like in Paris.
