Motel One, Glasgow

I really appreciated being able to drop my bag in early and leave it late.

Great location, view, reception/lounge area, soundproofing, shower room, bed, bedding and price.

The room is very basic and the wood chip style wallpaper makes it look a little tired. Could also do with nicer in room coffee options.

Lovely inviting environment and attentive staff. Very central. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Loads. Fair size for what I paid. Had a laugh with the receptionist. Clean. Shower wasn’t a nightmare to figure out haha. Oh the air con was a life saver. Not something you expect to say in Glasgow.

Ngl those photos made me think I was getting something more interesting than white. I thought I was getting stylish vintage like downstairs but whatever it was a snap decision last min getaway night. The place was fab.

The location was excellent, directly beside Glasgow Central which made travelling to my destination a lot easier. The room had all the basics I needed and the staff were very friendly.

Bed was big, but the room was just a little on the small side. No real problem as we were just staying 1 night.

Breakfast had a fantastic variety of protein and carb options. Staff was friendly and attentive to refills and cleaning tables during a busy morning. Excellent variety of coffee options as well. Front desk staff was excellent in recommending restaurants for dinner. Everything was clean, easy to follow directions for the most part. Loved the coffee and tea options, electric kettle in our room. We would stay there again.

We could not regulate the temp in our room to the most comfortable warmth, so it was a little chilly but once under the covers it was good. Iy wasnt to the point we asked staff to get involved. Comfy bed. Nice shower and TV. It wasn't immediately clear how to turn on the lights- you had to insert a room card into a slot by the door to activate the switches. Could have been about 20% more room around the bed for walking and opening suitcases a bit easier.

Right next to the station, we had a room on the top floor which had a great view and good sized room.

We were early to try and check in but aware it was unlikely we would gain access to our room. Didn’t get the warmest greeting and the Lady on check in seemed a bit put out that we were there early, we only wanted to leave our bags. Other than that, hotel was fine. Location right next to the station, I think if we were on a lower floor there would’ve been noise from local bars!

I liked the friendliness of the staff and even them fufilling a personal request which was not reuquired at all.

I didn't dislike anything, very good upper mid tier hotel.

Modern, clean and very helpful staff. Loved talking to the servers at the bar area. The front desk staff were extremely helpful. Rooms were well equipped and clean.

The only thing would be there is no toilet on the main ground level.

The hotel is centrally located within easy walking distance from the main streets and merchant city. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom though small was well fitted with all necessities

2nd stay here, as before super quiet room with heat/cool system which works perfectly. We got a good deal on the price and love the comfy beds, linens and find the pillows superb.

Nothing really, couldn't get the tv channels to work properly bur it didn't bother us and we didn't bother informing reception until we left. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or to stay here again.

The location was perfect! Right next to Central Station. The rooms were clean and very quiet, considering where the hotel is located. Staff were kind and welcoming.

Check-in line was long at 3pm but they go through the line quickly. I do think the breakfast is a tad overpriced for what it is. It would be better at a £15 price point. If you are a tourist looking for a good location, I would recommend looking for something up towards Queen Street Station (that is where all the tours start near).

Overpriced due to football match in city.

I thought that the location was excellent. Close to the centre and my office. Easy to navigate the city from the hotel and to take in all of the sights. I like the fact that there are beverages and a kettle in the room and the shower was super effective

There wasn't really anything to complain about or dislike. It was all very nice and I enjoyed my stay.

It's close to the railway station and near the river. And a very pleasant hotel with a nice bar breakfast room 😋 very quiet and one good thing the window open just a bit to freshen up the room.

A lot of ongoing roads work outside, but this is beyond the hotel control. 😊 that all.

It was my 60th birthday. The check-in was spot on. The bar staff were particularly engaging, they had good knowledge of the artwork over the bar, made for good conversation.

Had a Scottish breakfast off-site. it would have been nice to have had it in the hotel

Just next to the railway station, which makes early travel easy. The area is bustling but inside the hotel it's quiet. Doors are closed after 9.30pm but can be accessed with room key, which offers an extra layer of security.

Room is on the smaller side, offering only one chair.

We had the best time at this very unique hotel. The staff is very sweet and it felt like staying at a friend’s house. The breakfast was lovely and the bar was amazing. Our room was clean and tiny but perfect for a solo stay or a couple who doesn’t mind being cozied up. The bathroom and shower were spacious and clean. We came visiting from the US and this area is fabulous- walkable, safe, and friendly. We will definitely stay again the next time we come to Belfast.

No lift so we had to carry luggage up the stairs. Sweet woman helped carry my heavy bag. Since this is a small old building I understand this is not possible to add.
